Please stay away from this place Vintage Car Collector (AKA Vintage Motors) and ***. I contact him about a 1969 Camaro RS on eBaymotors. Seller on eBay is "gr8dayca". I asked about the body, rust, and if it was mechanically sound. He responded car runs and drives, sent 3 photos of paint bubbling and no rust from what he can see. I made an offer on eBaymotors for $24k. *** accepted. I tried to make payment with "Pay Now" option on eBay. It didn't work. I told *** and he said just make a wire for $24k. So the next day I wired $24k from my Bank of America to his Bank of America. He received it. I told him please mark it paid on eBay. He never did. *** overnighted Bill of Sale and title to me. I set up the car to be picked up by trucking company to transport the car to me. The day of pick up, I get a call from his dispatcher that the car is inop. The car was at a Copart (auction house). The employees said the car is inoperable condition. The truck driver picking up the car tried to jump it with no success. Car wouldn't even try to turn over or start. I called *** and asked him to Paypal me $200 because the shipping company will charge me $150 for it being not inop (I was charged my card on July 30th) and help with cost of battery since he assured me it was the battery. The day the car was to be delivered after asking him about the $200 he did send it. When I received the car and after it got winched/pushed off the trailer, we tried to jump it. No good. Battery was good. Both of us tried to start it with the sequence *** from Vintage Motors provided me written on a paper when he overnighted the title. The car was dirty from sitting outside at the auction house. So I washed it. There was bubbling on every single body panel on the car. With many troubleshooting attempts. Even replaced the neutral safety switch and tested the battery. Still the car doesn't make a sound of an attempt of motor trying to turn over. I left a negative feedback. He wanted me to remove it. I asked him if he would make it right. His solution was to get mechanic to look at it. I asked would he pay for it to be towed and for a mechanic to look it over. He said "have it checked and we'll go from there". Today July 31st, since he never marked the listed as "paid", eBay canceled it. My feedback was removed. He has another 1969 red with vinyl top listed on eBaymotors by seller name of gr8dayca. He's deceiving and dishonest and not forthcoming. Stay away at all cost. I've got a sitting on my driveway that I paid $24k plus $800 shipping (minus $200 he refunded me) that doesn't start or run, has bubbling paint all over the car and significant rust on frame from what I can I see without putting it on a lift.Review from Taffi T.

Bought a 1973 Opel GT from ***. Car was advertised as all original and in excellent condition inside and out on Ebay. I asked for more pictures and/or videos of it running but was told it was in a lot and he could not provide. He assured me the car was excellent. Car arrived on the carrier from Florida to Nevada. The truck driver's English was very broken so he called his wife to have her translate a message for me. He said "Do not drive this car. It is unsafe. Bring it to a shop immediately." He would not even let me drive it down the road to my garage. He insisted on doing it himself because of safety issues. I noticed within an hour it was leaking oil/liquid from the engine, front suspension, rear suspension, and gas was leaking on my floor. I tried to start it the next day to no avail. I had it towed the restoration shop that worked on my MG so they could take a look. The repair bill is sitting at $8,000. The 'all original' paint job is not original. As a matter of fact they just painted over the original so there is rust and bubbles everywhere. A new paint job will be $6,000 because of all the areas that need to be cut out and replaced due to rust. ***'s response was "Well it is a classic car and I never said it was perfect". I asked him to take it back. No answer. Finally I had to make a decision to fix it as I could not have it leaking gas and oil all over my garage or the mechanic's floor I had a lawyer draw up paperwork and asked for $10,000 to help cover the repairs. Tommy called and offered me $1,500. He then wanted to take it back. I explained I had given him the option months ago and he never responded. I had to make the choice to fix it. When I said no he started yelling a me telling me how stupid I was to have bought the car from him. We are going to court next month.Review from Greg V

I was going to inspect it but developed heart problems (See my early posts on the trip) and ended up in the ER at Redmond, OR. I posted a negative feedback on EBay and it "magically disappeared". Wonder how many more negatives have "disappeared"? To date, I have spent over $3k to make this street legal regarding safety issues!
