On May 5th I reached out to americor to help with debt. I had spoken to a lady named ******. She told me to send an email of the loan agreements. I sent it to her and on Monday morning may 8th. She responded back telling me that she received it. I havent heard from her. On May 11th I reached out to ****** for a follow up she responded back on may 12th she said she was out sick for the past few days and that she will follow up with americor about the documents. I responded and said to keep me posted. I have not heard back. On may 19th I reached out again through email telling her it has been a week since she reached out. Today is June 2nd I have not heard back. This is a company that is supposed to help you and here I am left hanging.Business Response

Its absolutely impossible to get through to a human to cancel. My Account Number: ******* I started digging into what they have on their site and several of the accounts they have as "negotiating" on their client portal have actually been removed or charged off months ago. Americor obviously isnt staying on top of things and is charging a pretty ***** to do this. I want to cancel immediately but the chat window they have on their site is useless....calling them always results on them not answering or their systems hanging up on me. Their employees have been little to no help. I just want to cancel my account immediately and need to know what my final amount owed is to be done with Americor and Advantage Law (who they use) immediately!!!!Business Response

We have conducted research on her internal file. The customer called in on June 1, 2023 and spoke with an Americor ****** Services representative. Regarding her request to cancel, such was discussed, but the customer stated that she wanted to pay off the creditors that were currently in term settlements. A payoff quote, including outstanding fees, was sent to her via email the same day. In response, also the same day, the customer requested the removal of the 7 unsettled accounts. She further stated that once these accounts are removed, she would make a final decision on canceling or moving forward. On June 12, 2023 contact was made with the customer via telephone, at which time she mentioned that she had reviewed her account and elected not to cancel. Her file was placed back in active status.

Signed with this "debt relief" program. Am told I need to make a payment by MAY 26th.Tell agent I do not have the money. Please be advised that the customers Debt Resolution Agreement has been cancelled effective May 23, 2023. As a deposit change from May 26, 2023 to June 22, 2023 was previously made by the customer,no withdrawals will be made from her bank account.

Americor is a ************************** and I have signed up with them on 11/17/22 but recently I have cancelled this service due to my Bank Account ending **** was always going into the negative balances big time every month and my bank account was going to be closed that would drastically effect my social security and my pension. My social security and pension would stop sending me monies and it would devastate my everyday and monthly survival. On April 28, 2023, someone from Americor *********************** sent me an email that my debt resolution plan have been cancelled and that within 5-7 days a refund will be processed. Meanwhile, after my cancellation with Americor, my bank account **** Debit Card was compromised and my bank had to replace it and deleted the compromised **** Debit Card I previously had ending in ****. The refund they have mentioned I have not seen, they never gotten back regarding how much and they have lagged on there statement to me. I sent them a contact ** message that my bank account has not changed, everything is the same, the only thing that changed was my **** Debit Card. I have already given them all the necessary information and still they lagg. Please help, I am a 74 year old USAF Veteran on a fixed income. There is just too many businesses these days that you just cannot trust, they are happy to take the monthly payments but they lagg on refunds.Business Response

Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) is in receipt of ************************ complaint (#********). We appreciate the opportunity to respond to his concerns.
We have conducted research into the internal file of the customer regarding his cancellation and his request for a refund of any remaining funds in his account after cancellation. As mentioned in his complaint, his debt resolution program was cancelled on April 28, 2023 per his request. Confirmation of such was sent to the customer on the same day, and his savings account ledger was reviewed.
Upon review of the customers saving account ledger (attached), the customer had $47.40 in his dedicated savings account at the time of cancellation. This amount was applied to the outstanding balance of the settlement fees due on the Aspire/Fortiva account. It should be noted that Americor did take a loss in this situation, because the savings account balance didn't cover all fees owed to Americor ($160.15, of which only $75.13 had been paid out of the customers savings account at the time of cancellation). As a result, the customer does not have an amount to be refunded.

I have been attempting to cancel, or terminate my contract with Americor for over a month now. My primary complaint is that when I have **************** on the phone, they tell me that I must speak to the cancellations department. I can never seem to be successfully transferred to the cancellations department because they dont do that. Do you give them your number and say that they will call you back in the next 48 hours. Those phone calls repeatedly come at the very end of the business day, and because they are from an unlabeled source they blend in with all of the other Robo calls. Theres no mechanism I can find anywhere, even in their own knowledge base information materials to submit a written request for termination. ** fact the *** describing how to do just that does not contain the written request for termination it references. I feel this is an undue burden on the client and just a ridiculous, avoid doing it exercise, trying to finally pin somebody down to simply cancel.Business Response

Received pre-approved offer for loan. Applied, was told I didn't pass for the full loan but was approved for a finance loan to consolidate my credit cards and personal loan. That was yesterday, had me sign online for me and my wife. Wife found out it's not a loan at all it's a debt consolidated company. Yes, we have credit cards but NO late payments and scores are ok and rising. They don't tell whole truth. I want it cancelled immediately ..Did not sign up for this scheme.Business Response

I was contacted by this company, and initially i was thinking of pursuing business with them, I changed my mind, and repeatedly have told them that I am no longer interested- I voiced that I did not want to pursue any contract with them, on recorded lines, and they continue to contact me. I have told person after person to stop contacting me, I have blocked nearly 15 different numbers , and I am still getting calls throughout my day, I just want them to stop contacting me, this feels like harassment, and I would simply just like them to stop calling my phone while I am at work and with my family - to stop calling all together.Business Response

I requested to cancel the program on May 1st. I was told on the phone that I would receive my reimbursement within 5-7 business days to my bank. I also received an email from them confirming this. Now it is May 8th, a week later, 5 business days later, and I just received a email stating that they finally canceled the account and they will be mailing me a check. I called and spoke to a lady at Americore and she said that depening on any bank holidays or if I canceled on a Friday, it would take time to process. I said that May 1st was a Monday and usually, the banks don't close for Cinco *******. She said that their bank first has to do a review and if there are any pending scheduled payments, they have to be canceled first. I told her that my automatic payments were scheduled for the 25th, so Im not sure how a payment o April 25th has anything to do with a cancelation on May 1st. It was a circular conversation, but I think it is kind of shady how they do business, because they don't tell you that it actually takes 10 to 14 business days for refunds and cancelations. Just one excuse after another. My reason for canceling was that they settled one of my accounts in March but didn't schedule the payment until June, and my next settlement wasn't scheduled until October. I was told a drop in my credit for the first moth or so but that most pople see an increase in their credit by the third month or so. How am I going to s an increase in my credit score if setting my debt isn't scheduled until June or October when I started the program in February?I need my refund in my bank account by May 10th, which I was told i would receive on May 1st. Obviously, I am experiencing a hardship and I expect a company to preform ethically in regards to my cancelation.Business Response
