I am filing this complaint regarding the software developer site Prezi and their misleading 14-day free trial offer prominently advertised on their website. Prezi claims users can sign up and try their service for 14 days without being charged. However, when I attempted to cancel my trial before the period ended, I was charged the full subscription fee before the trial had expired. This practice feels intentionally deceptive. There was no clear notification or warning that the charge would be applied before the 14-day trial was actually over. Instead, users are led to believe they have the full 14 days to evaluate the product and cancel before being billed. After the charge was processed, I was forced to go through a frustrating and non-transparent process in an attempt to get a refundif they even decide to issue one at all. It appears this is a common experience for users, and it gives the impression that Prezi is relying on this confusion to charge people who never intended to purchase the subscription in the first place.I am requesting the BBB investigate this practice and hold Prezi accountable for misleading advertising and unauthorized charges. I would also like a full refund and for Prezi to clearly and transparently state on their website exactly when billing begins and how users can cancel effectively within the trial period before this happens to someone who doesn't have the funds in their account.Resolution Sought:Full refund of the unauthorized charge Clear and honest disclosure on the Prezi website about when billing begins Better communication about how to cancel within the trial period without penalty

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this review as we do take issue with some misstated facts. Prezi does offer a 14 day free trial. Cancellation is required to be made (either via the application where the option to cancel is persistently available) or, by requesting a cancellation via Customer Support. We prominently display this information both within our Terms of Use (hyperlinked in 2 different places through the signup process) and also state this policy and the date of trial cancellation and the amount to be charged if not cancelled prior to that - we state this on the checkout page directly prior to the trial user completing their signup. In addition, we do send, via email to the email used to signup, a reminder that the trial is coming to an end and we list the date and amount of the charge to be made. We take issue with the statement that our trial signup is at all deceptive. We provide no less than four statements about how trials and subscription charges are handled. We do of course require the trial user to take accountability for communicating whether they wish to cancel. We have no record of a complaint from this reviewer therefore we cannot with the specific dates and circumstances of her charges but we outline here our standard signup flow, disclosures, and handling practices to assure our trial users are informed of what they are committing to PRIOR to doing so and also have clarity on their obligation to communicate their desires with regard to a subscription.

My account was charged for annual subscription $288 without notification. I believed it to be a monthly subscription. Very difficult to get a response about a refund and when I did they denied my request. There is no phone number to call. How convenient ??.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this review as we do take issue with some misstated facts. Prezi does offer a 14 day free trial and then if not cancelled, an annual subscription unless a monthly subscription was selected. We have no record of a complaint from this reviewer therefore we cannot with the specific dates and circumstances of his charges but we outline here our standard signup flow, disclosures, and handling practices to assure our trial users are informed of what they are committing to PRIOR to doing so and also have clarity on their obligation to communicate their desires with regard to a subscription. With regard to responding when your refund was denied; we maintain an open ticket where you may correspond via email or chat at any time. If this customer wishes to provide their support ticket ID that is assigned with every response, we are pleased to review the details and review and respond with further detail.

Prezi is a scam. I tried to cancel my subscription and went through the toughest time. And in the middle of me canceling it glitches and goes back to the home page. This happened three times. Coincidence? I think not. Then you need the premium package for phone support. There hours to speak to a chat box is like 12am-4am. Ridiculous times. Complete scammers.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this review as we do take issue with some misstated facts. Please note that we have a chat and email support option - at no incremental charge. No premium support is required to contact us. If you experienced any issue in cancelling within the application, there is a widget to raise your request to our support team. We do not have a premium package for phone support so this is not accurate. Further, we do not have a chat bot for the hours in question. We do not have record of any complaint or refund request raised with our Customer Support team. If you wish to provide the Ticket ID associated with your request or chat conversation, we are pleased to review and respond to the specific details of your engagement.
