The end of Dec, I called All State/Square Trade about my GE Washer that has a leak and does not always ring out the clothes. They had me email photos of the washer and model number, serial number, etc. They said they would contact me back and they did not, I called again and the rep told me no claim had been filed before that date. They had some strange ******* address as my address and hopefully fixed that. On Jan 10th it seems they entered the claim. They had me do some checks on the washer and first asked me to have it repaired and send them the receipts to be reimbursed. I declined and asked them to send and pay for a repair person. They then offered to send me a check to refund the full amount. This is a practically brand new washer with issues. I said ok and they said in 5 business days I would receive the check. I never did and called back. That rep said no one processed the check but she would and again it would be 5 business days. Still no check. Tonight I chatted with a rep who says the check was mailed 2/14/23. I still don't have it. The rep and supervisor I chatted with (I have the chat) now say again it will be 5 to 7 business days. I keep asking them to overnight it and have been told repeatedly they can not. I asked ****** the supervisor tonight how can I be sure the check will be mailed now and he said, because he is handling. Frankly, I have no confidence and even by their records this has gone on since January 10, ****. I told the rep ****** and supervisor ************** was sending my complaint through BBB but this did not seem to matter. Thank you for any help.Business Response

I purchased an ** Dishwasher approximately one year ago from *********** I am receiving an error code that I could not troubleshoot myself. I purchased a warranty which is through Allstate but they use Squaretrade. I have filed a claim and sent in receipts that they requested multiple times over the course of a few months. I am told to call them back. Each time I call the representative states they cannot read the receipt which is photographed on a 200mp HDR camera and emailed to them. I cannot get past this step in the process and have not received any service warranty for several months now. I am frustrated that I cannot get anywhere with this company. There is no supervisor to speak with. I would like to have my claim resolved!!! Horrible customer service. I believe this company to be a scam.Business Response

April 1, 2021, we purchased 3 phones and insurance from **** kiosk in *********** Here 2 years later one of the phones dies and we try to file a claim. Allstate says they have no record of our insurance policy and will not honor the claim or give a refund. We have been paying $20.95 every month for 2 years. What we are asking is for a refund for our payments since 4-1-21. There is no direct line for the consumer. The only way to get them is to go thru the Sam's ***** line ************.Business Response

I purchased a phone from ******* on 08/24/2022 and paid for the protection plan. I filed a claim with the company February 6 2023 and had the phone in the mail February 25 2023. I was told the phone was received March 1 and within 24 hours my replacement phone would be shipped. I have been in contact with the company since March 2 inquiring why I haven't received an email with tracking information. On March 6 i contacted the company on why I haven't received an email with tracking information or why I haven't received the replacement phone. That is when I was told the phone wasn't received ons March 1 that is was received March 6 and that is when I told the person I was speaking with that I was already told the phone was received on March 1. Everything I contact the company I am told its just a delay and it will be shipped. I had a supervisor email me on March 8 telling me it was a delay. The email stated I had 20 days to mail in the old phone and in 24 hours a replacement phone will ship and I will receive a replacement in 2 to 3 days. I am just asking for my replacement phone be shipped.Business Response

Ongoing issues with appliances since January 17, 2023 and the warranty company AllState/SquareTrade keeps just prolonging it and not sending the tech out to fix the issues. I have sent them several emails and called them several times and they keep responding with this same message - ""Thank you for contacting Allstate,In order to assist you with the best possible resolution, please give us a call on ************** or chat with one of our specialists at www.squaretrade.com/help so we can assist you.Sincerely,Allstate Protection Plans Team""On the call they assure me, that this will be resolved but nothing happens and they keep responding with this. I am rejecting this response because:This is in no way, shape or form resolved. Someone from corporate called me late last evening (3/10/23 around 6pm) to offer me a refund but I will ONLY trust it when I actually see the refund check or the funds transferred to my account. Case in point, they told me that they would be sending me a refund check 2 weeks back as well but I have still not recieved it. I have even asked for tracking info for the mailed in check but have not received anything yet.

