Blueprint Prep capitalizes on desperate kids trying to better their situation. Their business tries to sell the most expensive packages and services, while utilizing as many empty promises as they can to get the sale. Then when this kid has a small change in situation, which could range from having the flu for a week or having a parent die and having to take a year off, the program's endless penalties and non-refundable policies corner them into shelling out thousands of dollars. (the refund for some of their products is 24 hours, whether or not you have used the product at all. most of their products have a 3 day refund policy. others, if you are lucky, have a few months. oh! but wait! there is a fee to get a refund)There isn't a reason that so many of these non-refundable policies exist, other than a company building into their business plan that when a student's situation changes, they get paid without having to shell out any overhead. The best analogy I can think of is a sketchy gym that makes their money hoping people buy a gym membership, but never actually go to the gym. Then when you try to cancel the gym membership there are hoops, penalties, and hidden fees. The difference between Blueprint and the gym membership is that the gym, at the high end, can be 2k a year and the customer base are adults. ********************** can be, at the high end, tens of thousands of dollars, the customer base are kids that are still in their undergrad education and these kids are offered the option to pay for Blueprint using Affirm - which is a predatory loan company. I feel sorry for the kids who, like me, were desperate enough to believe in their product, signed up for Affirm, got sick and had to be hospitalized, tried to get a refund within the designated period but the fine print didn't let her "qualify", and now spends hundreds of dollars a month to Affirm for products that I wasn't even given the opportunity to continue after getting back from the hospital.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. The customer was denied a refund in accordance with our published policy, which can be found here: ****************************************************

As a courtesy, we offered to reinstate the students hours and extend access to their program so they could continue using the services purchased.

      Sincerely,

Purchased the 515+ guarantee course. Read over the requirements multiple times to make sure I was following all of the rules. Test day rolls around and I did not meet their guarantee. Requested a refund and despite meeting all of their parameters per my tracker, they are saying I did not attend the entire duration of the class on four separate occasions. When I looked further into these, three of the four were on a Monday which is when my husband and I had a work/school conflict. I would start the course from my phone and swap over to the laptop when he got home with it. I received a check **** for the course being successfully attended that day (because I was there) but when it came time to request a refund, they shot back with how I only attended x percent of these four individual days and arent giving me credit for those courses. There was no sign in or sign out or any other way for us to confirm we were there the entire time. What was I supposed to do - set my phone to record in the background the whole time to prove I was there? Why was my course ****ed as complete on my portal, but suddenly when it comes time to request a refund, suddenly the course wasnt complete? Intentionally deceptive practice. Huge lack of transparency. I will actively be leaving reviews of my experience on every premed forum that I can, since Blueprint is not transparent in their 515 requirements. I had months where I couldve made up a class (even though I was there) but instead it was ****ed as complete on my end without any sort of notification that I wasnt actually ****ed as attending the full class. I couldve dealt with the discrepancy when it happened instead of being surprised by the incorrect attendance ****ing two months later. I will never use another blueprint product again after this.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

Before receiving this complaint, this matter was promptly escalated to a manager for further review. Upon careful examination of the students course participation, attendance records, including the specific attendance discrepancies mentioned, we decided to honor the 515+ Score Increase Guarantee and proceed with a full refund.

Blueprint **** Prep uses contradictory policies to avoid honoring their Score Increase Guarantee. I purchased their program specifically for this guarantee as a financially disadvantaged student (AAMC Fee Assistance recipient).I completed Blueprint's full program, but my practice scores remained low. Blueprint instructors explicitly advised students not to take the actual **** with low practice scores, stating it would waste limited testing opportunities (students can only take the **** seven times in their lifetime).Following this professional guidance from Blueprint's instructors, I responsibly chose not to take the actual ****. When attempting to redeem the guarantee, Blueprint demanded an official **** score. When I explained I followed their instructors' advice, representatives (including escalation manager ******* *********) acknowledged that instructors advise against testing with low scores, yet insisted the guarantee requires taking the exam anyway. This creates impossible conditions and a no-win situation for students:Blueprint sells a guarantee to students Instructors advise against taking the exam with low scores Students must choose: ignore professional advice and waste limited **** attempts, or follow advice and lose eligibility Blueprint denies the guarantee because students followed that advice Blueprint refused to address this contradiction, claimed it was "fair policy," and unilaterally closed my case.Honor guarantee based on practice scores since I followed Blueprint's guidance, OR provide a full refund since the guarantee was meaningless due to contradictory policies.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

The learner requested to redeem Blueprints Score Increase Guarantee but did not meet the eligibility criteria. As outlined in our publicly available policy at ******************************************************************************, students must complete all program requirements and take an official MCAT exam to qualify. Unfortunately, this requirement was not fulfilled.

We appreciate the feedback and regret that the learner is dissatisfied, but the guarantee could not be honored under the stated terms.

