Rooter Ranger is billing for breaking into foundation and replacing sewer pipe. Those services were never performed by this company. Manager was supposed to come scope line to confirm line was open and running after work completion, Manager never showed but signed off on the job saying that he checked it and all was good. I called and scheduled for someone to come out and scope like I was told would happen, but no one showed up. I made another appointment for the same thing and when calling the morning of, there was no record of any appointment being scheduled. I ultimately went with another plumbing company to have this work done, which I have a paid invoice for. No paperwork or invoice was shown at the end of service, It took several weeks of asking for an invoice before one was finally emailed to me. I have been trying to get this invoice corrected, but cannot get anyone to call me back. I keep being told that the manager reached out to me, but to this day I have had no such contact. Original plumber ******* pushed to use insurance and to involve Quick Restore for water damage that had only resulted from him cracking our drain pipe going into the wall. There was never the same person in my house twice, always someone new. This feels like both rooter ranger and Quick Restore hand work back and forth, and we fell victim to this the night before thanksgiving. We are now past the two month **** dealing with all of this, and I feel like I am not being taken seriously and I am just being fed lip service. ***** in the ************ does not return calls and also states someone will get back to me within the hour, but again they never follow through.

Here is an account of the conversation and steps of everything that has transpired over the job and things I recall that were suppose to happen and didnt as far as I notated.Rooter Rangers Field Manager ******************* ************ Manager ***** - ************ ************************************** ************ The night Rooter Ranger came out, Thursday January 18, **** 6:10pm (*****?) went through and tried to clear our pipes in guest bathroom and master, seeing the flooding in the bathrooms, hall, and master bedroom. He contacted ******************* - Field Manager Rooter Rangers to run a camera to look deeper at the problem inside the pipes. Rooter Rangers requested I witnessed the video as they shoved the camera through the clean-out in front of our property. While showing me, he said I could have a copy of the video, that he would send it to me, I never got a copy. (Same with the kitchen pipes.) The suggestion was you need to do what is called, Pipe Bursting, the pipes are like flushing soft tissue/toilet paper through a riverbed of gravel, it wont float through it, it will just collect and back up again. (Never explaining you could just do the high pressure pipe cleaning.) scare tactic one!I asked if they would explain this with my Husband around so he could hear and understand all that they were explaining. As they were explaining the same situation, and their solution, never was the high pressure cleaning suggested as our first option. We asked if we did the Pipe Bursting would it clear out the pipes for good. They said yes for around 15 plus years you would be good. We agreed to do it, as we believed it was the only option they could do, asking what about using the bathrooms and showers in the meantime? They said they could get their guy out here to high pressure the pipes to clear it out so we could use the bathroom while they are bursting the pipes, that they would leave on bathroom available to use while they Pipe Bursted. That is only mention of high jet powered clearing of the pipes and said it would be $1395, but since we were going to Pipe Burst, they would toss that in so we could use the bathrooms. *Why wasnt this the first option then?Dates they could start, right away, and we explained that we both work from home and NO NOISE could be generated while working and that the project would start on Friday, but he would just prepare the house, but he was cutting the walls and making noise to the very room **** worked in. NOT OK! Their employee stopped after I texted **** to have them stop, so the employee *** laid paper to down the hall, to the bathrooms, over the damaged floor in the master. *** would come back at 8:30AM on Saturday the 20th to start demo of areas to connect pipes after Pipe Bursting. Areas they needed access to connect pipes:1. Guest Bedroom Closet 3x32. Guest bathroom under vanity 3x33. Master Bathroom wall, (cutting the structure walls to put pipe behind drywall)4. laundry under washer 5. Outside areas, cutting into front siding, digging large hole , and outside wall and ground by kitchen. The entire process of the deconstruction of the project happened before the test results were provided. The first guy that showed up on Thursday night said and I quote, "we will cover the areas with plastic, and put up tape to keep the areas contained. While digging and tearing down the areas, don't worry....." We were in the home for the three days while the walls were cut into and the air was in circulation by then HVAC. Rooter Rangers employee (***) wasn't even prepared with proper breathing equipment during the demo of the drywall and he was cutting without any protection for himself or us (I have sleep apnea and use a machine which also was right by the bathroom door opening so I breathed in this material each night we slept there), none of the areas were blocked off with plastic like we were told they would be. None of it was put up, or kept up. The guest bedroom was