June 24, 2025 after my husband laid off notified company I revoke ACH and would resume payments when I could. They stopped the withdraw from my account until yesterday when they did what they call a remote check and deducted ******. I contacted the company and they said the *** revocation does not apply to remote checks, only my debit card on file. In addition, to demanding my money back I then emailed them "YOU MAY NOT WITHDRAW ANY AMOUNT IN ANY MANNER, ACH, electronic check, remote check, and so forth." They replied your ACH revocation will pause your payments. To make matters worse, on their website in my account, it says inactive and no pending payments to be withdrawn so apparently they can try to take money out of my account at anytime without warning.

Unlawfully High APRs: I was charged approximately 600% APR on my loan from Credit Cube. This far exceeds legal limits in many states and resembles predatory lending. I had an issue with my bank account resulting with a missed payment 1 missed payment it went to collections and over 200 dollars in fees for a bit over a week

I am filing this complaint against Credit Cube for engaging in predatory lending practices. I took out a loan with them and was shocked by the excessive and unfair interest rate charged. The annual percentage rate (APR) is extremely highover [insert exact APR if you have it]which results in me paying back several times the amount I originally borrowed. This type of loan structure is designed to trap consumers in cycles of debt, making it nearly impossible to repay without severe financial hardship. I was not clearly informed of the true cost of the loan in a transparent and reasonable manner. I believe these practices are abusive, deceptive, and predatory, and I am requesting that Credit Cube be held accountable. I am seeking: Desired outcome is to release me if the debt I have already paid off at least twice with the interest

    Business Response

    Date: 09/03/2025

    Hello,

We would like to address the new statements made by the client regarding their loan with Credit Cube.

On July 29, 2025, ****** ******* was approved and funded for a $200.00 loan #*******, which was successfully deposited into his bank account ending in ***5804. To date, he has not made any payments toward this loan, despite having agreed to an 8-payment schedule outlined in his signed loan agreement.

Contrary to the recent statement that the debt has already been paid off at least twice, our records confirm that no payments have been received. Therefore, the claim of having repaid multiple times is inaccurate.

We wish to emphasize that all loan terms, including the APR, payment schedule, and associated costs, were clearly disclosed in the loan documentation, which the client acknowledged via mandatory electronic signature prior to receiving the funds. As disclosed in client's loan agreement and on our website, Credit Cube is wholly-owned and operated by the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians, a federally-recognized Tribe, and is licensed and subject to the laws of the Tribe. For their convenience, we provided all the loan related documentation.

Despite the account being past due and subject to fees, CC has demonstrated good faith by extending a settlement option. As a courtesy, we offered to waive all additional interest and fees and close the account upon receipt of $271.44, if paid by September 15, 2025.

This offer remains available, and we encourage the client to confirm if he wishes to accept this resolution. Upon receipt of the agreed settlement amount, we will close his account in full and report it as settled.

We believe this is a fair resolution, especially considering the borrower has not yet repaid the original loan principal.

    Sincerely,

    Credit Cube

I borrowed $450 when I was struggling and didnt know what else to do. I have paid back over $350. But theyre saying I still owe over $4000. I contacted them saying Id pay back what I owed $95.44 and I would even pay back $150 over time since I cant do a single payment. But this is ridiculous and so predatory. They responded that the best they could do is $395.94 as a single payment. Thats $300 more than I borrowed and if I cant pay $150 at once how do they expect me to pay almost $400 at once? Do not ever fall into their trap. No matter how desperate you are. At this point they cant eat it all and I wont pay anything else back.

I applied for and was approved for a $300 loan. I have paid Credit Cube a total of $453.76. I am in a tight financial bind and cannot pay anything additional. I would like for my loan to be considered paid in full and the account closed. Also this type of loan is usury in my state and is not aloud. I will be in contact with my state attorney.

I have used credit cube beginning 11/2024 borrowed 200 not too long after borrowed 300 for a total of 500 before fees. I was expected to pay 125 every 2 weeks and currently still owe ******. I was not able to apply for a new loan in spite of being silver status and qualifying for up to 1000 when I inquired about it I was told I need to pay half of the loan off first. Im sorry but making even monthly payments at 125 means you have gotten what was borrowed. I do believe these are predatory lending terms and they are acting like tribal loans but kind of similar to an advance. They do not follow state guidelines Be aware there are some cheaper options out there.

I took out a loan from this company and their interest rate is about 600%. I paid a little bit of it but I stopped paying because this loan is illegal in my state of ********. Under Colorado usury law, its illegal for a company to receive money where the charge exceeds an annual percentage rate of 45%. My states attorney general told me to not to pay them. I also filed a complaint with the *** as well. I want them to closed my account and stop contacting me I am protected by the Fair Debt Collections practices act.

I am rejecting this response because they are trying to be slick and force me to say I accept this in the BBB PRIOR to resolving the issue as part of my resolution .

They want me to sign something that clearly shows I will still be responsible for funds outside of the settlement in order to process a payment with my debit card. I told them I will refuse to sign it. Its clear as day in the writing.

So they told me I could log in and schedule a payment in which it will not allow me to do either. I contacted them about that and have gotten no response and the payment is due tomorrow.

had I closed this complaint as satisfactory as they wanted me to do, itd be closed and currently unresolved.

When I tell you this company is SHADY believe it. Read EVERYTHING they send before signing .

    Sincerely,

    Business Response

    Date: 06/24/2025

    Dear Better Business Bureau,

We appreciate the opportunity to address the customer's concerns and clarify the situation. Our team has remained in contact and has been actively working to reach a fair resolution. We respectfully disagree with the characterization that we are attempting to be slick or deceptive in any way.
As part of our resolution offer, we extended a significantly reduced settlement amount to assist the customer in resolving the account. However, because the customer previously revoked ACH authorization, we are legally and operationally unable to process any paymentswhether via ACH or debit cardwithout new written consent. For that reason, a new agreement must be signed to document the settlement terms and to authorize us to proceed with processing any payments.

To move forward, we require a finalization of the following steps:

    1. Confirmation on the BBB portal that the customer agrees to the proposed resolution.
    2. A signed settlement agreement authorizing the payment method selected.

Without these steps, we cannot proceed, as doing so would go against our internal procedures and compliance obligations. The customer is also correct that the online portal will not allow further actions until a valid agreement is in place.
Our goal remains to resolve this matter amicably and in the best interest of both parties. We are still willing to honor the original settlement offer, provided the necessary documentation and confirmations are received. We urge the customer to review the agreement thoroughly, and we are happy to address any specific concerns about its content or implications.
We look forward to resolving this promptly once the required steps are completed.

    Sincerely,

    Credit Cube
