I honestly do not think there is a customer service that is worse than **********************. I have purchased a tablet as well as a phone both malfunctioned and then they still wanted me to buy new ones. Refused to honor a warranty and then won't send emails with any additional information.If you are considering this company please don't.Review from Armando J

I did everything and was approved I got a confirmation number. Never got a phone. They emailed 2 weeks later and said this is your phone number. Im like for what I never got a phone. Contacted them to resolve the issue. At the customer service they never got back to me. It's been to months no phone no service wondering if they are still billing the government for the free phone and service I never received. I read the trustpilot reviews all the 5 star reviews sounded way to technical to be real from someone that needed and qualified for a free phone bad by the government.Review from Barry S

A salesperson knocked on my door and offered to update my lifeline service. He also offered a free tablet to go with it. I provided him with the necessary information to update the service. Later, he informed me that to receive the free tablet, I would need to transfer my ACP benefit over to TruConnect. I declined the offer and asked him to keep the tablet. He agreed and left. However, I later found out that my ACP benefit had been transferred to TruConnect without my consent. I contacted TruConnect's customer service and spoke with multiple agents and supervisors over a few weeks, but they were unable to restore my ACP benefit to my original service account. Their only suggestion was for me to go online and take advantage of a $10.01 offer for the same tablet that was originally offered for free." Bad service. Charged $20 and they said they didnt take the money from the bank right away. They also lied and said I didnt apply for lifeline. The tablet sent is low quality. **************** will argue with you. This is a total scam company.Review from Tiffany L

I enrolled with TrueConnect through the *** program. The TrueConnect offer stated that I would receive a free phone and a tablet for $10.01. but that it wouldn't come out of my bank account right then. When I checked my bank account, the $10.01 has come out of my account. But I never received a tablet or a phone. Then when I contacted customer service they tried to tell me that I don't have an account with them and tried to rush me off the phone. So I requested to speak with the supervisor. The supervisor was also trying to tell me that I didn't have an account and after about 5 minutes she finally found my account number and then she tried to tell me well we don't have anything with you we don't have any application we don't have anything with you so I'm like well then why did you charge my account $10.01 and then I'm telling her I want my money back because I can prove that TrueConnect had taken the $10.01 from my bank account. So after she argued with me about me not having anything with them I guess she looked up refunds and then she said she did find information on a refund and so she escalated it and then told me that I would receive a call from them regarding my refund and she gave me a case#. So I am not happy with them at all and I will never apply with them or any of those phone internet providers that are connected with ***.Review from Rahul C

Was coaxed to purchase Amazon FireHD tablet. We aren't quite satisfied with the product. When I called the customer service they bluntly say it's not returnable because it was bought at a discount price of $87. Called customer service many times but they outright reject it. BBB please help me resolve this issue as we are in hardship to keep an unsatisfied product.Review from Patricia B

I have had truconnect for over 2 yrs now and I didn't have no problems with them till about a yr ago. I'm disabled and on a fix income so I went thru truconnect and was getting good service for over a yr and then one day I started not having any data on my phone. I only use the data to play one game ever once in a while but they told me that I had used up all my data and there is no way possible I could have used all my data. They kept on wanting me to buy more data all the time and I can't afford it. One month I had to buy $40 of data just so I could use my data on my phone and I can't afford that anymore. So now ever month I have had to call them and they told me I was to get my data on the 22nd of ever month. So the 22nd of this month I never received my data so I called them and now they have changed it and now there saying I won't get my data till the 3rd of the month and again they wanted me to buy more data but I don't think it is right to do there customers this way changing the dates of when they get there services without letting u know about it. So I am tired of being ask to buy more data when they aren't giving us our data we r suppose to get to start with. So I need someone to look into this and see if I can get this fixed so I can use my phone like I'm suppose to be able to do. Thanks.Review from Todd N

they want pictures of your state issued I.D. and benefits card. front and back. THEN THEY TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR FACE. last 4 digits of Social Security. THEN they deny your application. I WOULD BE VERY SKEPTICAL about giving any personal info to this SCAM operation!Review from Joshua H

This is a company that preys on disabled seniors. Thanks to the predatory practices my mother who is on a fixed income is out hundreds of dollars and I am out hours of my life. They failed to advise my mother of the costs associated with the services they foisted on her and their so-called customer service we're either too incompetent to even understand what we were saying or more likely were purposefully making sure they inflicted the maximum damage as a retaliatory measure when we explained their services weren't desired. The fact that a company like this is allowed to benefit from government contracts is truly dismaying.Review from Julie L

what a hassle to even try to activate the sim card they send you...they say you have to call your original carrier to unlock the phone whatever that means...ill just stick to something else. and obviously all the workers are based out of ***** so who knows if theyd try to scam with the questions
