I receive and inordinate amount of solicitations from this business. It is nonstop. The calls go directly to voicemail so you cannot answer them live. They continually call from different numbers as well. There is a singular number left on each voicemail. When you call them back they immediately hang up on you without removing or confirming your number. They also claim that if you call back you are immediately removed from the do not call list. The employee named "****" claims to be a manager, however others have acknowledged that this a blatant misrepresentation. This business practice is deceptive. I will pursue further action if the calls continue.

Liberty First Lending (Liberty)is in receipt of Mr. ****** BBB complaint 23730762.  We appreciate the opportunity to respond to his concerns.

Upon receipt of this complaint, we conducted a thorough search of our database and found no leads or calls to his number.  Nonetheless, we have placed the information provided on our internal DNC list to ensure that we do not target his name, phone number or email address in the future.

Since Liberty First Lending was not specifically named, ******** should be aware that there are many other lenders with Liberty in their names.  A quick search revealed at least ten other lenders with Liberty in their name via the **** Consumer access website.

In addition, we have recently received similar complaints from people we have not contacted.  Accordingly, if you can provide dates, times, phone number or anything else that could help us investigate, we would appreciate it.

Finally, if the information was obtained through a pre-screen inquiry, to help prevent future unsolicited pre-screened offers from other companies, he may also opt out through the major credit bureaus by visiting *********************** or calling **************.

Liberty First Lending (Liberty)is in receipt of Ms. ******* complaint 23729513.  We appreciate the opportunity to respond to her concerns.

Upon review, we conducted a thorough search of our internal systems and did not locate any records of outreach or lead information associated with her name, phone number, or address. Nonetheless, we have proactively added the contact details provided in the complaint to our internal Do Not Contact list to prevent any future marketing outreach by Liberty.

We would also like to note that we have recently become aware of other entities placing unsolicited calls while falsely identifying themselves as Liberty First Lending. If Ms. ******* is able to provide any specific call details (e.g., dates, times, phone numbers, caller ID info), we would be grateful, as it may assist in identifying the source of these unauthorized contacts.

Additionally, we would like to bring to her attention that several lenders use the term Liberty in their business names. A search of the **** Consumer Access website reveals multiple entities that may be unrelated to our organization.

Lastly, if these offers were sent as part of a credit pre-screening process, she may reduce future unsolicited loan offers by visiting *********************** or calling ************** to opt out of such marketing through the major credit bureaus.

We respect Ms. ******* concerns and have taken steps to ensure that Liberty will not contact her in the future.

I received a pre-approval letter in the mail which is how I became aware of this company. First line on the letter is, "If you're overwhelmed with debt, we have solutions". I go through the entire process of speaking with the representative and allow the soft credit check. He then tells me they can't help me because the lenders look for credit utilization between 25-35%. If someone is looking for debt relief, especially of high interest credit cards, why in the world would their credit utilization need to be so low. My credit utilization was at 60% and it was a hard no; sorry we can't even consider you. Absolute false advertising and misleading information. If you have a credit utilization of over 35%, don't waste your time.

Liberty First Lending (Liberty) is in receipt of Ms. ****** BBB complaint ******** and
    appreciates the opportunity to respond.

Ms. ****** contact information was included in a marketing list based on pre-screening
criteria. She contacted Liberty in response to a mailer offering information on debt consolidation loans. After a soft pull of her credit report, it was determined that she did not meet the underwriting requirements for that particular program. While the mailer indicates potential eligibility, final approval is based on full underwriting review.

Ms. ***** did not provide an address, so to help prevent future unsolicited pre-screened offers from other companies, she may opt out through the major credit bureaus by visiting
    *********************** or calling **************.

