    Took my car into this auto repair site. After a week of very little contact to update except when I called, they came back and said that my 2014 ******* veloster needed a completely new engine. The cost would be ****** dollars. They offered credit if I qualified. I did not trust them so I had my car towed to the ******* dealership. I was charged $537.61 by West Automotive Group for their diagnosis. After ******* of Escondido examined my car, they diagnosed it needing a replacement of ignition coil and oil pan gasket and fuel induction service. The total cost of what is needed is *******. So:West automotive group - $****** engine needs replacement ******* of Escondido - $1405 engine is is GOOD CONDITION and passes their inspection West Automotive Group held my car for a week. During that week, the ONLY time I spoke with them is when I called. Day after day they would say we dont know if it was looked at , we looked at it but we dont know whats wrong with it. And then finally it needs the entire engine replaced for $12000I do not believe that West Automotive Group should keep the $537.61 for their completely false diagnosis. I was quoted $154 for the inspection. I would be willing to pay that ONLY. Please help with this matter.

    (This additional review comes after the owner of this business wrote me an insulting reply on the BBB platform, lying about me and other former customers who have run from him after our experiences. There are over 103 Bad Reviews on **** for all four of his locations combined!!)My reply to his outrageous disrespectful lies about my experience with his dishonesty: IS IT TIME FOR THE OWNER OF THIS BUSINESS TO BE RERATED BY THE BBB? It appears that the owner of this business stopped SPINNING HIS "BIG LIE" with just enough time to LIE MORE ABOUT ME AND THE MANY, MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE REVIEWED THEIR HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES AT HIS LOCATIONS. FACT: West Escondido Automotive & Transmission has "58" BAD REVIEWS CURRENTLY ON ****!West Kearny Mesa Automotive & Transmission has "9" BAD REVIEWS CURRENTLY ON ****!West Mira Mesa Automotive & Transmission  has "21" BAD REVIEWS CURRENTLY ON ****!West El Cajon Automotive & Trasnmission has "15" BAD REVIEWS CURRENTLY ON ****!DO THE MATH WHY HAVE OVER "100" PERSONS TAKEN THE TIME TO PUBLICALLY REPORTED THIS MAN AND HIS MECHANICS LEAVING THEM FEELING RIPPED OFF?How many more people would we read about were they to have taken time to write a review on that platform? Many! I'm certain. THE OWNER OF THESE FOUR LOCATIONS AND HIS MECHANICS DO "PUT MONEY BEFORE PEOPLE" REGULARLY. JUST READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS ABOUT HIM!It would be better for each of those persons to report him to the BBB, Why do I say this? He has had my reviews taken down several times on that platform. He has buried my reviews below old reviews that go back years ago just to make himself look good. Hey? How about just being truthful? How about standing by all of 'glossy' advertisments on T.V. and radio and simply give people honest work for our honest dollars? Why not be truthful?The fact is: The owner of this business always puts it on the customer by saying that he is "sorry for the way that you feel". "Feel?"!Yes, we have felt his selfish misadmissions of what actually happened to us verses what he wants to spin by feeling the loss of money in our wallets. He insults our intellegence and our dignity by blaming people who go public about his secret way of taking advantage of over one hundred people who have vowed never to return to his shops.He thinks we don't know what he is up to. Everytime someone complains on that platform, he will write a unaccountable response, putting it on the customers, and then wishing them a great day. As far as he is concerned, keeping up with that platform's rules of making a reply to all of his multiple complaints will not allow his rating to go even lower on that platform. That's why he writes back! If you read his reply, how many 'do-overs', or 'we'll correct our mistakes at no charge" will you find? ZERO!!But think about this: Does he care more about his rating than customer satisfaction? YES HE DOES!Doese he care more about saving face for he and his very poorly acting employees? YES HE DOES!Finally, after reading the response here that he posted on 7-26-21, he is up to his usual self-serving, face-saving rudeness in calling me names, lying about me wanting free things from him and pounding my feet and threatening. None of that is me. I have proof in emails