      This location has a rat infestation and roaches. I have communicated with the office for about 2 months now. They know there is a problem. Upper Mgmt said there is nothing he can do about it and all he can ask is "if we bought their insurance" to file a claim. This is not a solution. I have sent emails with pictures of dead rats *************** strong odors], yet no one has had the courtesy to call me back. We have cleaned our storage to only have rat urine/feces within days. All I asked was for a solution and upper **** chose to do nothing about this. I have called a few times and no one wants to give me the Corp number or email. They say I need to deal with the storage location. This has caused health hazzards for use, so just making everyone else aware and to be cautious. This has only escalated because upper mgmt chose not to take action a few months ago and help solve the problem. Monthly rent is paid, so that our belongings can be stored in a clean environment and this place had just gone downhill since ownership changed. We have not asked for the impossible, we have asked for consideration of the problem and the company has chose to ignore it.

      Ask me before renting from this *************** ******* location. One ****** ****** is running a criminal enterprise. He will cleverly divest you of your property. I will gladly share my experience. Many former renters are planning a class action lawsuit

      We started renting an outdoor parking spot for our camper in April 2023 at $89/month rate. At that time, we were informed that by February 2024, they would be installing security gates that would require a passcode, and painting all spots with parking spot numbers so all customers would have their own designated spot. It is now October 2025, and none of that happened.The parking lot became increasing unsafe, unclean and lacked security, even though we were told by them (after showing pictures of broken glass around our camper) that they would be increasing security. Despite all of this, prices kept increasing to almost $300 this past month.We have two camping trips left in the season, when we arrived, we arrived to a sign TAPED to our camper, stating that they could not contact us because "our parking permit was not visible" (see attached picture showing visibility". However, they were able to get a hold of us as they sent us numerous letters through the mail about upcoming price increases and they have contact information in their database. The notice also stated that they were in the process of selling the lot and to come into the office to discuss "options" (most campers are done for the season and I feel that people will not be get notified that the lot is being sold).On September 26, I went into the office and was told "I should be out by the end of the month". Then I was told I could possibly told I could stay until October 20. There were NO other options to discuss (ie. transfer to another lot) - just get ****** NOT RENT HERE (although by the time you read this, the lot will be sold).

      Ive been a loyal customer with the company for 5 years. My account was on auto pay and somehow stop working. I received a email stating the my unit would be auctioned off by a certain date. I made it back into town to pay the money owed. The next day I go up to my unit to find my whole shoe collection gone, a camera bag gone and some more designer items. I reported it to the office manager, who then called the police to make a return. The office manager was super nice and caring. I hope as a company they look into what happened bc this seems a little weird that my unit was do for auction and after 5 years the unit gets broken into!!

      Worst storage company ever. I'm 36 days late, my monthly rent is $27 a month. They're trying to charge me a $190 late fee and won't let me in the unit to get my Social Security card for work Tuesday. First time I was ever late, getting over a family crisis, my Mom died, I explained this to them. The district manager was supposed to call me within 24 hours, never did. Outrageous, of course I called Corporate, no callback. I've done business with plenty of other storage companies, so have friends, never dealt with this or anything close. Earn the 1 star. Is the late fee even legal?

      Mr. ******* as our District Manager explained, we do not allow access to the unit until the account is brought current.  We have provided a courtesy for the late fees incurred in July and August due to your circumstances, but the account remains in arrears and access cannot be granted until it is brought current.  Thank you.

      My initial experience with them was great, clean facility and nice staff. However, just 5 months into my rental agreement with them they changed the price on me from $76 to $176. When I complained I had to speak with many different people and they said they could drop the price to $132, which is still almost double what I signed up for. No sympathy, just thats what we can do, that is todays going rate. Take it or leave it.Very crooked way of doing business. I understand market fluctuations and inflation, but not well over 100% in five months.

      I rented a 5x10 unit at SmartStop in ******** a couple weeks ago, the place was clean and the front desk was nice explaining me the sizes and the insurance options. But I noticed that if you want to move to a bigger unit the price go up fast, like 15% more, and the access hours are kind of short, they close at 7pm.Overall it does what it says, the storage feels safe, but the price jump and the limited hours made it a bit unconfortable for me.

      Less than 1 I would give them MINUS 10 if possible Zero customer service since taking over Amazing spaces The former company was great and accommodating for YEARS that I was with them The new people Would not work with me at all with my wine storage which i have had for MANY YEARS with Amazing spaces The new owners DO NOT CARE It s obvious in their conversations with me .I'm moving my wine storage to another accommodating facility for these *** people do not care about customer service or satisfaction at all My money is going elsewhere. I will tell everyone I know about this scenario and avoid this new company at all cost. There are others out there. I suspect there will be no reply to this..........THEY DO NOT CARE. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!! Not how your customers perceive you.

      The manager at ****** location is the rudest and most ignorant person I have ever met. She challenges everything you say. On one occasion there were 2 people sitting in the loading area smoking cigarettes in a non smoking area, resting their feet on the Dollies and organizing their knapsacks. I did not feel safe **** phoned her and told her there were two homeless people smoking in the loading dock area. Her response was 1. she cant monitor the smoking and 2. how do you know they are homeless. Do you know them personally. No concern for my safety or the fact that people were smoking in the storage area. The second incident was today. I called to advise that I was billed for June when I moved out in May. She left me a voice mail along the lines of I told you we couldnt provide pro rata billing and if you dont move out til June 4 you get billed the whole month. I called her back to advise that I moved out in May - not June and so I shouldnt be billed. Without skipping a beat she said in a very nasty voice - is it on your statement or just billed. If you have only been invoiced we have not made a mistake. Run - dont walk from SmartStop on *********************.

      STAY AWAY! I booked a storage unit and called first thing in the morning to tell them I was moving my furniture in. I had movers booked, loaded a whole house of furniture up and arrived to have a notice posted on the door that no one could get back to the office at 2:30pm. It was 11:30 am when I arrived. DO NOT book this storage unit. Terrible communication. I now have a moving truck full of furniture with no where to ********* moving company had to sit with their truck from 11:30 to 2:30 so we are now getting charged the hourly rate for 3 hours that we would have not had to pay if the corporate office knew how to communicate properly with its local ******************* I spoke to the manager and he is only offering $100 to cover this cost that is Smart Stop Storage's error.
