      This repair shop quoted me a job time of 2 weeks which turned to 3 months. During the time, they stated they resurfaced my heads as I requested but then told me my right head had issues which shouldn't be the case if they sent it out for resurfacing. They charged me for that part and the resurfacing job. The right head still has issues when I got my car back. After the job is "completed" they told me to come in and pick it up making me pay for the vehicle repair before getting in the car. Once paid for, I go to the garage and see my car is still suspended in the air not ready to be driven off. When I try to start it, it wouldn't start and had many error codes showing. A month later, my car is able to drive but the codes are still there and a lot of issues are still present with my engine. They refused to refund me stating they would have to halt service after I paid. I took the vehicle to another mechanic for a full diagnosis where he discovered that the engine had been installed improperly, had too much rtv sealant used, even entire missing headstuds. The shop owner and that mechanic clearly did not care as this is not supposed happen after being in their shop for 3 months. They even lost my subwoofer during this whole process and refused to look at the cameras stating they don't work.

      I went to the ******** location in *******, for a clunking sound under my 2015 ****** Forester, the mechanic quoted me over $3,000 for the repair which was two broken arms, one on each side. I did a ****** to see what I should expect to pay, which was between $200 and $1,200 including part and labor Per component. I personally have a rule of thumb, if any repair is over $500, I get a second opinion. Sure enough I took it to a second shop, removed the sticker of Family Auto, so no one can verify the previous quote, and got a quote of $1,237. I even tried following up with Family Auto, to notify owner, this is no way to build a business. Of course I was not given the owners contact info. Glad I followed my $500 rule. Unless you want to pay TRIPLE or thousands more, AVOID going here!