I purchased a Allstate protection plan for some furniture. I ended up having to file a claim for the furniture. Allstate ended up issuing a refund. Allstate didn't allow me to select the method of payment for a refund and sent it as a gift card.I called to work it out with them, they informed me that they were unable to reissue the payment. The reason for not issuing this in the desired payment method was due to it "usually" being a gift card for purchases protected and sold from Wayfair.com. Usually indicates that there is a choice, and it seems they are unwilling to provide me with refund.Business Response

I filed a claim with them since last October, my replacement should have came in or been resolved in less than 30 days However, when I checked everytime it said it was under review. I chatted a couple of times. Called the number they provided. I work 6 days a week, I am a student and full time parent. It was hard to be on hold for ling as I'm always busy. I tried to check and file again nothing helped. Finally I called the number they provided on the chat again, I did became busy with life and set it aside hoping I'd hear from them. So now they say they can't help me as the claim is closed. I believe this is unfair, no claim takes months to be resolved. I was never informed if they tried getting a hold of me, I was given the wrong phone number. Since they didn't replace the PS4 controller, I would like the money for it as they said they could do to be able to buy another one. I am upset at the fact that yes I did forget about it after so long but claims shouldn't take so long to be resolved. What's the point of purchasing this if they make it so hard to replace an item. I purchased a television that ended up being defective, so my purchase price is being refunded by ******** I had also purchased an extended warranty through Allstate at the time of purchase for approx. $300. After the ** malfunctioned, I attempted to file a claim with Allstate which was denied because the ** was still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. This was within the first 12 mos of ownership. After speaking to Allstate about the situation, I was assured I would be refunded the full amount of the warranty instead of a "pro-rated" amount, which they initially offered. This warranty never went into effect due to the manufacturer's warranty still being in place, so they agreed that pro-rating my refund was unfair and I was assured they would refund me the full amount. I received a check in the mail yesterday for only $225.61. I have attempted to contact them again, but my emails have gone unanswered. The warranty plan ID is ***************.Business Response

I purchased a new iPhone through a salesman at Target. I already had insurance on my phones through ***** The salesman must have improperly signed me up for additional phone insurance with Square Trade/Allstate. I started getting charged $19.99 per month automatically on my **************** credit card. I attempted to contact Square Trade/Allstate NUMEROUS times by phone to confirm that I do not want this account opened and I want the charges to stop. I could not get through to anyone. Numerous times, I tried using voice commands as well as pressing numbers per a prompt for an operator but kept getting disconnected. I am now trying to confirm the cancellation online but that is not appearing to work. They are refusing to acknowlege the cancellation request and simply cancel the policy to stop any further charges. PLEASE HELP!Business Response

I purchased a car radio from SonicElectronix.com. I also purchased an extended warranty from All State SquareTrade on 12/13/22 (Plan #************) for $38.99. I returned the radio as it did not fit my car, and I received a refund for the radio. I was told to contact All State SquareTrade for the warranty cancelation and refund. I contacted them and was told the plan was canceled and I would be refunded $38.99 to the original payment method (discover credit card). I never got it. Again, I contacted them explaining the issue, and was told id receive a check in the mail. Never arrived. Again, I contacted them stating the check never arrived, and was told two things. They said the check was cashed (which I can prove I never cashed any check), and then I was told they were sending a new check out. Again, the check never arrived, and I contacted them. They told me they sent out another check and just wait for it to arrive. I contacted them again, and they said by Friday 3/3/23 I would receive the check. Of course, the check never arrived. They always claimed to be contacting their higher **** but still nothing is getting done about this situation. Today I was told I cashed the check again (which again I can prove I never did), and they'd get back to me by the end of today (So far, no email). Note: It seems that most of the support representatives for All State SquareTrade don't speak the best English, as they often didn't understand the situation, and would just ask me for information that I already provided them.Business Response
