On April 8, 2021, BBB Serving Los Angeles and Silicon Valley requested that the business substantiate, modify, or discontinue claims on the company's website, www.celestolite.com. The company advertises "NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS" and "NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS

According to BBB files, records show that the company has a pattern of complaints concerning consumers being sold skincare products with the promise of refunds from your sales representatives' if the consumers were unsatisfied. Once the consumer attempted to return the product they were informed of the No Refund Policy, which was only printed on their receipt. Per California state law retailers must inform consumers about their refund policy by conspicuously placing a written notice of the policy, so it can be easily seen and read. The policy must be displayed either at each entrance, at each cash register and sales counter, on tags attached to each item, or on the company's order forms. A return policy printed only on a receipt, for example is not sufficient. On May 10, 2017 the BBB contacted the company in regards to our concerns about the amount and the pattern of complaints we have received. Unfortunately, the BBB did not receive a response.

My husbandand I were onvacation on 3/11/24 inPanama and this guy we meet in the street looks at my husband and tells him oh I see you work in computers cuz you have bags under your eyes, anyway he escorts us to his store and starts showing us products and persuading us likecrazy although I kept saying I dont want to spend on skincare he kept pushing. One product that you rub on your ********* peels your deadskin, he kept trying to promote and I said I didnt want it.He lied about the price. He said it was over 200$ to us.I said I dont want it then he started persuading us to buy another product for baggy eyes by showing us on the website its $1K and he will give it to us for 500 and we said no so he then preceded to add in that skin peel thing and say h*** do both for 400$ andhe said oh dont be cheap, after high persuasion tactics, we purchased the peel and other eye product for 385$ and I left the store feeling soscammed. After I went online and saw he was lying about the price of the peel (120$)&he was making excuses and calling us names and pretending as if were the crazy ones when I reached out via WhatsApp.I also foundtons of articles online about how this company is a scam and what happened to me happened to thousands of others and he totally ignored.Another thing is that one of the products that we got was half empty when we opened it and upon telling him he got really angry saying oh it cant be why are you calling me a liar?This wasnt shocking considering he was defensive about everything from the start.I want to get a refund or at least a partial refund for these products. The eye product is still closed and the other product that came half empty wasnt used since seeing that. I also found out that the skin peel is not all natural ingredients and ******* kept boasting that it is. We werent told no returns are allowed he was just trying really hard the whole time to make us buy the products and made us feel like he spoiled us when he left us upset

Terrible. I have eye inflammation from this store 1694B ********** ******* **. Salesman? Did he have dirty hands or was the product contaminated? You are in trouble. I will be relentless.