temporarily, but not in the bathrooms. ***** Dry ********************************* Came in with equipment: Two dehumidifiers One air scrubber Signed off on them leaving equipment. The guys needed power plugs said they could not use bathrooms GFCI plugs. Had to plug their equipment around the house and tape the cords down not giving doors full ******* access. The air scrubber was not plugged in at all for two days. Same days they were breaking into the walls and ground (tiles, concrete, dirt) The tester from ***** Dry came every day to test. Still not plugging in. Second day their rep came by. ******. ****** did his tests, told me what they would do, that they needed someone to come out and run an asbestos test. Was a different company. They would call later today Element Building Sciences Asbestos testing company from Element Building Sciences came out, during a weekday (Friday) we made sure to be clear that no noise could be made. They were chiseling and banging. Had written to ask the company to not do this. He didnt have the right equipment to break through the tile for test samples. So, I had to get him a diamond tile bit, asked if he had the drill to use, he said yes but then it wasnt strong enough and so I got my hammer drill and I had to get the sample for him as he couldnt use the bit to get it. He got the samples and then said it would take a few days to get the asbestos results. Meanwhile the walls were already being cut into on Saturday and Sunday. I had to continue to empty spaces when he asked me to instead of giving me a fair warning. We were not sure what to do with installing the water heater and softener. We asked for a better price. You said you would ask but not sure, it was the best you could offer.. You came by the house, we discussed the price, and why we wanted a better price, you said you would call as you did in front of us. We were still negotiating the price of the project asked to added a water softener and U-pipe. This is when you sold us a new water heater because it wasnt a good idea to get a water softener with a used and possibly corroded water heater. So instead of just one thing you sold us the whole entire job, but we did shop this around to find better pricing. We were very cautious to pay the total of $32k and got you to lower the price to $28.500. . (Monday Jan 22, ****) Your boss accepted our price, we signed the contract again, you said this would be the last change to this project as you were leaving for vacation. Said I would be handled under your boss ***** and if we needed anything to talk to him for anything. **** and I did discuss my frustration with the handling and lack of customer checkoff list to empty areas that were needed, i suggested you create a document for that for customers so it wasnt so stressful. Deconstruction was all happening, no knowledge of asbestos tests still, walls still being broken into, nothing was closed in to contain anything and we were still in our home without knowledge of the tests. Monday evening around 3pm the test results were reported to be positive. I was very concerned that we were in our home for these past few days of tear down without protection, living and sleeping in our home, our animals and we were now breathing in the particles and fragments left over from the cutting, and breaking of the areas for repair. I immediately contacted my adjuster at Farmers, he told us we needed to leave the home and he would contact his boss to get approval of a hotel, he said we shouldnt be breathing in any of the air, I asked him, isnt that a bit too late already? We have been here during this whole time. The ***** Dry Restoration people said that they couldnt do anything to help us anymore and that this would be handed off to Alliance, the people who would be removing the asbestos. They schedule for guys to come by and pick up the equipment they left, Remember the air scrubber wasnt running the majority of the time, until that morning on Monday the 22nd. It was also in the entry of the house, not even close to the bathrooms where the asbestos was broken into. We also had our HVAC running, now aware it was spreading the asbestos throughout the house. Both my husband and I were starting to get scratchy throats, and headaches, complaining and only at the time assuming it was all of the noise and stress of all these people in and out of the house. Alliance - ********************* - ************ On Wednesday Jan 24th, 3:09PM i was texted by Abatement that they talked to my insurance adjuster to get the asbestos removed. She said she needed to come by to see the spaces that were to be removed, that ***** Dry handed off images for her to have, scheduled her to come by, Rooter Ranger was there, she could see the spaces and use the door code I provided for her. Got a text message that they would start on Friday the 26th and scrub down and get ready for the removal of the asbestos because the plumbers were suppose to be finishing their part of the job by then as the pipe bursting only happened that Thursday the the 25th. Contract said they would close off the areas to scrub and contain the asbestos. I stopped by the house on Saturday the 26th to see that my entire master bathrooms contents were left on my patio in the back yard, not covered, or protected, contents from the medicine cabinets were in plastic bags just on the ground, and the vanity was pushed and leaning against my patio post, along with my sink broken and on the ground, the glass from the shower was leaning and pushing against the vanity, and my tools, wood, and other items had been knocked off my miter saw and fell, on the sink. Reaching out to Alliance / **** on Saturday showing them images of what had happened, I was rudely told I was Blowing up her phone and disrupting her weekend with her family. Mind you I was instructed to reach out, At any time. I was told my stuff would be respected, i was telling her out of my frustration my belongings were left on the patio outside, not covered, or protected, broken, and my barn door to my bathroom was leaning on a post outside as well, all accessible to nature, as that area of my back yard floods when it rains and we were just ending a weather front that came through. In closing:1. I feel i was upsold instead of just resolving what I needed; my pipes to be cleared so I could use my bathroom, and showers. 