On Tue Jan 2, I was contacted by ***** from cactus jacks, he was contacting me because I showed interest online to possibly purchase a vehicle from cactus jacks. I informed him I had a 3yo by myself and would be coming in the bus from a hr and a half away, and asked if I could start the process online so once I get there if Im approved, the process from there can be quick and painless. He sent me the credit application and I completed and submitted it along with all other requested documents. He called back saying I was approved and set a time for me to come In for 2:00. On the application I put down my down payment amount as $500, it also stated on the website that they accept $500 down payments. However once I get to the dealership, I was told they no longer sell cars for $500 down, that they require atleast $1000 down. I was told they no longer purchase the vehicles that they can do $500 down on because they kept breaking down. I asked why the website says they do $500 down payments if they dont anymore and I was told well we do accept $500 down payments if we have the car on the lot to do it with but he had just said we dont buy those cars anymore so thats a contradiction and false advertisement at best, you cant sell something you dont buy stock of so therefore you dont sell cars for $500 down because you dont buy those cars to sell anymore. Aside from the website saying they do something they clearly dont, my application that was approved stated $500 down payment, if they knew that they didnt have any $500 down cars on the lot, why didnt they tell me that on the phone knowing I was coming a hr and a half with a 3yo.
