Lies, fraud and manipulation! The Supervisor manipulated my wife who had to be home alone with them by using scare tactics about our septic system being destroyed and needing to be replaced. (A ****** dollar operation). My wife and I started to get a bad feeling about these guys and midway through the work we had an independent contractor who has been in the industry for 25+ years come and give us a second opinion. Thank goodness we did, because thats when the veil of lies that had covered us had been lifted. Our system wasnt in shambles like they said and our tank only needed minor repairs. The entire contract should have cost around $3500.00, Rooter Ranger inflated that cost to double the honest price, which now were stuck with. Even in our attempts to get it lowered to a more manageable price NONE of management was willing to help! I had called multiple times trying to talk to someone and I just keep getting another number to call or a someone will call you back and they never do. I advise anyone to never use this company! They will just blatantly lie and rob you!

We take customer concerns very seriously and have reviewed this matter thoroughly. Rooter Ranger does not engage in scare tactics, nor do we intentionally inflate pricing. All recommendations provided are based on the conditions observed during our inspection and the professional opinion of our licensed ************** this case, our team assessed the septic system and presented repair options along with associated costs prior to starting any work. The customer approved the scope of work and pricing before the project began. All work was completed in accordance with industry standards. While we understand the customer sought a second opinion that differed from our technicians assessment, repair approaches and pricing can vary depending on the providers evaluation, methods, and materials used. Our pricing reflects the quality of workmanship, warranty coverage, and service we provide. We regret the customer feels dissatisfied and invite them to contact our management team directly so we can address any outstanding concerns in good faith. Read better business reviews before hiring this company, they are crooks as the other reviewer said. We had a consult done back in June 2025, advertised price for starting $33 for a drain or clog removal. So they dispatched someone out, they sent us someone with barely any knowledge of the issue. We had no vent. So they cannot do it the easy way so let me get my supervisor over and he said IF we use a camera to look and fix the pipe it would be $199 pricing and the issue would be taken care of my supervisor has more experience than I do so let me get him to come over. Thats the thing the techs say so they can start adding charges for nothing, we didnt know the tactics they use. Supervisor came over DID NOT use a camera to look at anything he visually looked at everything quoted us thousands saying we need new piping this and that, we told them we didnt have the money so not a options at this time, then came the payment plan and credit offers. We politely declined all of it and asked him to send us the quotes, to text and email. Which he said he would. A month later were getting invoice and demands for $199 payment for not doing anything. Just basic consult. Filed complaint 07/15

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. Were truly sorry to hear about your experience and any confusion surrounding the service visit.

Our $33 drain special applies to accessible and standard drain clearing jobs, and during our technicians visit, it appears your property had venting complications that made a basic snaking attempt ineffective. When issues like this arise, we often recommend involving a supervisor for further assessment, which can include additional diagnostics depending on the situation.

We understand your frustration if the camera inspection was discussed but not completed, and we take that feedback seriously. That said, the $199 charge you referenced is our standard diagnostic fee when our senior technician is dispatched for a full system evaluation, even if the repair work is ultimately not performed.

That fee should have been clearly communicated before proceeding, and if it was not, we sincerely apologize. Additionally, if you were promised a written quote and never received one, that is also not in line with the level of service we strive to deliver.

We would like the opportunity to look into this further and resolve it appropriately. Please contact us at ?? ************ or ?? ******************************** with your job or invoice number so we can assist you directly.

Thank you again for the feedback it helps us improve.

Worst company ever. Needed simple drain cleaning; advertised as $33. When *** arrived I wasn't sure of where clean out was and was told they don't dig around to locate that going on the roof was only option. Went on roof after sitting in A/C truck for ***** min; ran auger through one spot; came into bathroom and flushed. You could see NO water was going down. Then proceeded to blaze shower on high.... no one does this. It's obvious if the water didn't go down in the toilet it wasn't going to go down in the shower. Then ran auger through other stack which was after another 15 min of sitting in the A/C truck. Again flushed toilet which immediately backed up into the already full garage shower. By the time he left, the garage floor was filled with water. He then told me I needed all new drains. The bill around $400 far cry from the $33 advertised price I was told he wouldn't charge. He accomplished nothing; poor customer service. Do not do any business with this company.

Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration it caused. What youve described is not the level of service we strive to provide, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

Our $33 advertised special applies to standard and accessible drain cleanings, and we always aim to communicate clearly when additional work or access (like rooftop entry or diagnostic testing) may be required due to the unique layout of a property or the severity of the issue. However, you should never be left unclear about pricing or next steps.

We also understand your concern about the water being run in the shower during testing. In many cases, our technicians will test different fixtures to determine the extent of a clog or backup, but this should be done carefully and responsibly. If water backed up into your garage as a result, we sincerely apologize that should not have happened.

Regarding the final cost and diagnosis, we are especially sorry if you were told there would be no charge, and then later received a bill for around $400. That is not acceptable if it wasnt made clear and agreed upon. Wed like to look into this further and resolve it appropriately.

Please contact us at ?? ************ or ?? ******************************** so we can review the service file and work toward a fair resolution.

We value all feedback positive and negative as it helps us improve and be accountable.

