  Unfortunately, we have had a terrible experience with Cali Bamboo. Our contractor purchased their Natural Fossilized Wide T&G product and it would not lay flat due to the way the underside was manufactured. We were told by a product rep ***** was his name) that this could be easily floated and could be done ourselves of We wanted. This was obviously not the case for this product. The crew tried to nail down the flooring as an alternative (following the guidelines laid out by ****), but the material is so hard that the nails bent or splintered the product.We felt that we were lied to by several representatives at the company and requested a refund. They were happy to process that... with a 25% restocking fee, shipping charges and won't take back any opened boxes. After doing some more digging, there have been several reports of similar issues as well as customers that laid the floor only to have serious issues about 6 months after the install.Overall, we are happy that we did not use this product and went with something else. We will never do business with this company again and are escalating this as much as we can (BBB complaint first followed by possible further action). Avoid Cali Bamboo and save yourself the headache and money.

  My experience with Cali Bamboo could not have been more awful. My client wanted Calis Natural Fossilized Wide T&G Bamboo Flooring, so that is what we purchased. Upon picking up said product, our company was recommended how to install this specific flooring. At the time of purchase, we were clear with the sales representative that we wanted to purchase flooring that could be floated. So, assuming that the sales representative knew our desires, we figured there would be so problem installing the flooring. While installing the flooring and following the application of the glue to the seam, the dimensions and stiffness of the material lead resulted in air pockets when downward pressure was applied. Such air pockets would result in warping and early wear of the material. We tried multiple methods on fixing this issue before we decided it was time to get in touch with someone at Cali Bamboo. While trying to get in touch with someone at Cali's, we had been transferred multiple times to different departments. We did not hear from anyone for a week and only received a response following a request to escalate to the sales manager in an attempt to resolve these issues. The two selling points of this product are the DURABILITY and the LONGEVITY. Both of which are negated by the engineering issues mentioned. Advertising this product and selling it as suitable for floated installation was extremely inaccurate and deceptive. This was further compounded by the stated intent to restock, which clearly implies resale of a product identified as defective. We have submitted a request to return the flooring and were told we would be charged a restocking fee, which is stated on their website. We have spoken with several departments about these defects and do not feel as if they care about the fact that they sold us product that is not what they advertised. Not to mention that they want to restock product that is defective.

  **** was fantastic in getting us the flooring we wanted!! He was professional and very friendly. The flooring itself is top notch and better then expected! Highly recommend it!

  I knew I wanted Cali floors the first time I spoke to **** on the phone. **************** wins me every time and **** went beyond what I expected to help us make a decision on the flooring we wanted. The process was helpful and easy and THEN I got my floors. The quality is so beautiful and they are holding up to my crazy family! Thank you Cali Floors!
