1 starThis all started on Nov. 23, 2022, when I went to Target store to get a Mint Mobile sim card. I called Mint Mobile to find out if my phone is compatible with their service. He told me my ** V50 thin line phone was compatible with them and their sim card. So, at Target I signed up with Mint Mobile service, buy 3 months and get 3 months free!!! Therefore, I paid $105.43 with my charge card. Within 5 days my phone could not make or receive calls!!! I went back to Target (since Mint Mobile don't have their own stores, how convenient!!!!) for help. Target was able to call Mint Mobile and talk to one of techs that stated that my phone was not compatible!!!! Why didn't Mint Mobile tell me that with initial phone call!!! So, I wanted to cancel the service and my get money back. I've been trying to get a credit back since the end of November with many calls and promises to get a refund. Not getting anywhere with them, and the last call Mint Mobile told me that I was over the time limit to get my money back!!!!! What a scam they have going!!!!! I definitely won't recommend Mint Mobile and learning a valuable ****** not doing enough research before buying a product.Review fromChris P.

1 starI would like to file a complaint againstthis company. They have the worst customer service I have ever had, Starting with saying I never bought the phone's and they could not find me in the system. When I was chattingonline with a rep I was told to use a code and it will get me back to the person. I used the code but it was past 8pm and it disconnectedme. I returnedmy phone's on 1/18/23. I was told it would take ***** hours to receivean email saying that they were received. I called again on Sunday 1/29/23 and was told by a mint rep that they still have not receivedthe package. When I went on ***** I can see that Mint got the pack on 1/20/23 at 10:13am. I will not pay this company.Mint Mobile

1 starMy old phone with VZW was broken and the service was too expensive. My brother recommended Mint as he has been with them for years. I ordered the service and a phone and was shipped a brick.I requested a replacement immediately and followed their directions, nothing happened. No return label, nothing. I escalated internally to the highest level to get a new phone expedited. They refuse to ship the phone without having the old one returned which takes 24hrs for them to just provide the label and then 3-5 business days for it to reach them, then 3-5 more for them to send a new one.If I had a choice, I would remove the service and get a new one.Mint Mobile

1 starThis is the worst mobile service I have ever had in my life. After having Mint mobile For a month, I started having trouble with my phone where I could not make or receive calls. I called customer service and the guy that answered said he is not familiar with ******* but he will try. I asked him to transfer me to someone that was. He said no, we will be fine. He had me to do some resetting on my phone, which did not fix it, and he said I'll send you a new SIM card. But my phone started working a few minutes later, but he had completely changed my phone number. I needed that phone number desperately as there is an emergency going on in my family. Well, after 26 phone calls and 5 days later, I finally got my number back but not after them lying to me, this is the biggest hassle I have ever dealt with in my life with any company. And no SIM card ever arrived. They kept telling me 24 to 48 hours, which ended that being 140 hours later where I finally got my phone number back after threatening to get my attorney involved. I'm switching away from this company ASAP. They should not be in business.Mint Mobile

1 starI had a Mint Mobile account on October 11, 2022 due to the low price. In November I started having problems with drop calls and some of my functions on my phone not working. The problem escalated on Thanksgiving Day, i couldn't send images with text I spent over nine hours the next couple days resetting they sent another sim card to no avail. They told me to buy another phone even thou my phone was working fine before. In January when my renewal date came up I called Mint January 12 2:58 if the company want to listen to the call, and got a customer service person she gave me a name that obviously was not hers. I asked her send me an E-mail confirming my renewal date she never did after giving her to E-mail address she then hung up. This is an example of the poor customer service at Mint. I went back to my old carrierMint Mobile

