      I have been trying to UNFREEZE my credit report to apply for a new credit card. The website states my password is incorrect. I try to reset my password and it never sends me the six digit code to verify my identify.I have no idea what phone number Experian has on file either as it tells me my number is wrong. I called your automated system as well and can't speak to a human being. It keeps looping me to enter a PIN (which I have entered) then tells me I have to do something via regular mail or the website. I can't login to the website. It says my password is wrong and won't let me reset it.I need assistance ****.

      I am trying to apply for a new credit card. My credit file is frozen with Experian. I tried to login to the Experian website to ******** it and it will not let me. It keeps stating my password is wrong. I have tried to reset my password and I never receive the email or SMS codes that their website states it has sent.

      I called their toll free number and there is literally NO way to speak with a customer ********************** associate. I need assistance in ********** my credit so I can apply for a new credit card.

      I'm not sure what additional clarification is needed here. I am trying to UNFREEZE my credit with Experian and they are making it virtually impossible and even more impossible to SPEAK with someone who maybe at best can at least assist with me getting a password reset accomplished.

      My identity was stolen and I put a credit freeze on my account. My account with ********************** was hacked several months ago and I no longer have access to my account through **********************. A report was filed with the company and they asked that I mail proof of ID to them which I did months ago. After follow up the response I get is that they will address the report on the order it was received. Today I received a letter from **************** saying someone tried to take out a savings account in my name. Someone else having access to my online Experian account is an emergency since I can no longer freeze or unfreeze my account, but someone else can. Please help!

      Experian has has EXTREMLY POOR if non-existent security as evidenced by how many times they have had acknowledged and unacknowledged data breaches. Because of this non-security a bad actor was able to create a fraudulent Experian Smart Money account in my name. While I had this account closed as soon as I found out about it, Experian Smart Money is continuing to report this account as a validly opened account. They have indicated that despite the overwhelming evidence such as the contact information for the bad actor being entirely different than my contact information, and that I have no access or even knowledge of the contact information used to create the account that the bad actor created. This fraudulent account creation is part of an ongoing cyber attack where I am frequently having fraudulent accounts created because of the complete lack of security at Experian. I am asking that Experian Smart Money remove this account as fraudulently created and STOP reporting false information about this account.

      I am not quite sure what you are looking for. This company which is a partner of Experian allowed an account to be fraudulently opened in my name. I have been trying unsuccessfully to get them to clean up the fraudulently created account. They are insisting that since the person knew information on my Experian credit report, that it must have been me. However, my Experian credit report is available to any bad actor that wants it. If they would have looked at my current report they would have seen a message to that effect and that additional verification was needed. However, they are insisting that I opened the account since the bad actor had all the information on my Experian credit report. Given the very low security at Experian, any bad actor can get a full copy of an Experian credit report. The fraudulent account was created in an attempt to steal money by transferring it to an account with my name on it. Those transfer were stopped before any money changed hands. The last I was able to ascertain is that the fraudulent account has a zero balance. The account simply needs to be removed. However, they will not. Until the account is cleaned up it is negatively impacting me simply by the insistence that I opened an account that I did not. I have done about all I can do, but it is impossible with this company to get a understandable human reply. I can and have written them, but the will not even reply. I can only get automated bot responses by phone, email, etc. that are nonsensical. All I am asking is that they remove this fraudulent account that has a zero balance and was never successfully used thanks to the much better security of others.

      I'am completely locked out of my Experian account. It has caused me great stress trying to deal with this company. I am unable to access my Experian account thru their web page as the User Name and Password no longer work. Using their "reset password" feature throws you into a doom loop and nothing ever happens. Calling is a complete waste of time as no one ever answers. I used the help section of their web page to find out how to deal with this situation and mailed in all the required information in order to receive help, yet all I received back was a letter telling me, that they believe the information I sent didn't come directly from me. Or I didn't authorize this. Your request is denied. Yet, they mailed their response back to my address which I had sent them?? I had my data breached during the T-Mobile data hack a couple of years ago and was able to turn off my Experian account, but times have now changed and from time to time I will need to turn it back on and off again. I am unable to do this because I am unable to access my account online and they are unable or unwilling to help me. I have no problems with the other two reporting agencies at all. It's just Experian. The files I have attached are a copy of the letter I sent them along with the reply letter I got back from them. I sent them all the necessary files requested even though sending such information thru the mail is dangerous now.

