    On November 16, 2023, I purchased a 3-pack massage series package at the ******************** Massage Envy (ME) location for $315. At the time of purchase I was not informed that my purchased massage package could only be used at the ******************** site and not any other Massage Envy site nor was this indicated on my receipt. Given this, I scheduled an appointment for February 8, 2024 at the *************** ME in hopes of using my pre-paid package since ME is a nationwide business, however, after receiving my service I was told by the *************** ME manager, *******, this was not possible. She explained that the ME sites are independently owned so packages can only be used at the location that they were originally purchased from. She continued to say that since I'm not a Massage Envy "member," my service package cannot be used at any nationwide ME location, it is restricted to the purchase location. As a result, I was charged for my service at the *************** site even though I already paid for the 90-minute service months ago through my previous package purchase. The manager said she would charge me the membership price instead of the regular price for my massage given the situation, so I was charged $98 for my service. I feel as though the ******************** ME failed in conveying important information to me as a customer and I would have proceeded differently in scheduling my appointment to use my massage package if I knew it was restricted to only one location. Also, I was charged for a service in February that I was under the assumption that I had already paid for in November.