1 starI've been a customer with ****************** for three years and never experienced a problem until this year. I blame ************************* and whatever outsourced customer support service in ***** he is underpaying. My family has two phone lines with them, both on auto renewal. Two payments of $203.44 went through. My spouse recently had his credit card # changed, so he wanted to update it which he did through the app. They charged us an additional $203.62. I called to get this issue resolved. We were supposed to receive a refund on his phone number for the $203.62. Two days later, my phone service was turned off. I called customer service to find out that my spouse's phone did not receive a refund, but instead, they issued a refund on my phone number (which has not processed through my account) for $203.44, and it caused my service to expire. I needed my phone service back same day, due to my work. I'm order to get same day service, I had to renew my plan... Again. Instead of giving me my original charges, I had to pay $203.62 to renew service. Fine it's 18cents. My spouse called them again to get his charge of $203.62 refunded, and they said they could only issue a refund on the original charge of $203.44. Fine, it's 36cents. He has not received the refund yet in his account. So far they have charged us $814.12, and we have not received a single refund. Seven business days have passed for me. This is really stressful, as we do not just have 400 bucks to just wait around for, and it was an error on their faulty app, and human error from customer support which caused this. We have two refund ticket numbers. We're not sure why they wouldn't refund the charges of $203.62 and keep the original charges of $203.44. I do not plan to renew with Mint Mobile after this. I firmly believe that *************************' takeover is ruining Mint Mobile.Mint Mobile

1 starIf I could give a zero star rating I would. I ordered a new phone and a 12 month plan (at a 6 month price) as that was the deal at the very top of their 'Deals' page. I needed to renew and wanted a new phone so it worked out perfect. After I placed my order, I tried to activate my new service since it was the day before my renewal date, and I had to contact customer service since I was already a customer, and only then was I informed that the deal I purchased was for new customers only (after looking at the additional information in the fine print it states there, but it was obviously not very clear beforehand). The customer service rep then told me she could cancel my 12 month plan at $180 and add a new one for $300... I told her to just cancel the order then because I didn't actually need a new phone and that I only got is due to the deal they had, and she said it was cancelled, but the next day the charge still showed up on my account. I contacted them once again and only then was a 'refund request' submitted. I got my refund later that day, but had to call back once again because they are still charging me shipping... when I asked the customer service rep why I was being charged for a phone that I never got and never even shipped, I was just told multiple times that they do not refund for shipping under any circumstances, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, he put me on hold with no response for almost 10 minutes only to tell me that there was not a supervisor there to speak to me... I switched my service last night and will be calling today to see if they will refund my 3 months of service since I used it less than a day.. wish me luck, I feel like you need it when dealing with their customer service peopleReview fromDebra

1 starI would have given 0 stars if it were possible. Switched to Mint Mobile at the end of October after Hurricane ***. Bought the 12 month plan and phone from them. Activated phone and from the first day I frequently had issues sending and receiving texts. And making calls. When a call would come in I would be told by the caller that it took a long time for the call to go through or I wouldn't know anyone was trying to reach me until a voicemail alert showed up.I call Mint after the first week- they had me troubleshoot the problem and thought we had corrected the problem. And then the phone would start dropping calls, no service when I was away from my wifi, and unless I restarted my phone repeatedly through the day I couldn't use the phone or service.Called customer support again - they said it was probably because a tower was down so they shifted me to another tower. It was long after that the problems started again.I called customer support again and they said I had a bad sim card so they would send me another one.Another week goes by - we install the new sim card and it seems to have made the situation better but not completely. At this point I am so angry I ask for a refund and I'm told I waited too long and would not get any money back even though I was on record from almost day one complaining about the service.I am the wife of an alzheimer's patient. Our household is on a fixed income and unable to absorb hits like this to our budget. Between the purchase of the phone and service Mint has been paid in the vacinity of $350.00 for unreliable service which is of no fault of my own. I feel taken advantage of and believe there should be some sort of reimbursement to me for the phone and service. I was beginning to believe something was interfering with the cell service in our area making it difficult for me to get good service. Not True! As of today I am a customer of Consumer Cellular - having paid double to finally be able to have a working phone.Mint Mobile
