      The date of original purchase was Feb. 22,2023. A power reclining sofa with power head rests, stock number 2900-62H for the amount of $ 2759.00 plus sales tax of $ 240.03. An additional,Gold plan insurance policy was purchased for $ 350.00 that is good for five years. The couch was also purchased with a matching swivel gliding recliner that has been no problem. The couch was delivered in May 2023 and within 3 months the cushions in across the two main reclining zones have failed with a two inch height deferential between the center cushion and right seating position. The left seat position is also failing with an inch deferential as compared to the center seat cushion. Both side seats have developed cushion sag that causes the person to list to either the left or right depending on which seat a person is in. Photos of the problem were emailed to Dan at Bakers on Sept., 26, 2023. Workers from Bakers came within two weeks to examine problem, agreed that we had cushion failure in both seating and back support area. They had to refer us to the company that represents the manufacturer, Flexsteel. We e received a notice on Oct. 5, 2023 that material had been ordered to fix the sagging cushion problem. To date no cushion repair or company has contacted us, two additional trips were made to the Bakers location on Grant road, the first was a heated discussion with Dan the manager in charge of all furniture repair issues. A second follow up trip was made by Joseph Sierakoski on Nov. 2, 2023 in an attempt to speak to the store Owner Mr. Baker, who could not be found. Our salesman, James helped me and assured me on Nov. 2, 2023 that he would look into the issue and call me the next day as to our pending status as Dan was out sick. No call was made to me after 11 days. A new call was made Nov. 13, talked to Dan and no progress had been made yet. We desire to get a refund or replacement sofa for the defective one.

      In May 2021, my Sis and I each decided to purchase upholstered bed frames. She bought from EA but I decided to do business locally, because I had made three easy purchases from Baker’s in 2020. To fit the bed frame properly, she was offered a half dozen different profiles for the foundation. I was offered a standard foundation for 11 1/2” bedrails or a low profile (5”) foundation for the 8 1/2” rails that I ordered. Since I knew that the foundation on the floor model of the bed I ordered fit, I ordered a mattress and foundation from Baker’s. It had the 5” foundation. The delivery time for the bed frame was approximated at 4-6 months and the mattress set in 3 weeks. The sales person, Jill, called the bed maker, to ensure that the fabric I selected was available. It was and I put down a $1200 deposit. I also paid for the mattress set in full ($957.67). It was delivered in Summer 2021. With no prior updates, Jill called in September 2021 to say that the fabric that I selected for my bed frame was discontinued (???) and that she could cancel my order or I could select another fabric. Since the mattress set that I bought was specifically ordered to fit the ordered bed frame, I did not cancel but selected another fabric. I waited patiently, until Jun 2022, when Baker’s delivered a headboard and bed frame. It was beautifully made but was not the bed rails I ordered nor the feet that I ordered, as confirmed on the order form that I possess. The delivery men took the bed frame back and Jill indicated that Baker’s would not be reordering the bed. She indicated that my deposit on these items would be returned. I asked her for a refund on the mattress set that was purchased specifically to fit the bed frame that I ordered and would never get and I asked her to pick up that set so that I could purchase one that fits the upholstered bed frame that I am now forced to order from another furniture dealer. She refused. It’s been well over a year.
