I took a bet on ICOC: International College of Cosmetology. The staff in the beginning were very helpful and explained things to me that I didnt understand and made me feel safe like I was making the right decision, but little did I know that was an act to basically rob me of $2500 and throw me to the curb. It is truly disgusting how I have been treated during this process and all I wanted was to be official and have all my licenses to live my dream of being a beauty salon owner. They have strung me along and I have not learned 10% of what I should have been taught by now. I still wish to continue my education, but I will not be insulted any longer by this school. I am formally requesting my paid tuition of $2500 back so that I may attempt to gain a productive learning experience at a school that cares about all of their students winning and getting the education and experience they paid for.

This school rips you off. I put down a deposit of *****. I decided to cancel my enrollment because the kit they provide you with that they make you pay for contained illegal MMA (liquid monomer), I canceled my enrollment within the week before my start date and within the cancelation period. From the beginning of my cancelation I gotten runaround from ****. I spoke to him and I sent emails canceling due to the hazard of getting exposed to MMA fumes. It is illegal to use MMA in the nail industry. When I finally got response they sent me a check for $690 instead of the ***** I paid. They took $910 in fees for books $450 that I never used, KIT I never used that contains illegal MMA $250 and the rest in application and registration fees. Not to mention that I never was informed about these fees or signed a cancelation notice. When I received the check they sent me a copy of a forged cancelation agreement. How do I know it was forged because the woman that wrote me the check for $690 also signed my initials in her own writing as if I wasn't going to notice that the check and the cancelation form contained her writing. I sent them an email letting them know that my initials were forged but they never responded so I filed a claim with my bank but because it involved forgery my bank could not ***** my claim. These people are thieves and frauds. They tried to set up a meeting with me but I responded that I would meet with them only if if they were going to give me all my money and give me an apology for the woman forging my initials but they stopped responding. There should be penalties for businesses that create predatory agreements. Also I believe the reason she forged my initials was because she knew she messed up by not informing me about any cancelation fees and since I never signed the cancelation form then by law they would have to give me all my money back.