We apologize for any misunderstanding and remain available to address any additional

This organization has repeatedly called me, from different numbers over the past several weeks. The messages they leave, are all very similar, along the lines of "I have your loan file on my desk ready for approval, I just need to go over the details with you and confirm information... please call back at ************"On the occaisions I've answered the phone, I have asked to be removed from their call list and been assured I would be immediately removed, yet calls persist. Please note: I have applied for no loans from anyone over the past 2 years. i am on the National Do Not Call Registry. I have never done any business with Liberty Lending. Therefore, there calls to me are also in violation of *** regulations. A complaint is also being lodged with the ***. I will allow 24 hours from this complaint for Liberty to react, after which, any further contact will also be reported to the office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General for possible legal action.

Liberty First Lending is engaging in predatory mail offer practices. Their envelope states Violation Punishable by Fine or Imprisonment, and Dated Material: Open Immediately. This is wrong to scare people into opening their unsolicited mail offers.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/25/2025

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that receiving mail with certain language on the envelope caused ************ concern, and we sincerely apologize for any distress this may have caused him.

Mr. ******** name was included on one of our marketing lists, which led to him receiving this communication. The language on the envelope, referencing 18 USC 1702, is a simplified version of a federal regulation. Its purpose is to protect mail recipients by discouraging unauthorized persons from tampering with their correspondence. We want to assure Mr. ******* that the language was not intended to be threatening or deceptive.

For context, the full text of the regulation reads:

Whoever takes any letter, postal card, or package out of any post office or any authorized depository for mail matter, or from any letter or mail carrier, or which has been in any post office or authorized depository, or in the custody of any letter or mail carrier, before it has been delivered to the person to whom it was directed, with design to obstruct the correspondence, or to pry into the business or secrets of another, or opens, secretes, embezzles, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.

While the language on the envelope was intended to protect mail recipients, we recognize that it was not well-received in this instance.

Upon receiving Mr. ******** complaint, we immediately removed him from all our marketing and contact lists, including our internal Do Not Contact list, to ensure he will not receive any further communication from us.

We deeply regret any discomfort this situation may have caused Mr. ******* and appreciate him bringing this matter to our attention so we can continue to improve.

Liberty First Lending advertises their business as a debt consolidation loan company and do the classic bait and switch and then try to get people to sign up for a debt settlement company, called ********. This should be illegal and the company should be fined. No where in our 20 minute conversation do they say anything about their company being called ********, instead of Liberty First Lending, or anything about their company being a debt settlement company.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/18/2025

Liberty First Lending (Liberty) has received BBB Complaint ******** from James ***** and appreciates the opportunity to respond.
Liberty provides personal loan services, personal loan brokerage services, and also generates lead traffic that it routes to trusted partners for the offering of partner
services. Both Advantage Law and ******** are trusted partners that can offer help to those who are over-burdened by unsecured debt.
Mr. ***** contacted Liberty in response to an advertisement for those seeking information on consolidation loans. A soft pull of his credit report demonstrated
that these partners may be able to offer significant benefit to him because of the amount of unsecured debt he has. Due in part to the amount of that debt, Mr.
***** was unable to qualify for the loan at the time and the trusted partners may be able to help him reduce his debt load.

We apologize for any miscommunication. .If Mr. ***** has further questions or concerns, we are happy to assist.

Since 11/27/24 Liberty First Lending has called and texted over 112 times and has left voicemails in excess causing my voicemail box to fill. When they call they are asking for someone who is not associated with the number ************** and have been notified on several occassions that they have the wrong number. They continue to ask for "*****."

    Business Response

Liberty First Lending (Liberty) has received BBB Complaint ********* from Mr.
********, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond to his concerns.

Our records show that we first received a lead on 11/27/24 associated with the
number ************, and subsequent attempts to contact the customer were
unsuccessful. On January 6, 2025, we received a new lead for a ***** with the
same number, and a text was sent. After receiving a STOP message,
    communication ceased.

As a result of Mr. ********** complaint, both phone numbers (ending in 3627 and

We trust this resolves the matter. If Mr. ******** has any further questions, we are