      I am locked out of my Experian account.    I am unable to log in and lock or unlock the account.    There web page is so poorly written that it puts you in a doom loop,   That means it's impossible to get the information you need to reset passwords.      If you dial the numbers provided by Experian, it's a complete waste of time.    The phone is never answered, it simply rings and rings and rings.    So, for a company that has control of whether or not you are able to get and or use your credit, this system is untenable.   My goal is to actually speak to someone that could resolve my issue as it's impossible to do on their web page and calling is a waste of time.     I followed the instructions on their web page to mail in confidential information and they would handle it.    Yet they didn't.    All I got was a letter (attached to original complaint) that states, they don't believe it's me.    Even though I provided all the appropriate information they asked for.  If they didn't believe it was me, then why did they mail me that letter back to my address?    If they believe me to be a fraudster why would they do that? 

       

      Please explain how you wish me to send this authorization to you in order to proceed?

       This sounds all very good and well, however, I do have an account with **********************, which I am unable to get into.    When I go to my account and put in my credentials, the web **** tells me that my name or password is invalid,   When I go to password reset absolutely nothing happens.    It places me in a "doom loop".    Constantly telling me that my name or password is invalid, yet not letting me change my password.    Not only that, but when I try to start a new account, it tells me that I already have an account and to please log into that account, which I am unable to.   I have tried calling the phone number you have listed and no one ever answers that phone.    Not only that, but I have tried to mail all my information to the post office box provided, only to receive a letter back that they believe that I am a scammer trying to gain access to my credit.    Again, just another doom loop this outrageously incompetent company imposes on people that wish they didn't have to deal with Experian.   Obviously the company is incapable of anything remotely close to Customer **********************.    And a quick glance at their ****** Reviews validates my claims.

      I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THROUGH SEVERAL PORTALS OVER THE LAST YEAR OF DATA BREECHES TO MY PERSONAL INFORMATION. ******** TO NAME JUST ONE, AND THERE ARE MANY. I HAVE HAD THIS CELL FOR A LONG TIME AND I CHANGED THE NUMBER LAST WEEK. I CAN NOT GET INTO MY EXPERIAN ACCOUNT, AND THROUGH MANY ATTEMPTS, I CAN NOT GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE EVEN DURING BUSINESS HOURS, SOMETIMES THERE IS SOME RANDOM MESSAGE AND IT JUST ENDS THE CALL. THE SITE DIRECTS YOU TO CALL AND THE CALL NUMBER DIRECTS YOU TO THE SITE IN AN ENDLESS CYCLE. I NEED MY CELL NUMBER CHANGED SO THAT I CAN CHECK MY ACCOUNT AS WELL AS SECURE IT FROM POTENTIAL THREATS. EXPERIAN HAS NO RIGHT TO REMOVE THE ABILITY TO SPEAK TO A person even when all else fails. I see all over the internet many are having this same issue.       Unfreeze Experian . I put a freeze on my account appropriately ****** ago due to attempted fraud. I have called 10 different numbers for Experian and have not been able to get past their automated "customer **********************". Due to a financial emergency, I desperately need to have assistance to unfreeze my credit as soon as possible

      I recently signed up with Experian Boost via their website and have found it not to work correctly. Once I connected my bank accounts, It detected none of my bills whatsoever. Self-service options on the help page and the chatbot were of no use. So I attempted to phone them for help. Each number that I called had an automated voice that demanded my social security number, then it immediately declared that help was not available and hung up on me. I checked the business hours before calling to make certain they were open. There are also no email options for support. I was not allowed to connect to a human being no matter how many times I tried. For the record, here are the numbers I tried, all of which I got from the Experian website:*****************-***************-************ It is absolutely, completely unacceptable not to allow a customer access to a human agent for assistance during business hours. I dont care how big their bureau is, this behavior speaks extremely poorly of it and they should be ashamed.

