      I have had 3 separate car theft incidents in our building's parking garage. The first time i raised the complaint about it to the management, i asked for a **** video coverage to help identify who did it but the management did not provide anything. My car was runsacked and my ipad for school got stolen along with other things. The second time it happened, my gas cap got stolen along with some gas. Management didn't do anything to help. Told me to file a police report and that they can't help me. I heard similar complaints from other tenants that their car got broken into. The third incident it was broken into, thankfully nothing important was stolent except for my car vacuum and shoes. All three incidents i filed a police report for, but everything happened in our apartment's garage. We paid for parking garage ever since this new management took over the previous owner, and ever since they took over, all three incidents occurred almost every year and they never once did anything to help prevent it. The previous management made sure that there was a security guard that roams around every night to make sure no incidents occur and they never even charged us for parking. But now that we're paying every month, we get s*** service and we get the hassle and we don't get compensated for anything. Only a sign post at the garage stating that management is not held liable for stolen things. All incidents occurred when our family is gone for days on a short trip, and I made sure that the car is locked.

      I was offered a job in ********** and needed to relocate from *******. My husband and I found the listing for the apartment managed by Westside habitats. I contacted the leasing agent, ***************************, but she would not answer the phone. She responded when we texted her. Being in *******, we had to rely on the details/photos in the listing to determine that this was the right rental unit for us. I asked for a live video tour but ***** was unresponsive. Neither my husband nor I were successful in getting her on the phone and never received a call back or a video of the unit as we requested. She would only reply to some of our inquiries via text or email, often with delay. Having only 3 weeks to move, I trusted the information provided in the listing on the unit and we signed the lease. Two critical reasons I chose this unit over others: the photos showed the unit was facing the rear of the building, and the flooring was laminate and not carpet. When I arrived on move in day, I was shocked to find that the unit was not the one in the photos. It faces the front of the building on a busy street and is extremely noisy. I am unable to sleep in very noisy environments and this severely affects my ability to function during the day. I am a healthcare worker and have an enormous responsibility to make critical life and health-impacting decisions for my patients. Restful sleep is essential for me. Whats worse, both bedrooms are carpeted. I have asthma and allergies which *** worked hard to keep under control without medication. The instant I walked into the unit, my nose got congested, forcing me to breathe through my mouth, and a few minutes later my throat started to burn. I had to resort to taking medication to avoid an asthma attack. I contacted the leasing agent immediately, and as usual she refused to make herself available by phone. She requested for me to text her. I told her what the issues were and she said we signed a lease and cant move us to another unit.

      I signed a lease for a parking space about 3 weeks ago, at that point the amount due was paid. Due to gross incompetence and neglect, I have not received the space that I am currently paying for. The property manager nor upper management does does not communicate at all. I should not have to incessantly nag my landlord to get a simple issue resolved, while they drag it out for weeks/months at a time.

      Apologies.  This has been addressed and the parking spaces have been updated.  While migrating parking systems and onboarding a new employee, we did not have the proper parking assignments/swaps noted.  This is our error entirely.  

      We'll refund the parking for this period.  

      The resident has an assigned spot - correctly now  - and there should be no issues going forward.

      Management at this apartment complex (Westside Habitat) are refusing to fix front door by mailboxes. This is very unsafe and concerning. It has been 2 months and they blame it on the humidity. Homeless people can come and go as they please. There are a lot of other problems here that I would like to talk with someone over the phone about because there's a lot and I would like to give detailed accounts. Someone definitely needs to look into this matter because a lot of tenants feel unsafe here.

      Hello, we did send someone to fix the door by the mailboxes but it still did not function properly. We had to send a specialist out and they are currently working on it. This job is not a quick and easy fix and has taken us time to complete, but we are still actively working on completing the remedy as the entire door was broken. We will update again when we complete the repair.
