    SureFire's "Lifetime Hassle-Free Warranty" has taken almost a year sending two lights back where one light was DAMAGED WORSE than as it was sent in stating "No problem found". Initially the Fury Intellibeam stopped working, it was never dropped, damaged or anything. The first time I sent the Intellibeam it was replaced with a new one that only registered half the advertised output on their website (which I documented today with date/time stamp). Support stated "the oil on the leaves of the trees TWO ********** with no interference standing on a hill prevented the light from reaching full output". My wife is a professor in physics with focus in optics who called this a blatant lie. Calling support back the rep laughed saying he never heard that one yet and should use it sometime. He agreed the light was not functioning properly so sent it in again. Almost two months later it arrived with the same exact issue (measuring with a light meter) stating they replaced the front bezel. Another time it was returned stating no problem found. Calling again the rep stated support has had issues with parts so I should keep sending the light back so it gets attention, and also told me I should send my Aviator (yellow version) after mentioning it was flickering with new batteries. So reluctantly, I sent both in. Almost another 2 months later I called and was very friendly & polite asking for status and "*****" will be looking at them and is "very good. I received no notification, got both lights back stating "PROBLEM NOT FOUND. TESTED OVER 1 HR WITH FULLY CHARGE BATTERY LIGHT WORK FINE". They failed to read to the notes the Intellibeam produced HALF the output measured with a light meter, and the Aviator was returned scratched and DAMAGED which was NOT how I sent it in!!! The Aviator light press feature DOES NOT WORK. This is what spending almost $1,000 dollars looks like for warranty and they cant even write a proper sentence that addresses BOTH LIGHTS??

    Purchased a XC1A weapon light 5/20/23 from a local retailer for $225.00 + $18.28 tax. Product was brand new and broke after 8 shots attached to a 9mm. The retailer suggested that I return to ** for repair as they had no more in stock. I had wanted to keep the light so I returned it to Surefire with them having received the light on 6/6/23. They did say 4-6 weeks for repair. Acceptable. After 8 weeks I inquired since they didnt offer an update. I was told that the light was slated for replacement but new one was back ordered until end of August and then changed, after I had to inquire again, to September but no date given. I had already ordered a custom holster to fit the weapon with XC1A so I was kinda in it to win it by this point. However, in frustration, I told them to keep the product if this was how they did business. I had to travel back to the retailer and get a receipt because I discarded original because, well it was a Surefire product so what could go wrong? Im sure many of their products are acceptable and this unit just happened to be flawed. When I submitted the invoice for $243.28, I was refunded only $225.00, a difference of $18.28. I was told that the tax was paid to my state so it wasnt their responsibility. I explained that I only paid tax because I bought their product, a product that didnt work. They didnt much care and the $225 was all they would pay. The check was issued on 9/5/23, ***************************************************** I owned the light for 10 whole days, returned it after 8 shots, waited 91 days where it was I that had to contact them for updates and have a holster that is useless because it is specific to the ** light and I am out $18.28 for my troubles. To be fair, they did offer a t-shirt or batteries in lieu of the $18 which I declined. I wanted a light, not swag. My position remains that the full amount, including tax should have been returned. ** accepted the return for repair/replacement. Not the retailer. Buyer beware!

    We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with the XC1-A product. As noted, due to the light being purchased from a third party the sales tax was paid to the third party not directly to SureFire.

    SureFire does stand behind their product. SureFires warranty policy is SureFire warrants that if youour customerpurchase one of our products,and we determine that it is defective in material and/or workmanship during your lifetime, we will repair or replace itno hassle!.

    SureFire actually went a step further and refunded you the amount of the light that was purchased from a third party.

    Trying to make things right since we were unable to repay you the sales tax as it was collected by the third party, SureFire offered batteries or apparel as a means to make up the difference.  

    We certainly want to keep our customers happy and therefore SureFire issued a refund as requested in lieu of a replacement or repaired light.

    Please do not hesitate to reach out to SureFire if you decide to take the offer on the batteries or apparel to make up the difference of the sales tax paid to the third party.