      Thank you for reaching out regarding your concerns with Experian BoostTM. An account must be a utility or telecom (mortgages are not included)with at least three bills paid from the connected bank account over the last six months to be eligible for Experian Boost. Experian Boost also only picks up online payments and does not include checks or cash payments.  Additionally, Experian Boost requires that you have online banking with your bank or credit union.  We cannot manually add accounts to your Boost program.  Once you establish a link with your bank and Boost by signing in with your bank credentials on our site, the accounts are then identified by our program and presented to you for verification. There are instances where Experian Boost cannot identify certain utilities, and the feedback received is provided to our development team.  As we continue to improve your utilities may become eligible. We suggest keeping your bank account connected as the system will continue to scan, and if, at some point,your utility or telecom payments become eligible, you will be notified via email.

      I should note that my utility accounts do meet the criteria that Experian has specified to be picked up by the Boost app and that I make the payments online as specified as well.

      I setup an account online to manage my credit freeze and I am not being given the option to manage my credit freeze. I tried using my security freeze pin that I received and thats not working either. This is one of many complaints filed and Im shocked that Im having the same issue. Why Im I having the same issue. The years of this account managed is not being taken into account? Why Im I having the same issue accessing my information? I am also confused as to why the report number is the same as the security pin number. How is this fair - if when I need to access my report I am always matched with difficulties.

      Experian will not allow me to unfreeze my credit report after my information was leaked in a data breach. I froze my credit to prevent further fraudulent attempts using my identity, and they will not help me in resolving the issue. Because my credit report is frozen on Experian, my fianc and I are going to lose the opportunity to purchase a home. I request that my credit report is unfrozen immediately, so that my fianc and I can continue in the process of purchasing this home.

      Because of a data breach, I was offered the opportunity to sign up for credit monitoring and protection by the ***********. However, in order to activate my protection, I have been required to answer questions online from the Experian company (the company I am now complaining about). I understand the need for such security, but Experian has drafted questions that make no sense. This is not just my opinion, but two customer ********************** ***** for *** have advised me about this and told me that *** has requested that Experian correct this problem but Experian has failed to do so. To give an example, I was asked whether I had owned a particular car prior to March 2018 - and since I had not, I correctly said no. But the *** ***** have advised me that I should have said yes, because what the question actually was trying to ask me is whether ever and even since March 2018 have I owned the car. I am told by the *** representatives that many people are having the same type of problem. To give another example, when I tried again to activate my account, there was an ********************** question about whether I had lived at certain addresses. I correctly answered that I had not. According to the *** ***** what Experian was trying to ask was whether I ever had visited one of those locations and used my credit card there. Apparently, I am supposed to check my credit reports - see all the places where I ever used a credit card - and then guess what wrong answer Experian wants, in order then to be credited with having given the right answer, so long as I actually give a wrong answer. This is all absurd and, because of Experian's incompetence, I am being denied the right to activate my account and obtain needed protections. Note that since I was notified to do this from a California address, I am directing this complaint to Experian in **********. If that is not the right office, Experian should say what office should instead be contacted.

      This is to confirm that I filed the complaint against Experian with the BBB and I do indeed want the BBB to handle the complaint.  I understand that the complaint was sent to your Arizona office as the Experian Headquarters is there.  I therefore do also confirm that I want your particular BBB office to handle this matter. 

      My particular complaint - including specifically the problems that have occurred in my particular matter - is already detailed in the complaint I already filed.  There is nothing I could possibly add - I already have given you the complete picture of what has gone wrong.

       The business did contact me, but apparently still does not plan to address the problems identified with their inaccurate screening questions.  Therefore, please record this as business responded but complainant did not agree with their response.

       I keep making the suggestion that Experian reexamine the questions that they have provided being used to screen people who try to sign up for credit monitoring.  They keep saying that they have spoken to me, and 'value my input' but they have not committed to doing this.  

      If they will not commit to this, please just put this down as company responded, but complainant was not satisfied with the response.  Let's not keep going in circles - please call this to a half right now.
