      Our garbage can wasnt closed all the way and were being charged a fee. Called the customer service line and they were rude and informed that they werent able to waived the fee. We also asked to have our compose and garbage bins to be replaced. Three weeks later we finally got an answer. Worst customer service ever and worst service we ever received. We will be canceling the service.

      I have a few complaints. 1. Fuel charges? $35 or more. Ridiculous added on fee that was not disclosed up front when service was requested.2. Our recycle bin and trash was not picked on many occasions for our whole street. When I call for only the 5 houses on our street Im told that each individual household must call for a missed pick up. Ridiculous when all the cans are still out for pick up.3. We returned our recycle bin to the ************** facility ourselves (have the receipt) on June 25, 2025. We also paid for trash service for the months of July, August and September in advance. We received a past due bill in the mail later on. I called and it was all straightened out I was told. Today I received voicemail saying my bill is past due. It is pain in advance, not past due. Incompetence in the billing department. Proper training and accountability is direly needed in this company. Customers want honest, reliable service without having to constantly beg for it.

      I've been waiting weeks for trash bins to be delivered. I'm a new customer and just moved into my new place. I've escalated the matter quite a few times and it still hasn't yielded any results. They told me told me a multitude of things that just don't add up because my neighbors who moved in around the same time as me have their bins. I was told there's a strike going on, that a delivery was attempted and they couldn't find the exact address, then I was told the matter was expedited and a re-request for bin delivery was initiated, I was given a delivery date of 7-21-25 another on 7-29-25 and nothing came. The latest and greatest excuse is that there is now a shortage of trash bins to dispense. Senior advisors with relationship desk, ***** and ********* said they've been in touch with managers to prioritize getting my bins delivered right away. As of 7-30-25 I still have no trash bins. I moved in on 7-14-25 and have at least five escalation requests just to provide context to the situation. I don't know what else to do. This situation has never happened to me before and I've held an account with them previously in the ********* area with no issue.

      Would absolutely leave a zero star if possible. Been using their service for over 18 years. Throughout which have delt with several rate hikes. They refuse to come up our dead-end road to pick up trash. The recycle truck would do curbside though. So walking the heavy cans a quarter mile down to the end of the road every week was rough. And then constantly getting missed pickups. Didn't want to leave our full can in front of the neighbors house all week. So after waiting a couple days to see if they would do the missed pickup. You go down and drag the full cans back home. Only drag them back the next week and cross your fingers and hope they don't skip you again. And switched over to Total. So far no missed pickups at the end of my driveway for less then half the price of Republic. And Republic sent me a $227. **** for picking up their cans ridiculous. I would suggest looking into other services before you commit to this greedy company.

      Since August 19, 2021, when Republic Services collected one of my two trash carts at my Louisville address (to reduce my service and rate during COVID), I was charged for two carts despite placing only one cart curbside. The following month, my father suddenly died, I became an estate executor, and started a second job, so the overcharges continued until May 23, 2025, when I finally successfully complained enough to stop the overcharge.When I requested a credit for years of overcharges, Republic Services claimed I purchased a second industrial trash cart and used it for approximately 190 weeks (August 2021 April 2025). This claim is false and unsubstantiated.On June 27, 2025, I requested the following by a reasonable deadline of July 14, 2025:1. All billing records from August 2021 to present, as originally requested on April 25, 2025 2. Service logs showing pickups of two trash carts at my address from August 2021 to April 2025, covering the alleged 190+ weekly pickup of two trash carts 3. Documentation proving I purchased a second industrial trash cart, such as a purchase order, delivery record, or contract showing I acquired and agreed to use an additional cart 4. Service logs showing a site visit to my address sometime between August 20, 2021 and April 25, 2025, indicating that my address housed two industrial trash carts Upon making the request, I said: "your transparency now will help clarify Republic Services intent, especially given reported patterns of similar billing disputes."***** ******* of Republic Services never responded. I was knowingly overbilled, false claims were made to justify a refusal of a refund, and records were withheld in obvious bad faith.Due to the above-described behavior and other complaints as documented by the Better Business Bureau, it is my belief that Republic Services intentionally engaged in criminal THEFT BY DECEPTION (KRS *******) and DECEPTIVE PRACTICES (CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, KRS 367).

      This Company is a unreliable and a crooked. We where a customer for many years. The service was very unreliable. **************** has been extremely unreliable. I cancelled the service on 6/16 and have not received my refund nor the cans picked up. I have called numerous times and have been give excuses that are different each time. Now they want to charge me $30 per can to be picked up. The refund may show up in 6-8 weeks? We have found a different service that is half the price and to date has been very reliable.

      I have been charged $600 a year single trash can pick up!! Every other company charges $ 150 - $300. I called and cancelled and they found a special for $282. Said no thank you! Have been with them since 2016 autopay. That is robbery! No one should be charged that for a single can pickup. They wanted $ ***** to cancel and $ ***** to return the can. I am also a senior adult.

      After being a customer for 6 years, they just stopped picking up our yard waste service. Each time we called, they gave the same responsethe issue has been escalated and its scheduled for pick-up today. The driver is on their route. Total BS each time. Weve gone on 3 weeks of no pick up. We canceled our service and they didnt bother to refund us. Terrible customer service!

      This company operates as if consumer protection laws don't apply. Republic Services uses deceptive billing with hidden fees and unnotified rate increases, directly violating their MN Attorney General agreement and state transparency laws. Most notably, they've now told the City they believe its rate-approval code is invalida belief they somehow held for over a decade without ever informing the City, until now. Avoid if you expect honesty and compliance.

      Our neighborhood has been affiliated with Republic Services for 20+ years. The pickup service for garbage and yard waste has completely gone down hill in the past 2 years. We have had 6 missed pick *** since Jan 2025 thus far. **************** apologizes but there is almost never a solution. They tell us that the trucks will be out tomorrow to pickup the missed day - that never happens. If I had a choice (and I dont), I would never use them again.
