    Our house purchase in 2020 came with ********************** for 1 year, the best package you could get with them, all provided by the previous homeowners.Come Dec 2020, our downstairs heat stops blowing. Our warranty calls out Cowboy Cooling who looks and initially calls it a bad blower motor. Said the motor needs to be replaced, BUT also noted the heat exchanger is rusted out. He recommended we do the entire furnace. I called the warranty company to let them know so we could see if it was covered. Not only was it not covered, they wouldn't cover anything because Cowboy Cooling said the 40 year old furnace and blower motor failed due to "dust in the system, lack of maintenance". That's right. A 40 year old blower motor rated for 15-ish years of operation failed due to lack of maintenance! Needless to say, I was upset but completely missed the red flag of them telling my warranty company something they didn't tell **** ended up going with them to replace my entire furnace. By Jan 2021, the furnace was installed and working. Come April 2021, I take a vacation. Upon returning, my family greets me and my wife with news that we have no gas. On April 21, 2021, my family wen to water our plants. They were met with a "wall of gas" so thick you could smell it from the driveway and mail box. They called Centerpoint who traced the leak to the brand new furnace. Turns out, they skipped over an old rusted valve and just put a new pipe leading to a newer, in-code valve that supplied the gas and called it good. Obviously the old valve began leaking gas and would have blown up the house had I not turned off the A/C system while I was gone, per Centerpoint.I had to have another company come out and perform the repairs, which they confirmed the old valve was not replaced and they just installed a new line to a newer valve so the unit would be up to code. Since then, it took multiple calls to the Owner, the company, and the Wife/Co-Owner before they would even hear my case. It is now November 15th 2021, the wife of the Owner has said they "have not received any emails" despite me forwarding the information contained in the write-up from another company detailing the damages, they do not return my phone calls, and have even ignored them after a few rings.
