    In Nov. 2023 I phoned HomeChecks.com (alternately, Propertyrecord.com) at **************, to check on the amount of property tax paid by nearby neighbors. I was comparing what I was paying to determine if the homestead exemption granted me was as it should be. I was interested in only that one-time use of this service. I think I made it clear that I did not authorize monthly withdrawals from my Amex credit account. It was not until 8/15/24 that it was realized that this company had been charging me monthly for a service I didn't know I still had and did not use.Interestingly, when I called this company on the eve of 8/15/24 to inquire about this, I was asked if I was calling to cancel service before I could explain to the representative that that was the reason. I was told that I was presented with options and that I chose one that continued service.I do know for sure that I did not give explicit and clear authorization to bill me monthly.I would like a refund of payments made after Nov. 2023=$252.00, and would like my compliant to go on record that perhaps this might not happen to someone else.

    I have not received a refund amount from Uscrimedata.com How was the refund issued? Since my card ending in 5164 was cancelled by my bank, the refund wont go through on that card  will I **** Check instead?  Thank you for your prompt response
