On 7/5 @ approximately 4am there was autorenewal processed in the amount of $251.88 via PayPal.I contacted Nomadik at 10:20am as soon as I checked my email to request that it be cancelled immediately as it was still pending on my account at that time. I stated that there was NO previous notification of the renewal and that the initial subscription was done 6 months prior. Any other subscription sends an reminder prior to processing a renewal especially at that high dollar amount. At 11:10; they replied stating that they had gone in and cancelled the subscription. On 7/7 the charge cleared my account and caused it to go into the negative in which I reached out again to Nomadik as they stated they had canceled the subscription to which they replied it was canceled for the future and they can not issue a refund. Well now my account is over drawn and I am incurring overdraft fees. I also filed a dispute with PayPal and my bank but they will not be in resolution until at least 7/15. I again stated that there was no notification prior to the charge and this is fraudulent or at least miss leading business practices and I would like a full refund of my money and my account with them closed. On 7/9 the Nomadik offered to refund half of my money which is still not resolution as I want the complete amount and to never do business with them again. And if there is a way they can send an quick email to their remaining customers in the future I would love for that to be put in place so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I am already stuck paying the overdraft fees that have hit my account at this time.On 7/11 due to the open disputes apparently no one is able to do anything but yet my account still sits in the negative and thankfully my bank has stepped up enough to at least stop anything else from hitting it and charging me anymore overdraft fees. Any assistance you can provide would be helpful.Business Response

After signing up to receive a quarterly subscription box of outdoors related products on Nov 28, 2022, I was initially charged a discounted amount of $105 on Nov 28 for the Winter (Q4) box and then charged again on Dec 1 the full amount of $149.99 for the same box. I reached out via email (the only method provided for contacting the company) on Dec 1 to report the excess charge and was told they would apply that charge to the Spring (Q1) quarterly box in Mar 2023. Then a new charge appeared on Mar 3, 2023 in the amount of $158.98 for the Q1 box, which I promptly emailed about and was told they would refund and ensure the credit was applied from my Dec 1 excess payment. The refund was posted for the March payment and the Q1 box should have shipped Mar 18, however I received a cancellation notice for that box and no indication it's been shipped, nor have I received it. I've emailed several times requesting a refund for the Dec 1 payment since the products never shipped, the last email being sent Mar 20th, all with no replies from their **************************** After looking online for a bit, I've found a forum of people who have noted the same issues with the company and have been similarly 'ghosted' without refunds or the products promised. As such, I am filing this complaint with the BBB and am working with my ******************* to dispute the Dec 1 charge.Initial Complaint

I tried to cancel and this is their response "Thank you for writing us back. We understand where you are coming from however prior to placing your order, you have accepted the agreement as stated in our Terms and conditions that if you start a subscription, you hereby authorize The Nomadik to bill your payment instrument in advance on a periodic basis in accordance with the terms of the applicable subscription plan until you terminate your account, and you further agree to pay any charges so incurred. You understand and accept that, unless otherwise expressly stated, a subscription operates on an auto-renewal basis such that your credit card or other payment instruments will be charged for the same duration as your most recent subscription package purchase after the conclusion of your subscription package. All payments made are non-refundable."Initial Complaint

In November 2021, I purchased a subscription box as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I paid for 12 months at once because there was a discounted rate involved for a charge of approx $275. It auto renewed without any warning on December 5, 2022 when I was billed $479.76. I was not aware until several weeks later when I received notice that another monthly box had shipped. I contacted the company by email to cancel the monthly subscription. They responded that certainly they would cancel, but that I would receive 11 more shipments. I've written again on two occasions requesting that they cease sending boxes and refund the remaining balance of my almost $500 payment, but those emails have gone unanswered. Their website claims, "Money back guarantee" and Cancel Anytime". Clearly these claims are not being honored. I have attached a screenshot from their website: thenomadik.comInitial Complaint

On January 6th I was charged $44.98 by the Nomadik for order N-****** despite having opted to not receive an order. I reached out to their email and received a generic response with information I had already provided and after responding to that I did not receive another response for 10 days after sending two additional emails requesting an update. They are denying that I declined that months order and said I will receive the order but will not be charged further. I do not want this order, which I have specified to them, and the order remains unfulfilled to this moment and so a refund should not be an issue; however, they are making it one.Initial Complaint

We sent an email on Dec 2 to cancel our subscription because we could not get in our account. It was confirmed on Dec 3 and then was renewed and and charged on Dec 4. I have sent multiple emails and chats in regards to this and getting no information or refund back. Once we were able to get into the account again, we could see they did not cancel the subscription as stated in the email. I just want my money back. $488 is a lot.Initial Complaint

Purchased a 6-month subscription box as a gift from The Nomadik in June 2021. On December 15, I was charged with no warning for an additional 6 months at a much higher price than previous (first 6 months was $150, I was then charged without warning of an increase for $257.88). I emailed the company the same day, asking them to not renew the subscription, and they stated it was my responsibility to cancel in advance of the renewal (fine) and that, despite the fact that the first month subscription box wouldn't be sent out until 12/27, it was too late to cancel and get a refund. They did help me cancel my subscription and assured me as much in an email correspondance that the subscription period would end in May 2022 (that email is attached; note that they address to "***," whom the gift was for, but the email is sent to my email address).I was then charged an additional $257.88 on June 8 2022. Unfortunately, as I'd just had surgery, I did not notice that charge. However, I was just charged another $257.88 on December 5 2022. I reached out to Nomadik multiple times via email and social media messages, and they will not respond. The December 2022 charge is currently in dispute with PayPal and I anticipate a positive resolution; however, the June 2022 charge is just outside the PayPal dispute window. I would like, at minimum, for the June 2022 charge of $257.88 to be refunded (proof of that purchase via paypal is also attached).Initial Complaint

*********** was not made clear on original purchase. I purchased a 12 month term of monthly subscription boxes, paid in advance - I did not purchase an ongoing subscription forever. No notification was given when renewal was charged, and the price increased by 66% without notification.
