1 starI signed up with mint 9 months ago. It was fine until I decided ro leave and switch to Spectrum. I purchased my unlocked iPhone at the Apple Store. Mint has somehow locked my phone to them and it is impossible to talk to someone that is able to do anything about it. I am now paying for spectrum, plus I had to pay for another 3 months of mint (so I could use my phone!!!) I have spoken to at least 15 different people at mint customer service. One person will say I unlocked it. Wait 24hours. 24 hours later it is of course still locked. I call again and this time the person tells me that they cant unlock it because its not locked by them. I am getting lied to by everyone. Nobody is able to actually help me. It is obviously locked by them because when I decided to pay for another 3 months it worked perfectly. If it was locked by another carrier, how would I be able to reconnect with mint?!?! They are basically refusing to allow me to switch to spectrum by locking my phone, which they have no legal right to lock, since I bought it outright and unlocked from the Apple Store.Mint Mobile

1 starIn May of 2022 I purchased a ****** Pixel 5A through Mint Mobile, and I have been a customer of theirs ever since. Unfortunately last Friday my Pixel 5A screen went black and would not power on. ****** offers a 1 year extended repair program for the Pixel 5A because this is a common issue. However, when I went to ****** to try to get the repair processed, they informed me that I was unable to use the extended repair program because Mint Mobile was not an authorized ****** device reseller at the time of purchase. I called Mint Mobile, and after an hour of back-and-forth was told that they would not honor the extended repair program. I am out of luck because I purchased a lemon phone through this scam company. I will be canceling my service with Mint Mobile as soon as I can get a new phone through a respectable vendor.Mint Mobile

1 starDisappointed!! I guess I am naive and partially not so smart but I fell for the ************************* charming hook! I am a 55+ year old phone user. I didn't read the fine print. The plans in the end are no different than they are for people who are under 55. It's just a hook the $45 for 3 months. It's not every 3 months for 55+ /seniors which is an economical good choice! I was thrilled that Mint Mobile had a 55+ plan. However if you cannot drop a $180+ payment (which is the very basic basic plan 5gb a month to get the $15 a month savings) after the first 3 months this company is not for you! If you are on a fixed income as many seniors are on in their golden years this company is not for you! The $45 dollars is a hook! The cheapest plan after the 3 months is $75 for 3 months which is $25 a month. You will not benefit from the $15 a month after the first 3 months unless you have big money to spare. I am now on the **** for a simple sim plan way cheaper than the overall Mint Mobile company is offering. I hope ************************* soccer team keeps winning cause his Mint Mobile Team is not!!!!Mint Mobile

1 starPoor customer service. Called several times to turn off voicemail on the last call they finally said it wasnt possible. However, on the first call the representative asked for three of my outgoing or incoming phone numbers to verify account. Not sure if this was company policy or fraud so please be careful.Mint Mobile

1 starWe had three phone lines and called to cancel two after the charge went through. I was told I would get a refund for $260 since the charge had just gone through, and I had yet to use the service. The refund was not made, so I called today and, after 45 minutes, was told not to worry and that the refund would be applied to my card. I gave the card details again, got a reference number, and was told I would get a refund confirmation email within ***************************************** I won't get a refund. I was told twice that my refund would be processed. Furthermore, if I were told I would not get a refund on October 9th (the day of the charge), I would have kept the 3-month service and used it.Horrible service, horrible policies, and the connection was equally horrible.Mint Mobile

1 starTheir service seems to be okay if you have a newer phone. However, they repeatedly have failed to send me SIM cards and have taken a couple of weeks to correct their own errors!My most recent debacle with them was ordering 2 new phones and a one-year phone plan SIM Card.They sent me a blank SIM and told me it would be 24 BUSINESS HOURS (Today is Saturday!) for them to get back to me, as they have to track down what they did or didn't do.Meanwhile, I have a new phone with no service.Plus, when they do finally decide to send this card, it'll take at least another week!This SIM card "challenge" has occurred more than once in the year I've used them for 2 phones. My son actually lost his 1st card and could never actually get a replacement sent, they kept saying they sent it. I ordered a new one at full price and it also never showed up. He gave up. Once you do get a working SIM from them, you can at least do the rest online from there.Mint Mobile

1 starIn October 2023 I went through Mint Mobile's online purchase to buy a Sim card for my current phone. I chose the shipping method as **** first class and paid with my CC. I received an email from Mint stating the Sim card had been shipped the next day but with ***** as the carrier. I do not and will not use *****. Period. Please see the BBB ***** Complaint I submitted for details.I contacted Mint customer support by phone and told them to- 1. Cancel my order for the Sim Card. 2. Issue a refund for my purchase. 3. Contact ***** and have the delivery canceled/returned. 4. Send me an email confirming the above actions were completed.Not only did I not receive an email from Mint but the Sim card continued to progress through the ***** system. When I contacted ***** to have the package returned or held at a X-fer center or returned.....***** said I'd need to contact Mint Mobile to have them do what was needed. (Which I had already done the day before....)Not only did Mint Mobile make a mistake on the very first transaction between us but they also demonstrated their customer support is unwilling and/or incapable of correcting that mistake. The result being that I, the customer was in an endless loop of trying to get the different customer support of both ******************/***** to do what needed to be done. Which neither ended up doing...Both Mint Mobile and ***** are dysfunctional and deserve to be paired together. I will do business with neither of them ever again. 2 starsIn March 2023 I signed up for Mint but the employee did not activate my eSim card. I was charged for 3 months of using their service even though I still had my old phone plan active and wasn't even using *************** They finally activated my eSim card in June 2023 but refused to refund the previous 3 months. The new eSim had significant technical issues in which I spent 8 hours chatting with various employees on how to solve issues such as: the wifi was not connecting, texts would not send, then images would not send, then I could not text any android users. The employees hung up on me and kicked me out of the online chat over 10 times so I ended up talking to over a dozen different employees until I could find ones that would not hang up on me. Now, in October 2023, over 8 MONTHS later, they finally solved all of my technical issues but still refuse to give me a refund even though I've spent so many months not able to use the full service that I've been paying for. I want a refund or a voucher. Even then, I'd only give a *** of 3 stars for how awful the service experience has been. The fact that I was hung up on so many times and never was called back is extremely unprofessional. I never was disrespectful or rude to any of the employees so I do not understand why I was treated that way. The service has been fine otherwise, at least when I am texting iPhone users.Mint Mobile