Roto ranger did some work on our basement drain and I thought the price was a little high but the work was done professionally. Very satisfied. The same drain began doing the same thing as before. We called and **** came out. He showed us the problem. Dog hair in the secondary drain cover had accumulated and blocked the flow. He demonstrated how to check on it and how to clear it. I would recommend the business and if you are fortunate enough to have **** come out, Im sure you will not be disappointed.

I wish I had looked at this site when I was having drain line problems. My story is very similar to the problem reviews listed here. One person came and took everything apart to try and clear my drain line. When that didn't work he called a supervisor who had a camera to snake thru the pipe which confirmed my guess that I had a tree root problem. Now came the hard sell canned speech about cost and financing. The starting charge for replacing about 45 feet of pvc drain pipe was around $15,000. My wife and I are in our 70's so we went into sticker shock so he started his used car sales speech and the price came down to $9,000. At this point I felt I was between a rock and a hard place and agreed to finance the amount thru their finance company. We were promised a crew would be out the next day with heavy equipment and the job would be done in a day or two. The crew ended up being one man who was in his second day with the company, a shovel, a saws all and axe. He dug and chopped for 3 solid days and did a great job completing the job virtually by himself. One man $9,000 in my opinion is a little steep. I also have never received an invoice of what was done, cost or warranty in spite of several calls asking for one. So far everything is working thanks to the one new guy working hard to do the right thing. *. ******

Dear Mr. ******************* you for taking the time to share your experience. First and foremost, we want to sincerely apologize for the stress and confusion you and your wife endured throughout the process. Thats never the experience we want any customer especially those trusting us with such an important and costly home repair to have.

Rooter Ranger came to my house because I have an inoperable shower. They said they need to charge $200 to video the plumbing underneath and that they will send me the video so that I can see what the problem is and that they will send me an estimate. They charged my credit card, did a quick 30 second calculation on their iphone calculator and said the repair will be $11,000 and then never sent me a video or an estimate. I let them know I need to see a detailed estimate if I'm going to pay $11K for something. That's the price of a car. For them to throw out $11K in one minute of typing on their iphone calculator with zero, measurement or details of what the work will be is so unsettling and felt so violating. I have emailed them twice, texted twice and called twice. Never received the video or a written estimate. I finally had to pay another company to do the work for me and have started a dispute with my credit card company for the $200 they have charged me without anything provided and because at this point they cannot provide anything since I have already had the issue repaired by another company after waiting 2 weeks with an inoperable shower and zero replies to my emails, texts and phone calls. Someone named ****** Beebe texted twice to ask then I wanted to schedule the work for the estimate. I replied twice and said I never received the estimate and to please send it with the video I paid for and he never responded. It's clear he would have only responded if I said I wanted to pay him $11K.

We deeply regret the experience youve described and sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused especially given the urgency of your situation and the importance of a functioning shower.

Your concerns are absolutely valid. Charging for a video inspection and failing to provide that video or a written estimate does not reflect our standards of professionalism, communication, or customer care. We understand that $11,000 is a significant investment, and you deserve a full explanation of what the scope of work entails, how the pricing was determined, and all supporting documentation especially before being asked to proceed.

We are currently reviewing this matter internally to understand where the breakdown occurred. In the meantime, we would like to resolve this with you directly. Please reach out to us at:

When you contact us, please include the address of service and the name on the original appointment so we can look up your file immediately.

We are also aware youve had to dispute the charge with your credit card company, and we will cooperate fully with that process. However, wed still like to make this right on our end if possible.

We appreciate your honest feedback it highlights areas where we need to improve and reminds us of the responsibility we have to every customer who opens their home and trust to us.

These people are crooks. They advertise 33 minutes or it's free first time I use them. They didn't show up till 4 hours later. They wanted to up charge for a simple drain clean out. If I wasn't at the property they would have tried to charge me an arm and a leg but I was there and I would not allow them to do that. So they called me after apologizing gave me a $50 credit so I use them on my property a second time and they were unable to complete the job. They wanted to charge me $2,200 for a simple hard blockage. They said they needed to jet the lines which is b******* I went out the next day snaked it out myself took me about 15 minutes. This place is a scam. Do not bring your business to them. They will charge you for things that you do not need I feel like a company like this needs to be held accountable for their scams that pulling on people

They have no integrity at all, these individuals will tell you one thing but does another. Never on time for the job, never cleans up after them self. Make sure you deal with your insurance before they start. Do not let them. They said $27000 to do all my plumbing and put the house back together. After the plumbing was done they walked out and I had to hire independent contractors to finish the house. $47000 later its together. Beware of the company. They told me they will deal with my insurance company and no money out of my pocket, 3 days later they were knocking on my door and threatening to put a lean on my house. Get a second opinion before you let them do any major work!!! Id give a zero star if it was possible!!!

Just Called Rooter Ranger for a tenant for a slow filling toilet to change/adjust the fill valve. The guy quoted $849 for changing a $8 fill valve. He also said will also adjust the bolts. For a ***** minute process of shutting down water supply to the toilet and replacing the fill valve, $849 is the most outrageous price someone can ask. It does not seem from this guy/company is from this planet. These people think that the customer is ignorant and stupid. I strongly suggest that never call/hire Rooter Ranger Plumbing. You can not post without giving one star. I will also report to the BBB if this company is a member.
