2 starsThe service is on but trying to return a defective device had been impassible and costly. The cuisine experience is bad as I've seen other people complain of the same issues with phones from the same manufacturer. I was offered ac rma that net came and then I read offered it again but then they backpedaled and refused. Or send that there is no retail control or accountabili**. I'm unable to get a proper receipt and they don't honor their own policies, they just twist the meaning for the company's own gain. Pawning the problem off on manufactures and insurance companies when they're legally bound to take accountabili**. And telling you they're sorry for your experience. I had to claim the purchase w my creditor and only after I mentioned that did they offer ** send a label I still have yet to recieve. I will never buy another device from this company and I urger consumers to be weary and to have all their bases covered before joining mummy. Definitely keep your old device if you order a new one through this company. I had another carrier for 5 years and I only transferred my number on good faith. I didn't read enough reviews or forums about their retail practices.Mint Mobile

1 starSame story as others, but these reviews were available only after I signed up. I first had 3 month plan as trial and service was fine. Renewed for one year Jan. 4, 2023 to take advantage of $15/Mo. rate. 4 MG per mo. was plenty for keeping in touch with family and friends but service was poor - frequent "Mint temporarily unavailable" messages. Sought help from foxbot computer chat. After an hour verifying my account I was instructed to shut phone down and remove sim card. Replied I did not know how to do that because my son activated my account last fall. Was told to let them know when I got it out. Went to ******* store and had them cancel Mint and set up a ******* account. Knowledgable clerk and pleasant experience. Called Mint to confirm cancellation and request refund and was told they no longer give refunds. Expensive ****** for me but be warned this is a shady operation. Reliability trumps cheap and "I'm sorry."Mint Mobile

1 starWhen we moved our line to Mint mobile in March 2023 they promised a referral credit for both me and the referral line as listed on their page ****************************************************** (Unlimited Plan you get $90 in credit. That way your friend will get their $15 in credit, too). I was supposed to get $90 since I have an unlimited plan and my referral should have gotten $15. I have yet to receive the referral credit and I have called multiple times and was told each time that a support ticket would be opened, the account notated with the concern, and that I would get an email with the support case number, as they would not provide it over the phone, and that the credits would be applied to our accounts. Neither line has received a credit and I have not received 1 single support ticket email. When I call back they do not see anything in the notes and tell me no support ticket was created and then I have through the whole thing again. They should not false advertise a referral program if they are not actually providing the referral credits. This has been so frustrating. Be aware!Mint Mobile

1 starAdvice: Do not switch to Mint.Details:1. Switched 3 lines + 1 new; paid for 3 months with auto renewal 2. Three esims and 1 physical sim. Installed app, setup "family"3. First few days phone calls worked, but noticed delay in OTP sent from Mint 4. Added money to wallet for intl calls 5. Two days later, when I had to make an intl call, it said service was not available 6. Called help desk. They asked me to logout of app.7. Since I had forgotten password after enabling fingerprint, tried to reset, but otp never came. Tried this dozens of times.8. All phones are now "sos only" or "emergency calls only" (iphone and adroid both)9. I'm not able to call helpdesk.10. Support can't reset password with otp 11. Support does not understand the issue. Says system glitch. Asks for ***** hours to solve.13. There are no fallback options for otp. They could have sent it to email.14. ****** authenticator was configured and tested before. But, password reset process does not accept it. 15 When all lines are with one carrier and all of those get deactivated because of a system glitch only for your account, and they need 48 hours to fix, what do you make of it? Businesses like this should not be allowed to operate in ***. PERIOD.Mint Mobile

