  If you guys plan on purchasing a home through Opendoor Id advise you to think twice about it, we just purchased a home through them and we werent given keys to our community pool, they did not tell us what specific mail box we have. They gave us we are number 4 on the corner what corner is it? Im still unsure its been a week and still have no answer. Our realtor has shown us the screenshots of conversations hes had with Opendoor and we still don't have answers. It may seem like a small inconvenience but the fact is the community pool is the main reason I bought this house for my family and theyre claiming they didnt get keys or check the mail box, what good does that do when they either didnt give us the right mailbox number or key. Either way when it comes down to it having more clarity would change my mind on this review.

  We bought a house from open door in 2025. It had been on the market for months, we saw the red flags, but slim pickings in our area. They were extremely difficult to work with, unreasonable in the extreme when it came to repairs and negotiations, and were downright despicable on the repairs they did. They covered up mold, put an undersized ac unit in, and refused to let us complete repairs that needed to be done before move in. Avoid these guys at all costs, we will NEVER do business with this company again.

  Caution: Be Very Careful When Dealing with Opendoor In my experience, Opendoor has been incredibly dishonest and misleading. There are numerous reports and ongoing investigations into their questionable and potentially fraudulent business practicesfeel free to search online for more information. They do not honor the terms outlined in their contracts or written agreements. As a retired senior citizen, I never expected to face such a stressful and unfair situation. Its truly disappointing that a company would choose to risk legal action rather than simply stand by its word and do the honorable thing.

  They are big time cheaters. Offering a much lower price than the market value is understandable but on top of that they cheat you with fees ranging up to 10%. If they call themselves the direct buyer then why would you charge any fees. Guys unless you are in a distress to sell your property, look for other options, I can tell you that you will be getting much more return than what they give you finally. Be careful they are not an honest company.

  We bought a home with this company in March of 2024, 2 weeks later I start getting sick. They covered up black mold in every inch of the home they could. Our home is now torn apart because of remediations, and I have over $100,000 in hospital and doctors bills from it. DONT DO IT!

  Im a victim of fraud. Opendoor claims to own the home and a third party claims differently. Opendoor falsely representing a home.

  Their value estimations and repair estimates are borderline criminal, not at in line with fair valuation with any sense of reality. I recently had them value my house. They came back with an offer of 150K+ below market value.They are real estate predators. The repair listed on their appraisal was ridiculous, the house was build in 2023. There was no need for repair. Just like I stated, vicious predator. This company is only good for desperate people. YOu will never have a fair price, just lies....

  I'm a buyer's broker and my experience with Opendoor was abysmal. During the purchase process, someone had been scammed and moved into the house. They were able to do this because of opendoor's easy access. We had to have them removed by the police. During negotiations with Opendoor I was treated as if I was an idiot and they could pull one over on me. I assure you, I'm not an idiot. Each time they said they did a repair, it wasn't completed or was done poorly. They hired an electrician from ********** to replace and install a new electrical panel and mast for the house. He didn't finish the job before closing. Instead of extending closing, we got a bid from our trusted electrician to finish the job after closing and Opendoor only offered to pay for half the bid. They're not willing to pay for the jobs to be done right. I've never been happier to be done and closed on a house, simply so I can stop trying to have a human connection with Opendoor. They are a corporation that only sees people as numbers, not as people. I will highly recommend that no one buy a house from Opendoor unless it doesn't need any work done on it after inspections... unless you want to be disappointed with the results.

  Terrible company to purchase from in ******** - DO NOT USE THEM!! They listed a home for sale, accepted our full price offer, and then we had the inspection. The house needed a new roof, it was so old that insurance companies would not insure it so obviously, it needed to be done prior to closing. We had to request a new closing date due to the roof needing to be replaced first. They agreed to the extension in writing multiple times for over a week but kept coming up with excuses as to why the "signer" was out and couldn't sign. They then came back and said they would not honor the extension but that we could try submitting a contract after a week if they couldn't sell it after re-listing it. They also advertised the home with AC and during the inspection we discovered there was no AC unit and they would not give us a big enough concession to cover the cost of a unit or install one prior to closing. They also would not cover any additional needs on the inspection report. They were very difficult to work with and unethical. TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!!

  We requested an offer from Opendoor for our house which was on market for a few months , their offer was outright ridiculous ,insulting and unreasonable and clearly has a motive of taking advantage of People in need , Too bad for them we are not that desperate . They assessed the home and came up with $4500 repair costs in name of repainting the house and general cleaning , but the fact that my house is freshly repainted and they wanted to charge $4500 for a freshly painted house is deceiving and laughable . Their Motives are not right and their staff lack any ability to properly assess a home . Do not sell your house to these guys , there are many cash buyers in market who do not insult your home like these guys do . And the Opendoor Expert they connect you with is not an expert by any means neither in the way they handle customers nor analyzing a fair Price for the home .