I purchased a 170+ course in Feb. Early on, the class was inappropriate and a bad fit due to being designed for teenagers and children. The course was painfully distracting useless and cloying juvenilia, making it impossible for an adult to take the material or instructors seriously. My concerns regarding the inappropriateness of the course were met with nonresponsiveness and deflection. The refund period was problematic: It is posted on their website as three days, however the period is so brief that one would need to actually clarify the time of day that eligibility ends. Despite my having clarified this, the period is too short for a customer to make any meaningful judgement. For example, classes occur every four to five days, not three.A month in I had serious family medical emergency. My parent, who has been fighting a stage three cancer diagnosis and of whom I have become the primary caretaker, was twice admitted to the ** and ICU: on April 1 and again on May 8th. The Business has filibustered this emergency, providing useless, seemingly polite however patently nonresponsive, deflectionary and dishonest emails to no end. This has extended to over 28 emails and, as of today, three weeks time. The customer service was inappropriate in there responses, stating that they are sending "good vibes" with regard to family members extant morbid health issue. They repeatedly demand lengthy clarification, despite my having provided this many times including hospital docs, to many employees in writing and over phone. They incessantly deflect, stating that another employee will return call or email then said employee refuses to do so. Employees inexplicably, arbitrarily and surreptitiously changed their employment titles to give a false appearance of authority and further protract customer service.Requests pursuant to refund have all met with above behavior. I am asking for a refund and a three month extension of asynchronous material. If persists I will file SC-100.

Learner purchased on 2/26, inquired about refund policy on 2/27 and requested a refund 2+ months later on 5/5. Regarding the 3 day policy for a live course, we have live lessons every day except for Friday as well as hundreds of recordings of live courses to help make a decision. We offered a 6 month pause on their account (until they are ready to study again) and later offered a free 3 month extension due to their circumstances, even though they are well outside of the refund policy.

I purchased a Blueprint LSAT prep course for over $***** under the impression that it came with a score increase guarantee. After completing the programincluding attending all live sessions (re-watching some), completing over ***** practice questions, and taking 8 practice examsI did not see the score improvement I expected. When I inquired about the guarantee, I was informed that I did not qualify due to not taking the diagnostic exam under strict timing conditions and not completing a specific subset of QBank questions. While I understand that technicalities can disqualify a claim, I believe this policy is intentionally deceptive. Nowhere during the course enrollment process did Blueprint make these rigid requirements clear enough. In fact, the program encourages students early on to do untimed work, making it easy to unknowingly disqualify yourself from the guarantee. Blueprint clearly knows students are unlikely to thoroughly examine all the fine print in advance, especially when juggling intense study schedules. It feels like a trap that capitalizes on overwhelmed *********** my view, this is misleading advertising. Had I known how difficult it would be to qualify for the guarantee, I would not have spent over $***** on this course. I am filing this complaint so that other consumers are warned before committing to a program with fine print that renders its guarantees meaningless for most students.

Customer did not meet the guarantee requirements with regard to exams or questions (157/500 completed). Customer also took the diagnostic under untimed conditions which does not mimic test day and naturally will inflate scores.

I paid around $3000 for the **** 515+ Course, which is a course that guarantees a certain score after taking the ****. I took the exam but did not receive the intended score, so I emailed them for a refund, since they heavily advertise that a refund or course extension is granted when the score does not reach their standards. They have a whole page dedicated to terms and conditions for the guarantee. One of these points for the guarantee is that you must take 9 practice exams under "test-like conditions". Test-like conditions are defined as being taken under "accurate timing", and other conditions reflecting testing day. These conditions are very vague and is basically up to the company to decide whether you fit these standards or not. I got denied the refund because some of my exams were not under "accurate timing" because "they were not taken in 6+ hours", which is NOT stated on the terms and condition page, so I'm failing to see how this is a fair denial. It seems like they are grasping at straws to deny you a refund, which is concerning given the fact they advertise this so heavily, and also considering there is no way for students to check the exam details on the website they provide. The exact timing in which exams are taken is not provided on the page, so there is no way of knowing whether or not the exams you take are under their standards for "test-like conditions". I even contacted support to see if the exams I had taken fell under the guarantee requirements, and their response reassured me that as long as I completed it without any extended time, I would be okay. They essentially keep students in the unknown about their exam details to have an excuse to deny any refunds. Please stay away from purchasing any products from them if you want a company that fairly refunds you in the event that you may need one.

I purchased the Blueprint 170+ LSAT course because it was advertised as a get a 170+ or your money back program, as long as you completed all the requirements. I put in the work, completed everything they required, and still didnt get the score. When I applied for a refund, they denied it, saying I didnt attend a few of the live sessionsdespite the fact that I watched every single recording. I was across the country at the time and couldnt watch live due to the time difference, but I still made sure to go through all the content. That didnt matter to them. They refused to honor their own guarantee, even though I did everything they asked. This feels incredibly misleading and unfair. If youre considering Blueprint for their guarantee, just know theyll find any reason not to give you a refund. Be careful before spending your money.

Date of transaction was 1/19/2025. I was billed in the amount of $179.00 for a monthly subscription that I had previously canceled via their website. My LSAT exam date was set for 1/18/2024. Therefore, I only agreed to purchase the first initial month then would no longer continue the service because the service would no longer be needed. Furthermore, I was still charged on 1/19/25 so I called their customer service and left a voicemail. They did not return my call. Therefore, I went online and chatted with a customer service representative named August, who showed no remorse in telling me that a refund would not be possible. She lied to me that she was the manager and later admitted she was not and would pass my feedback to the manager the following day. They have no intention of refunding the money and are very pleased with themselves when they steal from students. Blueprint purposely tells their support team to deny refunds and avoid and consumer complaints. Additionally, they lie about their score increase guarantee and will not even refund money for their failed business promises.

Date of transaction - July 28, 2024 Amount - $1,699 I purchased an LSAT prep course, "170+ guarantee course (or 10point increase)". Neither of these outcomes happened. Not only is the advertising predatory, their terms for the guarantee is a laundry list buried in the site. The way the class interface and study plan THEY PROVIDE, is not in line with their own parameters. I was given numerous excuses once I reached out to the business and they only talked in circles.
