    I am an advanced practice registered nurse in private practice. I received a request in September 2023 through Release Point to send records on a patient. I sent those records and billed them $50.00 for copying and sending the records. On 11/16/2023, I received an email from Release Point providing payment in the form of a **** Charge authorization. I attempted two times to call them that I do not accept **** Purchase Cards for sending records. I could not get through to the phone number listed on the fax ***************** . My call was disconnected each time I entered the extension. I then have sent three emails to the company informing them I do not accept **** Purchase Cards for sending records. They have only replied that they have received my email, routed it to customer service, and would get back to me soon. I have not heard from customer service about my request to be paid by check for the records. Their lack of response amounts to fraudulent business practices. Every other company that requests records pays for the records via a bank check and not a **** Purchase Card. I sent the records as requested in good faith and they in kind have not acted in good faith. Sincerely, ***********************, **, RN, CS, APRN

    I am disabled and am receiving long term disability. The company needs my medical records in order to approve extensions. They use third party, Release Point, to obtain medical records and they need records in a timely manner. I will receive an authorization form via mail and email. I do not have a printer or scanner so I prefer email. I also receive several phone calls from various people. I am disabled and in bed and cannot tolerate all this correspondence. I know this is urgent, so once I receive the email form I will verify information, sign, date and email back. Then Ill get a phone call that they never received the form. I check my email, resend the form and email it to the general email box plus copy manager. Two weeks later they call AGAIN advising they never received the form. I send to all again, speak to manager, she confirms receipt (all good) and I tell her too much time has passed (at least 2-3 weeks), so need rushed. Meanwhile the records should have been sent at least 4 weeks prior. Get another call that they need updated. Needless to say the frustration from their staffs incompetency is killing me. I blame management and they are not finding solutions; they are just causing problems for not only patrons, but the companies they represent. I did notify the insurance company of the situation and they said that their management team are aware of the problems and they will do something about it soon. Ive been having problems with Release Point ever since I got sick in 2021.
