1 starI have contacted mint mobile multiple times regarding their atrocious coverage and have received nothing in return. Despite NUMEROUS calls, Mint is absolutely unreliable. I have contacted them over and over regarding the fact that my phone isn't recieving calls or messages and that my own family, after 2 weeks of trying to get in touch with me, **CALLED IN A WELLNESS CHECK** (When the police come over to make sure **YOURE ALIVE**) and they STILL have not resolved this issue. I have missed calls from family, from MY DOCTOR, and from MULTIPLE HOSPITALS as I am a disabled citizen looking for care and **AM HEAVILY RELIANT ON CALLBACKS**. This is NOT acceptable behaviour and I strongly urge the BBB to investigate this scam of a company. Look at these reviews for god sake! Id like to quote *********, who is having SIMILAR ISSUES TO ME"My father needs a working service because he is also a patient at a hospital. They denied my refund for remainder of months. At this point it is more of a hassle and mental stress itself rather than just money. Who will be responsible if my dad cant make calls in emergencies? "--THIS IS A SCAM! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! NO ONE SHOULD HAVE THIS ISSUE!! 1 starThe best thing I can say about Mint is that it's cheap. While it's true that I am paying a fraction of what I paid for years on ******* and ***** the service is weak in most areas, non-existent in others (e.g. on rapid transit in ***, where I live, and in most of the places I travel to.) The most irritating thing about Mint, however, is their false advertising. The cutesy tone would be bad enough, but the offer of money for referrals (when I signed up it was $15 for both the existing and the new customer; now. for **** and ******* customers, they are offering $100 and/or free months) is totally false. It seems they have no intention of actually making good on these promises. My partner was reasonably satisfied with his service after month and referred me. I used the *** card they sent him to share with a new customer and actually got a representative to walk me through all the steps so we'd both get the credits promised on our renewals. We got nothing. After the first set of calls to customer service with none of the promised email confirmations and set of false "reference numbers" that were obviously made up and useless, it ceased to be about the measly $30 we were promised. It was just interesting to see how far we'd have to go to get $15 out of this company for a pre-paid one-year plan. After one of the most dissembling customer service calls ever (my fourth attempt!) I actually got $15, which put a dent in the questionable fees attached to my renewal. I will not be surprised to see a number of people here complaining they did not receive the $100 for switching or encouraging a friend to switch 3 months from now, nor will I be surprised to see a response from Mint here that goes something like "Hello,So sorry to hear that. We'll have one of our agents reach out to assist you.Thank you.Mint Mobile" But Hey, Mint Mobile, as one of your reluctantly active customers, I encourage you to surprise me!Mint Mobile

2 starsMint Mobile has a serious customer service problem. I consider myself a reasonable man, but my 2 customer service experiences have been lame... all sing-***** repetitive niceness from your off-shore representatives (which would be fine if they resolved issues properly), no clean resolution of the issues or straight answers, lots of wasting my time. And they haven't exactly been difficult issues. To show you I'm fair, I will say that my actual phone service has been fine, and the person who helped me on initial signup was nothing short of excellent.All I want to do is provide who ever is the **************** Executive at the company with a detailed explanation of what went wrong this last time. I see no reason to do so here. Ideally by phone, email would be acceptable, and also ideally you would compensate me for my time by providing the same free 3 months you are currently giving to new customers. Getting contact information for this individual has proved impossible, as has information to contact the home office. My hope is that providing this will help you elevate your Customer Support, because the rest of the service has been fine. Over time, the lack of acceptable Customer Support will prove to be what makes me leave your service, and unfortunately, although I had planned to, I cannot in good conscience recommend you service to friends and family currently. Does the company care to provide this information or not?? Maybe **** would like to know what's going on once a person requires any assistance!Mint Mobile

1 starMy first 3 months with Mint were fine, no real issues... I was able to use my navigation apps when needed, make calls, check emails etc.Then came my 2nd top up, firstly when trying to query an email offer I received... not a single support person helped to answer my query of the difference between my first plan vs the one recently received via email.On top of that when trying to login via the app and the website, I received an error message each time which only happened towards the end of the first 3 months.I was told I had to use my data to access the mint mobile app and if I wanted to login to the website I would need to create a hot spot from my phone and connect to that via my laptop.Which would obviously cause me to use a portion of my data and hotspot data limit simply logging in to the Mint website to check data, top up etc.Needless to say this company is appalling... and I hope people continue to share just how bad they are!Mint Mobile

