Contacted the national call center to add a salt cell to our pool. They offered free installation and I agreed to pay for a site inspection. Once complete I agreed to move forward with the proposal. When I placed the order with the call center a couple hours after the site survey they informed me installation was not free. After several phone calls over the next week and promises a managers (both corporate and regional) would call me back, I have still not received a response. The call center is terrible. I called the local service tech that did the site survey and he ensured me the install would be free. I picked the equipment up at the local Leslie shop in ******* and that group were outstanding. If I could give two reviews, ****** Corporate would be zero stars and the ****** local team would be 5 stars. The leadership at corporate really need to train their mid managers and call centers on customer care.Leslie's Response

Hello David. We apologize for the frustrations regarding this order. We did have a promotion that was $99 install which ended but we honored this promotion for you. I see notes on the order that the Service Leadership Team also provided additional appeasements. We purchase a $6,000 pook heat pump from Leslies last year (13 months ago). It came with a 5 year warrenty. Our pool tech let us know that he believes we need a new fan motor as it is not working. Leslies said they only maintain the records for 1 year and they also made my husband call the manufacturer. After nearly two more transfers and 3 hours invested my husband has only managed to find out that there is only one person in the entire *********** authorized to do warranty work on our pool heat pump. Our experience with the Purchase and install was just about as bad. Customer ********************** has been horrid. Employees no nothing and retaining customers sales information for major purchase for only one year when there is a 5 year warranty is horrific. I wish i could give negative stars.Leslie's Response

Leslie's Poolmart is making misleading advertisements. I received an advertisement from them to buy a pool heater at 20% off the regular price and to receive free installation. I responded by hitting the "Shop Now" button and bought the heater for a total of $3049.70, tax and freight charges included. The website then directed me to my local store to schedule the installation. I tried to schedule the installation on line but failed. I then went to my local store (store #**) to schedule the installation. I was told I had to pay an additional $188.56 to pay for the materials needed for installation and an additional $45 for a site inspection. For some stupid reason, I agreed to the materials charge. However, I objected to the inspection charge. That same morning in discussions with Leslie's Poolmart, I failed to persuade them to waive the inspection fee. I then told them to cancel the order and they told me the item had already shipped.I think they were lying to me about the shipping status, but My complaint is that they sold the product to me and THEN told me about the additional installation charges surrounding the FREE INSTALLATION. Their advertisement of FREE Installation was FALSE.Leslie's Response

Well they did it again. Leslies website has the Korky 528 float valve for $23.00 in stock in Surprise. Went to pick up and they were out? I was told the site doesnt updated? But I could drive 40 minutes away to Glendale and get one. Drove there but the part is now $41.99? $18.00 more that the website and the quote from their Surprise store. When questioned I was told thats how it scans. ***** disappointed with them.Leslie's Response

I ordered a pool online from Leslie's on about 6/28/23. I was told it would be delivered 7/19/23. then it was the 7/21. I called a few days later and got someone who spoke almost English, and she told me it would be there in 2-4 weeks. I then called the next day and asked where it was coming from. I'm not sure if she said ********** or *******. And Leslie's would send me an email. Well that never happened. Then I find out the money has been returned to my account, of course no email telling me this. Last week, I believe August 25, I called again and asked about my order and told them I noticed the money. I was told by the guy on the phone who spoke no better English than the last one, that he would be back to me in 48 hours. Well, it's Aug. 31, 2023, and nothing!!! I will never order any type of pool from them!! Service sucks!!!! We had ordered a pool from the company years ago and had absolutely no problem. Very upset about their service.Leslie's Response

I tried to use their pool service but was unable to even schedule a appointment. Their service number seems to be seperate from the person who actually sets the appointment. No matter my availablity their scheduler seems to choose a day/time that I told them I was not available. This happened multiple times. What a joke. Its not that hard of a process to be a able to schedule a appointment. To bad ,I like the stores and the people who work at them as they are very helpful and knowleadgeable. Not sure if the service department is actually any good but the peoplet that work the phones and are running their operations don't know what they are doing.Leslie's Response

After purchasing equipment from their store I also purchased the service for the installation. On the day of installation I received a call that the manager didnt want the technician to complete my job. I did get a refund but now I am stuck trying to find another company to come out. If I knew this I would have not purchased my equipment from them.Leslie's Response

Over Memorial Day Weekend I bought a pool online from Leslies. Putting it slowly together I realized that I was two caps short...I called and received them a few days later.I had over 207 perk dollars so made an online order on August 8th for a pool brush. The web site said in stock and that I could pick it up in the ******** store later that day. I received an email a few hours later that they were out of stock. Checking back on the web site Leslies did not give me back the perk bux. I was told that within ***** hours I will get them back. I figured let me use the last of the perk bux and never return to the website so I ordered chlorine. The website said it would be delivered to me on August 10th. On August tenth I went to the web site to check on the delivery and found out the order was cancelled BUT I was never notified. Also the rest of my perk bux was gone. I again chatted with a representative and asked to get back the perk bux. I was told oh here is a case number and we will get back to you ***** hours. Checked again the next day and still nothing. I was told the order was cancelled because it was a "Daily order". I asked what that means and did not get a reply. My pool needs chlorine, guess I have to go to ********** and spend money I should not have. I have kept the transcripts of the chats since I do have questions on what I was told. Its friday 8/11 at 3pm so I guess maybe Leslie's decided not to work on Friday.If I ever get my perk bux back I will try and use them up and then never go to leslie's again.Leslie's Response
