I purchased a pair of very expensive basketball shoes. They were advertised as the best fitting in the business. The company is based out of *****, or at least that's where the shoes are made. When they arrived, they were entirely the wrong size. Ther were advertised as a size 13, just as ordered. However, when measured, I discovered they were actually a 11.5 size. I contacted the merchant and was told they would not exchange or refund my money. The shoes were worn one time, and this was the basis for the rejected exchange. However, it took wearing them once to realize they were falsely advertised as a size 13, when in reality they were a size 11.5. I just want my money back after being ripped off.Initial Complaint

Product: "**** Shadow 6 Fantasy" basketball shoes Purchased:12/1/24 My granddaughter requested these shoes for her Christmas present. She used these shoes only once in competition. Her mother who accompanied her to the game told me that the shoes caused her daughter's feet pain and bleeding toes. Initially, I thought that the shoes were the wrong size but her mother explained that she had her daughter try the shoes before use ensuring all was fine with fit and comfort. However, actually playing in the shoes was perilous as she suffered pain and bleeding toes.Why did pain and bleeding toes occur if the shoes appeared to fit properly? On an examination of the internals of the shoe, I found that there is a plastic joint or seam forming a ridge across the upper toe box of the shoe. This area is thinly lined with no padding to protect the toes from rubbing against the plastic ridge. Thus, with running and jumping activities in a game there would be constant friction on the toes causing pain and bleeding. Obviously this is a design/construction flaw.This was reported to Way of Wade Support. They accepted the problem caused by their shoes and responded with: " We feel sorry for the problem caused and have reported this issue to our factory..." and "We apologize once again for the inconvenience you have experienced..." Yet, the company refuses to fully refund my payment of $128.83 and shipping cost for the return.Their offer is either I accept a $50.00 coupon or partial refund of $40.00 and in both cases I keep the unusable shoes. This they claim will help compensate my inconvenience or pay for repairs.Their adamant objection is that the shoes were worn. But if the shoes were not used for its intended purpose, we would not have discovered it can cause injury to the feet because of it's flawed design/ construction. Date of purchase: December 20, 2024 Item purchased: Way of Wade 11s (Cherry ******** size 11m / US purchase price: $225 With shipping and taxes : $271 Date item was received: 12/26/2024 Complaint: On January 12, 2025 my 13 year old son attended an AAU tryout and the right shoe broke in the toe section. About 4-5 inches of my childs foot was hanging out of the shoe. I contacted Way of Wade via email right after it happened. I told them what happened, sent photos and requested a replacement. Way of Wade responded 1/12/25 saying they opened a ticket and later the same night saying they were sorry. They asked if my son had any shoe shapers or carbon fiber soles and I replied no because I didnt know those things existed. They replied saying that I had 2 options. 1: get a $60 refund or 2: $70 credit I told them that was not acceptable. We had only owned the shoes 17 days and they look brand new. We want them replaced. They responded saying they understand and offered $10 more for the refund or $10 more in credit. At this point I either want the shoes replaced or a complete refund of the $271. My child has only worn the shoes 4 times. This is totally unacceptable. I ordered a pair of way of wade 12 statue shoes for $225, I recieved the shoes on Novemeber 17th, and the stitching came apart on both shoes after only 11 days of my son wearing them. I emailed the company and after some back and forth, and me providing photographs for evidence I was told they would send me a new pair of shoes(way of wade 10 low south beach) to replace the now unwearable ones. That was 6 days ago, and they have since stopped responding to my emails.Initial Complaint

I purchased a pair of shoes for 260$ and received them 11/5/24. Approx 1 week later the coloring on the shoes was peeling off. Contacted company and was told it was from wear and tear on the shoes (my son never actually wore them). Was given a 40$ credit and continued on. Now, 11/25 my son was running on the ** court and the entire front of the shoe busted open exposing his feet. Again, called the comp and was told I could take a 50$ credit or 40$ refund. I fortunately paid thru ShopPay and set up payments so I stopped payment on the shoes until I get a refund for the amount already paid and no longer will be charged for the shoes but this is UNACCEPTABLE business practice. They told me I could keep the shoes BUT THE ENTIRE TOE OF THE SHOES IS OPEN AND EXPOSED so what good is that???Initial Complaint

We bought a pair of basketball shoes that were delivered October 4th. On October 19th the shoe blew out completely in the first tournament ever used. I have a video that shows the shoe completely blowout. The sole came apart from the rest of the shoe. My son sprained his ankle because of it. I have it on video. I sent that video to Way of Wade and the said they would give $25 refund. That is unacceptable. We did nothing wrong and shoe fell apart within 30 days of purchase. My son placed order number ************* with this company via their website. He received confirmation that his shoes were delivered at 2:11am on 6/4. We live in a community that has cameras and is gated. There was no delivery attempt noted. We have made several attempts to contact them and phone number listed is does not appear to be a business and simply says "this mailbox is full". We are going to contact our card issuer and report this as fraud. The tracking number they emailed AND now the order number is coming up as 'unable to be located'.Initial Complaint

On 5/14/2024 I made a purchase of one pair of shoes. My boyfriend tried them on after receiving them, by putting them on and walking around the house. He realized he needed a half size smaller so we boxed them up and shortly returned them. Right away I made a new purchase for the smaller size. when the company received the shoes, they told me they were worn and dirty and couldnt be returned. They sent a picture that showed no damage at all. After several emails going back and forth, I opened a dispute with my credit card as I felt I was being scammed. Once I did that they offered a full refund if I cancelled the dispute. I did that, and now theyre saying the dispute is still in place and wont refund me. They have stopped responding to my emails for almost two weeks and when I try calling their customer support line it says the voicemail is full and hangs up. I just want my money back.