1 starI am not sure what ************************* is even doing with ****. It should be named s**t. I got a three month package for my father and switched to ****. THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. The phone is now one week out of service. It says no service and sometimes SOS. Contacted agent a dozen times via phone and text. They made me reboot and reset network. They also gave me one page worth ld code to CHANGE THE *** ON MY OWN!! Which never worked because apparently they dont have proper and correct information for iphone. The agent was confused himself and had zero knowledge. I have tried every thing to get this service running. My father needs a working service because he is also a patient at a hospital. They denied my refund for remainder of months. At this point it is more of a hassle and mental stress itself rather than just money. Who will be responsible if my dad cant make calls in emergencies? I will so sue **** for this and will do anything in my power to show what a scam **** it wo other people.Mint Mobile

1 starThis is the only mobile phone service I ever had that will send calls straight to the Mint Mobile voicemail server without it moving to your iPhone with a notification with the ability to retrieve then listen.Mint Mobile **************** advised me to periodically, press and hold 1 for three seconds to see if they have any voicemails saved in their system.Time and time again Ive found 7-9 messages stored, but not in my phone-for retrieval later when stale.Beyond the reception quality-this will be the main reason I will switch-as soon as the next 3 month period is up.They have no answer for it.Mint Mobile

1 star**************** has all the accolades for helping you, and promises made to send you an email or phone call about a refund. Nothing has transpired from said promises. I have been trying to receive a refund for a prepaid plan since November 7, 2022. I have provided all requested documentation including order number, purchase date, initial date of requested refund, and source of payment. Each time during the four online chats I have had, the refund request has been elevated to their accounting department. I'm 74 years of age, always pay my bills, and trusted this company to provide true customer service. I'm only requesting my prepaid amount of $83.88 to be refunded to my bank. Promises and CS chats are so sweet, it's to the point of ad nauseum. If I had the address of the **** I would send a certified letter to him for such POOR service.Mint Mobile

1 starMInt Mobile promised the following:- phone access was promised in one of European countries. I paid fee but phone didn't have any reception upon arrival there. Zero.- hotspot was promised. Unfortunately, hot spot is not working regardless from location in **, Tech support troubleshooting didn't help.- There are dead spots in ** where Mint has no any data access. Zilch.- My cell phones are unlocked and I have no annual contract obligations. However, Mint just promising to unlock cell phone, but except new promises they keeping me forcefully on theirs network,- Mint tech support just mocking client by telling about only Apple can unlock device, or that I am bounded to 1 year contract (I am not), and so on. Disgusting behavior.All I need, to leave Mint Mobile and Never ever come back!Mint Mobile

1 starI have purchased a plan after having ascertained that they could "port-in" my phone number from the previous operator (line2.com), which I was positive about as they list line2.com among the ones they are capable of performing "port-in" from. But the process would never work despite all the information provided to them so far was 100% correct and, after contacting the previous operator I could PROVE to MINT staff that the problem was caused by malfunction at MINT's end and - noticeably - this is not in question as MINT itself ended up admitting I was right (evidences were too big to be hidden or misrepresented). Still, nobody would take care of addressing the problem nor my need. I spent countless hours over the phone with people who's only goal was to bounce the ball back to me, never to really help. And all of this because I called repeatedly, I never heard ONCE something like "ok, we have all the info, we are on it, we'll let you know". Nothing. So I ended up asking for full refund. Stay away.Mint Mobile

Hello,So sorry to hear that you were having issues porting in. We require only 3 pieces of information from the other carrier to transfer the number (account#, PIN, and billing address). If all are matching with your current service provider, it should transfer without any issues. Some transfer *** take longer than normal and this usually happens with landlines and VoIP numbers. Thanks for proving EXACTLY, with this answer, the point I am making. You did not even read the review accurately. If you had, you'd known by now that I was PERFECTLY aware of what pieces of information were needed, and also you'd be aware that they were specified correctly to you. The problem was exactly in the fact that, despite I provided 100% correct information, issues AT YOUR END prevented the port-in from being performed successfully. I proved all this to a customer representative, who had no other choice than agreeing with this, given the evidences. And all of this was clearly written in the review in the first place. But, instead of reading carefully what I wrote and double-check internally, you just came out with the general instructions, which has nothing to do with the problem at hand.Review fromMarwan A

1 starRegrettably, I switched to mint mobile for a 6-month offer on 11/28/22 of service as it was a better deal. I was not able to use 1 day to call, there was no service. I Could not make any calls, on Dec 8, 2022, after 10 days I asked Mint Mobile support to help resolve my issue and I spoke with 5 agents and all of them were lying the same way. They refused to issue my refund due to the policy of more than 7 days, please never go with Mint, if so you will be scammed.Mint Mobile