2. I was told they were the only ones who did Pipe Bursting, which isnt the case in *********. 3. 3. The promise of containing and protecting my home from harmful settlements and particles never happened, none of us were told to protect ourselves, we were in the home when harmful asbestos was cut into and left to just float freely in my home. 4. I was upsold again on my request for a water softener 5. ***** dry Restoration never plugged in equipment to air scrub anything harmful in my home for two days of most of the demo. The agent lied to my insurance adjuster saying i never shared his info, in which i did through a text that was confirmed by ****** when I did it. 6. What was supposed to be a weekend job, is still going on and its January 28th.7. I was treated poorly, along with my property by Alliance, and the agent never instructed me that the info or number she provided to me wasnt to be used over the weekends. Was also told that they are only removing 3 of asbestos, not all of it. They are not fixing or removing the flooring that was damaged from the **** water in my master bedroom, or the tile in the hallway. I am not sure what they are doing from the flooding in the guest bathroom. NO one has given me a clear understanding of the scope of work, and exactly what is being done. 8. There is leaking in my guest bathroom from plumbing, the water pressure is horrible, my irrigation system is no longer working in the front yard. 9. I am in a hotel for another week without any updates, I have to keep going back to the house to check to see what is going on as I am always left in the dark without any assistance or guidance from anyone, insurance, alliance, rooter rangers. 10. My house is contaminated from asbestos, sewage odor. I will be contacting insurance adjuster about all of this. I feel like this was a rushed up-sale job and I feel that this all wasn't necessary knowing the pressure water jet could have given us some more years to do the research and make better choices to get the proper quotes from others in the area doing the same services. You said and I quote, "no one else does this in town." Which wasn't true. A sales and scare tactic used to give those in desperate situations a bit of fear to rush and decide to use the services you offered. Along with your suggesting to contact ***** Dry right away. your words "use these guys (***** Dry Restoration) in sync to get your insurance claim taken care of. You won't need to worry about things, they will do the work for you."I believe the ethics used by Rooter Rangers isnt honest, or in the best interest of the home owners. I feel there is a benefit to you if you hand off and suggest the services of ***** Dry. It doesnt all feel good to me at the moment. I feel like you put us and your own employed in health danger of being contaminated by ******** without waiting for the test results. Thank you for being attentive, and available to us through this, but there are things that are not adding up properly,All the best, Topher ***************************

I needed my soil line replaced, after the concrete pour back rooter ranger asked if I could pay the concrete company, which I did. That invoice included concrete cutting and removal and concrete pour back, that came to 10K. I get my invoice from rooter ranger and I see a charge for $14350.00 for concrete cutting, $2,400.00 for concrete removal. They also had a charge of $14950.00 for concrete pour back but since I paid the concrete company they took that charge off claiming I saved nearly $5000. So they billed $16750.00 for work they didn't do. They claim they give military, ex military, and seniors a discount. When I added the line items up it didn't match there total. When I subtracted the line items from the total, I have a $12,700.00 difference and no line item for it. When I look at the second page I see a discount for $12,700.00 so they added the discount to the invoice before they subtracted it, so there is no discount. Who knows how much more they padded there pricing.

We started doing business with rooter ranger in 2020 when we had a clog in our plumbing. They came out handled business and fixed our plumbing after 15k in work with warranty. 2021 came along and we had another clog and they came out and did another 10k in repairs with warranty and said we should have no further issues. 12/30/2022 we had another clog, called them out which took them 8 hours of s******* around to get someone out here, they cleaned it out and realized the work the people did in 2021 was done incorrectly and they need to fix it under warranty. We have since called, text and checked in and have been blown off for over 3 weeks. We are constantly told that someone is on schedule and no one ever comes out. We need this fixed ASAP. I want the repairs done, I want copies of all our paperwork and we want some sort of compensation.

