All Valley Appliances was dispatched by Old Republic Home Protection for the repair of a Kitchen Aide refrigerator on June 2. The technician spent less than five minutes at the house. He took pictures of the inside of the refrigerator and said he would order a part and left. I paid 110 dollars to Old Republic for the trade fee. We never heard back from the company so on June ***** I made multiple phone calls to All Valley, but there was no answer. In the meantime Old republic left a message that the appliance company determined the refrigerator is not repairable because the damper is defective. This is not correct since the damper was replaced in March and is working and the technician never checked the damper he just took a picture. I have an invoice for the work from a separate company. I tried contacting Old republic several times and have not been able to reach anyone. When I looked up the reviews of All Valley Appliances it seems this picture taking and providing no service is a pattern. They come in do nothing, tell the home insurance company its customer fault or not repairable and then collect the 110 dollars for the service call which takes them five minutes. I will be submitting a separate complaint for my insurance company for hiring a scam company who never has the intention of making repairs. In addition the invoice left with us had no diagnosis of the problem because the technician is actually not a technician. Old republic left a voice message stating they were closing the work order and not refunding the service fee based on verbal message that the damper was defective.

******************** dispatched All Valley to diagnose and fix my freezer. They claimed a part was needed in order for them to fill the freezer with Freon. This was off to me so I began to ask more questions. It sounded odd to me as Ive owned numerous refrigerators. After they were tinkering in the panel, the next day the fridge was broke and not cooling. I called them and the owner who is a one man show was nasty, unprofessional, condescending and a liar. He refused to answer my questions but chose to insult me, including saying lady listen to me but not explaining anything. Then he hung up in my face and refused to answer the phone. I now have to pay *** a second fee to send someone out. I plan to hold both *** and ************ liable. They shouldnt be sending companies to our home that have numerous complaints for the same reason. These complaints go back years. Stay away from this company.

I am rejecting this response because:

All Valley Appliance Air Conditioning & Heating Services was very unprofessional, insulting and insensitive. *** did send out a second company who did assess the unit and concluded that there definitely was a problem and they have ordered the necessary parts and will make the repair.  I want All Valley Appliance Air Conditioning & Heating Services to pay for the water damage caused by their negligence and to pay for the food that was damaged due to the excess water directly caused by their work.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *******

I have American Home Shield (AHS) warranty service and my refrigerator and dishwasher both broke under normal wear and tear, which this company claims they cover. They sent out All Valley Appliance (the company the complaint is against). They sent out ******* who examined both appliances and said there were parts for both that need to be replaced. He said the parts would be ordered and he would come back out early the next week (this week). I called them today and they claimed the insurance company denied the claims. They would not give any more information. I called AHS and they said the damage was not wear and tear. This is false and I would have another unbiased company out to make a report that would certainly object to All Valley Appliance's diagnosis. I checked their yelp page and this is a tactic they have used in the past, resulting in a 1.9 star rating with 327 1-star reviews. I am not sure whether to file this complaint against All Valley Appliance or American Home Shield. I just want whoever it is to come finish the job and it the damage to the appliances is 100% wear and tear.

We've been assigned by your warranty company, to evaluate the problem and submit the report. If claim gets approved, we do the repairs.  Decision whether the failure would be  covered or not is solely made by  American Home Shield, based on a facts and supporting documents(pictures) presented to them. And yes, you as a home owner can request, to have a second opinion dispatched , which we would also recommend.

I am rejecting this response because: I am not questioning the accuracy of the company's assessment, I am stating in my complaint that the company filed a false description/assessment of the work required with AHS, causing us to require a 2nd opinion and having to have our initial claim rejected - yet All Appliance was paid. This was an intentional omission/fraud by the company itself that caused our initial claims to be rejected. We reached out to them to correct the form, rectify the inaccuracy so we could get the appliance fixed, yet they ignored us until we filed this claim (Emails, phone calls & messages). Companies should not be allowed to lie and get away from malicious, egregious, and fraudulent business practices.

    Sincerely,

we didn't collect $125 and can't  initiate refund. Per your contract with AHS you are entitled to get a 2nd opinion and yes you'll have to pay another $125. BUT ONLY IF DIAGNOSES FROM THE 2ND OPINION MATCHES OURS. So if you so sure, that our diagnoses are wrong, than most likely diagnoses from another company will be different .

I had been living in my home for less than 1 year, and All Valley was dispatched to assist with a stove cooktop repair as a result of a home warranty request on 9/3/2022.

The technician believed that the appliance was 20-25 years old, and he explained to me that the metal from my burners had fused together as a result of repeated use. He could not access the necessary areas for cleaning.

Verbally, he explained to me that as a next course of action, he would recommend submitting an order for new parts. However, he also candidly feared the parts would no longer be available or in production because of the age of my cooktop. In those scenarios, he suggested that my home warranty would issue a stipend to buy a new appliance instead of completing a repair because the cost of labor and parts would surpass *** reimbursement amount.

Days later, I received a notice that my service claim was denied by my warranty company because of my neglect to clean the burners. From my perspective, this denial does not differentiate between my 1 year of usage and the previous 20 years.

I called All Valley to request more context on the denial and to confirm that the metal fusing together was not due to the previous 20ish years of usage prior to my move-in. They refused to help and suggested that I work with another service provider.

I've attached a copy of my invoice which documents that the burners were clogged. However, the technician did not document my usage relative to the age of the appliance.

I'm filing a complaint with the BBB because I do not believe that All Valley used their expertise to advocate for me as a home warranty client. I feel deceived that All Valley would make an expert claim that 1 year of usage causes metal to fuse together and that this degradation is not linked to years of previous usage. I don't have an explanation of my accountability relative to previous tenants.

We were referred to them from our home warranty company. They came out and **** was nice and explained that our 2010 washer typically has a 10-year life span. We were told that we need to replace the washing machine. Made sense to us. Since Labor Day was coming up (and Covid), we were able to locate a similar replacement. However, everything changed when he got back to the office. First they said they would be able to fix it. Submitted their report. It was then approved for a repair. The home warranty company asked for the cause and then the story changed to Overfilling. Then the home warranty promptly rescinded their approval. All Valley Appliance took 2 calls to get a call back. They could not explain why I was told one thing that seemed reasonable after 12 years and something else was on the report. Would not let talk to anyone (technician, manager, etc).