between myself and the owner directly. He is lying about me. But I'm not alone. There are 103 person who he has treated the same....... way after he has our money! Money ahead of people!What he doesn't want you to know at the BBB and for those who are eager to hear the TRUTH ABOUT HIS MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS BY THE PUBLIC IN ALL FOUR OF HIS LOCATIONS is this: All of us who have complained out of neccesity have PROOF IN EMAILS, TELEPHONE RECORDS AND REAL DATES where his workers have mishandled out trust and our money. He doesn't want you to know that We Can Prove what we are saying beyond all of the 'pretty, glowing words' he wants you to believe about he and his mechanics. Why would over one hundred people lie about him? We speak truth!! Afterall, he just takes the money that he puts over our satisfaction and keeps telling the public how great his operation is!I believe that he does what many people do: Keep telling the lie and people will believe him. Keep putting the blame on the customer and people will believe him. Keep telling us he's sorry that we "feel" disatisfied while telling us to have a good day and some out there will think "Gosh, he's really nice at saying: Thanks for giving us your money, get over your 'feelings' of dissatisfaction and move on". That's what we're saying!This is WHO HE IS. This is HOW HE VIEWS ME AFTER TAKING MY MONEY. This is HOW HE VIEWS YOU IF YOU TAKE TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLAIN!I never asked for free service. I told him to have his mechanics do whatever they had to do without charging me again. Why? They replaced my radiator and it was losing fluid.....hundreds of dollars later!HE NEVER ADMITS THIER MISTAKES, CARELESSNESS AND NEVER TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR GOUGING OUR WALLETS WHILE LEAVING OVER ONE HUNDRED PEOPLE FEELING A LOSS OF MONEY AND DIGNITY. Only a guilty man who has over one hundred complaints together against all four of his locations from people who don't even know one another would bully and blame us by calling us "Consumer Terrorist". Terrorist?! By virtue of his intimidating words, lies about our experiences and loss of money at his locations and keeping the focus on 'bright shiny, moving words' could be viewed as an emotional terrorist. That is exactly how this man acts. Just read the reviews!Yes. Someone who blames all of us for telling the truth and who bullies us with his mis-spelled words, poor gramatics, and outright willful ignorance of respecting his customers like those of us who have reported him is proving where his focus is: Your money....my money...and the next person's money. They Do Put Money Over People, thus: He is telling a big lie on each of his business pages on **** when he says: "We never put money ahead of people". That is a lie! Just read all of the 103 Bad Reviews online. I hope the BBB will go to that platform which is publiic on **** and see for themselves just what the public outcry is about: West Escondido Automotive & transmission West El Cajon Automotive & Transmission,West Kearny Mesa Automotive & Transmission West  Mira Mesa Automotive & Transmission...He owns and runs all of them the same! That is why all of these perfect strangers to one another who have not corrordinated our reviews, (103 BAD REVIEWS) have had to take time like this to expose this man for mistreating our trust, our time, our money and our dignity. You will see pictures of the car that I took to West Escondido Automotive & Transmission in the picture section on **** where there are 33 pictures. Please read te caption next to my green ***** *****. I actually warn the public to get a second opinion before doing business with him.He may have managed to take down the several complaints that I posted with proof of emails, but my pictures remain telling the truth!I sold that car and the rotten memories of how the owner directly disrespected me along with his rotten words which lie here at the BBB. I will not never reccomend his business. I will continue to tell the public the avoid being mistreated by he and his mechanics as I have been. I'm still paying the bill for that!I don't wish the best for this man and his workers. That would be like me saying: "Hey keep on ripping us off, lying about not putting money before us, mistreating the dignity and respect of people who trust you, and think only about making profits at our expense". I wont do that!The BBB is a trusted organization worldwide. This man isn't even accredited by the BBB. HIS RATING IS JUST OVER "2"!!! Now we all know why!