Rooter ranger technician came out on Saturday November 26th to service my outside faucet that had a leak and the shut off valve handle that was broken and needed to be replaced. He quoted me $1000 which I thought was kind of high but needed to get it fixed and one plumber already cancelled on me due to time constraints. When he called his boss to confirm the price the boss said it would be $1100. When he replaced the parts and turned the water back on the water started leaking from the backflow pressure pump so he added on another $1000. He said the pump alone is $250. I found the same exact part online for $90. I called and got a quote from another plumber for $1000 and he said that was padding it. The technician did not have his Ipad so he called to give them my payment over the phone. When I received my invoice at 5:30 on Sunday the technician had already left. When I looked at the invoice they had a completely different job on the details of work performed. It referenced cutting out drywall, rerouting up and over feed of new water line downstairs (my house is single level) and mentions water softener which I dont have. I called Monday morning and was told they would escalate to dispatch and have someone call me back. I didnt receive a call so I called again on Tuesday at noon and spoke to ****. He said he would make sure I received a call back to rectify the issue and address my concerns. I feel like the company took advantage of me because I am a women and I lack the knowledge on plumbing so they charged me twice the amount that it should have costed using inflation as an excuse. I have done my research on the parts and I know for a fact I was overcharged. Invoice # ********. I would like the company to rectify this issue.

This company took advantage of a situation that I was in that if not fixed I would have had no running water in my house, they knew I was at their mercy. On November 16, 2022 I was looking for a leak in my irragation system and stumbled upon discovering a poor design to get water to my system and to my house. Basically I had to change out the main water supply from the street to my house. All they had to do because I had already done all the excavating and exposed the problem, all Rooter Ranger had to do was attach a two foot 3/4 pipe from the water supply at the front of my house to the main pipe that supplied water to my house, thats it. $625 dollar was the charge for about $50 worth of material ($625 of 2ft of 3/4 pipe - reconnection to provide water service)this is what the invoice said, nothing else. No explanation of what materials cost, the labor fee nothing just $625 for 2ft 3/4 pipe to restore water service. At the time I was desperate and they knew that, if they didn't complete the work I would have no water through out my house. I am a military veteran, I did 22 years in the navy and this was an outrageous amount that was charged. I even called them the day after to ask them if they could refund me the amount I would have gotten if I had told them I was a military veteran, which I believe is 10% off, I never received any call back after speaking to one of their represenatives. I also left a review in which I was contacted I believe from their corporate head quarters in which she said, "I will look into this and you should receive a call shortly from someone concerning this matter", that call never happened nor did I receive any type of corespondence from anyone. I can't believe their are companies such as this one who just doesn't care about the people and they understand the severity of the situation and take full advantage of it by charging an outrageous amount.

On October 4th at a prescheduled appointment I had Rooter Ranger of ********** remotely access my condo to move the washer and dryer connection to a lower location so we could install a counter in our laundry room. I reside in ***********, ** currently and the unit is vacant to be sold soon. The technician left the water running in the master suite bathroom when draining the lines, but did not turn them off. Two weeks later I was apprised of the situation when a painter for the buildings HOA came to my unit to paint the doors. The unit was not only unlocked, but extremely humid and he found water condensation dripping from the ceilings and doorways and piping in the unit. He discovered two sink faucets and the shower running in the master bathroom. I called Rooter Ranger and several times they were supposed to have a manager call and the did NOT. I have yet to recieve photos of the damage although I have requested them 3 separate times from ****. The restoration company did inform me of damage to flooring and paint on ceiling, etc. I have now recieved communication from HOA regarding my responsibilities for the additional water which was calculated to over ***** gallons. Now I additionally have water damage to my unit and I am out **** plus the damages, the additional ***************, the additional electric, the vent cleaning etc. So who is above ****? I have been getting run around for 2 weeks. Now when I file a complaint it turns out **** is the boss of the call center and calls me back with an attitude because I complained about her. I call back and was informed his hands were tied because she was his boss.
