Today, April 23rd 2024, I visited the website in order to request my personal information not be retained, exchanged or displayed on this site. They are demanding a piece of non-expired identification from me, which is highly uncouth. That is illegal, in fact, given the nature of their consumer infraction having my information for exchange without permission, and disallowing me from requesting removal by this demand is illegal.Business Response

I am trying to remove my personal data from Peoplewhiz.com, but I am unable to do so without uploading, faxing, or mailing a copy of my ID. I am not trying to provide them with more data, I want it removed. On a lot of these answers they seem to point out "you do not need to provide an ID," but in going through the process, there is absolutely no way to bypass this. You shouldn't have to submit a complaint with the BBB in order for them to delete your data without providing an ID. They shouldn't require it to begin with. Yes some people have the same names, but they shouldn't be mining anyones data so that's an unreasonable justification.Business Response

Utilizing Norton 360, of which I had been notified that this company was sharing my personal information, I attempted to opt out and was prompted to send, upload, or email my active and current identification. Norton Lifelock ID Navigator informed me that my personal data is for sale on PeopleWhiz. On the PeopleWhiz website, I initiated a request that my data be removed, but in order to proceed, PeopleWhiz requires me to upload my ID/driver license, which I do not wish to provide.