1 starI want to warn anyone considering switching to Mint Mobile: DO NOT purchase any more than one month at a time for multiple months, even if purchasing more months at a time will save you money in the long-run. If you have issues with service after 45 days of activating a service, they WILL NOT refund you any money even if you can't use their service.
We had adequate service for the first month, so we decided to buy a 12-month plan after that to save money in the long-run (to get the advertised deal of $15 per month per line). At about half-way into the next month, none of our phones would work consistently at the same address. We reached out to customer support 3 times to get the issue fixed and none of their recommendations/troubleshooting fixed the issue. The last customer support person just recommended we wait it out to see when we would get service back, which is a horrible idea to tell people who need regular cell phone contact for appointments.
We purchased 3 lines at over $600 for a 12-month plan, having only used half of a month of service, then we decided to switch due to being without cell service at our address for over 2 weeks. When I requested the refund, they denied it and wouldn't refund ANY of the money, so we had to switch carriers and being out of over $500 in unusable service. The email denial I got simply stated their policy:
"You are not eligible to request a refund for a new Mint Mobile service activation or SIM Kit when forty-five (45) calendar days have passed since the date of purchase (“45-Day Refund Exclusion”)."
I would advise to pay month-by-month and not expect any refunds back after 45 days regardless of the reason. They are unwilling to work with you after that point. I hope this review helps others to refrain from trusting Mint Mobile until you have had months into service.Mint Mobile

1 starThe worst cellular service I have ever had. Also the worst customer service. I started service with ****************** and quickly realized that the coverage was horrible. I cancelled service after 4 days and requested a refund. I was told it would take **** business days. I called in **** times to check on the status and every time a customer service agent gave me a different story. Finally, after waiting 15 days someone told me that the refund was denied because I transferred my number before the refund went through. A total scam company. Do not use Mint Mobile.Mint Mobile

1 starUnethical. Overpaid them for a one year unlimited phone plan 1 month before my existing plan with them was due to expire. Then a few days prior to the renewal, rather than go with an unlimited plan, I decided to go with a 10 MB plan for a year, leaving me a credit balance with them of approximately $120. A few months later, I transferred my service to another carrier and they refuse to provide me credit for the overpayment. Note that I know I lost the money I paid for the 1 year plan that I didn't use. My complaint is that they won't refund my overpayment to them. They also won't provide statements for the actual charges and never issue receipts -- it's all available on-line only and then once you cancel service, none of the information is available and they refuse to provide statements.Mint Mobile

1 starService is very spotty across *****. They make it very difficult to find your account number because they know the only reason you need it is to take your phone number to a different carrier. Then if your service lapses during the transfer period, which they are going to take the full 2 business days they say it will take to transfer your number, they say they can't transfer the number because it is an inactive account.Mint Mobile

1 starToo bad no zero stars! Had Mint for about 1 week. I also bought a new phone from them, which they activated. For half of that week I had about 15 calls dropped after a few minutes into my conversations. Several were dropped while I was on hold with unemployment. I'm sure some of you know what a nightmare it can be trying to get a live person on that line! Anyway, i called Mint on several occasions to try to get the issue remedied but to no avail. The last call was to their tech department. After no callback from Mint, which I was assured I would get, I called again. I was told that I would probably get a call in 48 or 72 hours! 2 or 3 days with no fix for my phone! Today, I switched to another provider. I had to call Mint to get my account number and pin. I told the rep that I wanted a full refund for the service (or lack of), and I would return the phone for a full refund. She told me that I had used the service so I wouldn't be refunded money for that or the phone! I said "I didn't get to use the service half of the time!" She replied "well, I'm sorry but we can't refund any of your money." FIND ANY PROVIDER OTHER THAN MINT!!! What a terrible experience! They are the absolute worst!Mint Mobile

1 starWish I could give a zero. The tech support did NOT help and I did not get my texts working. Luckily, I had a Visible SIM card and just swapped it out. Up and running with no issues within about 15 minutes. I suggest getting an additional card from a competitor so you can switch at a moment's notice. Seems like (once any company has you) it takes forever to get tech support, but you can port to another carrier within minutes.I hate that I have to go around the block to get to the house next door, but if it keeps me moving, that is ultimately what I need.Mint Mobile
