      I contacted Delta Mechanical thru ********** about a hot water replacement in my home. Their rep came out and quoted approx $2800. When the installer came out, he looked at the system and said he had to replace the venting to bring it up to city code, at an additional cost of about $900, which he said he could discount by $100. I said no dice and he left. Unfortunately, I was compelled to use them anyway and okd the piping cost. When the project was complete, I had the city inspector come out. He Okd the install. I asked him if it was necessary to change the piping to come up to code. He looked at the manual and said absolutely not. Delta has refused to own up to their tactics, saying only that the grade of piping that was in place was a substandard grade for the new tank. Of course, they walked off with all the piping they took down, so they cant prove or disprove their contentions. They did not even offer the original discount of $100. When I had to have them back out to fix a minor leak, I discussed the piping with them, including the inspectors statements. They only said, Sorry about that. Additionally, while hauling the new tank into my house, the guy severely damaged a decorative slate step at the front door. And he turned on the water to the outdoor sprinkler system which was drained for the season. All I was asking for is half of the piping cost in refund. The lady I talked to on the phone from Delta offered me $75, but as of this writing, I have not seen it. So I am out at least $900 unnecessarily plus any potential damages to the step and/or sprinkler system. Reading other reviews, it appears that this is how Delta runs their business. I will never, under any circumstance, do business with Delta Mechanical again.

      ******** Delta Mechanical installed my new water heater thriugh Hime Depot. When they came to install the water, the installers manager told me on the phone that a 3 vent pipe is required as per ********** City code and that it needs to be changed from the existing 2 vent pipe and it will cost me another $950 extra for it. I told him that my house is quite new built in 2014 and it should be per the current code. He said that the code had change since then, and if I dont change it, it will not pass the city inspection. So I had no choice but to agree to them. . On 11/16/23 the ********** city inspector came and I asked him about the change in code requiring 3 vent pipe. He said that the codes have not been changed at all, and they go by the installation booklet which clearly states that a 2 pipe or 3 pipe can be installed. He said that they shouldnt have changed it, because the existing 2 vent pipe was per code. I called Delta mechanical but was given run around telling me that the supervisor ***** will call back and then the manager ****** will call back. Its been two days given the run around no word from them.

      ********** advised id to call ********************** for water heater installation. We called DM and spoke with *******, who misled us and gave us a low quote. The installer came out and confirmed the quote but when he came back to install it he removed our old one then immediately advised of additional costs for items already included. Later we found installers get commission on any additional install costs. They put in the wrong expansion tank . After several more calls we were told another installer would replace the expansion tank and check the other issues. The new installer agreed the expansion tank was too small and replaced it at no charge. He agreed the added copper pipe should have been included in the normal install. He replaced one shut off valve that should have been included. ******* had told us he takes care of the original warranty with ***** and would file all necessary paperwork. Checking on the Rheem website, the information was inaccurate. Delta told us to contact ***** directly since they dont do the warranty which was untrue because they sent the inaccurate information. When we spoke to ***** to discuss who we could have make any repairs if ever needed, they also corrected the warranty information. ******* also said he had submitted the paperwork for the extended warranty through **********. When checking, there was no extended warranty. The main office said there was an issue and they had to refund and then recharge and then file the warranty which was done. We were led to believe that we had to go through Delta Mechanical to get the warranty and for any warranty repairs. After talking to ***** we found out this is not true. We can go to any authorized Rheem plumber for repairs and Rheem can give us those names/contacts. Delta Mechanical is an out of state company and very difficult to deal with. They list a local office but it is an ******* company. We hope this review helps others to avoid the issues we experienced.

      I wanted to replace an Echosmart 11 tankless water heater in my house. I went online and found the product at *********** When placing the order ********** asked if we wanted them to get company to install. We agreed and Delta Mechanical sent an estimate for $814 labor to install without looking at project. To get the product I had to sign agreement. I thought $814 was to install wiring and hookups and would be adjusted after install. The technician took less than an hour to hook up intake and out water hookup and plug it in. When I called the customer service line I was told that was their standard installation charge and if I could find a licensed plumber to quote lower price they would refund the difference 10% than that quote. Buyer beware, this is no way to conduct a business

      I had a tech come out and he looked at my water heater and told me I am sorry I can't install your water heater because of the two pipes that were coming out from under the house for the water heater. I ended up calling a different company to come out and that company installed my water heater.

      Read your reviews and our experience was like just one review. Received callback call immediately and they stated the technician would be here between 12 and 3. Received a call from the technician at 11:57 said he picked up the waterheater and would be there in 15 minutes which he was exactly. Worked for about 2hrs and 30 minutes and was off. Great job professional all the way. Guess we got a great technician.

      I ordered a water heater and installation by phone, answered and the questions about the location, access etc. I specifically told the 'agent' about two natural gas lines/pipes that would have to be temporally move out of the way to remove/install the heater. I was quoted a price and agreed to place an order. Trouble began with the installation time, I called them a few minutes before noon, the sign at the water heater display in my local ********** said words to the effect: order before noon for same day installation. Apparently because the order wasn't completed before noon next day installation was scheduled. The appointment time window I selected was not correct in the email acknowledgement and the installers arrived 1/2 hour late for the appointment time window in the acknowledgement. There was a significant language problem, the 'plumber' did not speak English and the 'tech' had to act as interpreter. The 'plumber' decided that an additional $150 was necessary because of the two gas lines I told the 'agent' about apparently were not noted/included in the price quote. Delta Mechanical refused to waive the $150 and I sent them away. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE

      They did a great job at installing the water heater, but they overpriced me. They quoted me for one price and the total end up being more than $200 more than what they said. I called them to let them know. They said they would get in contact with the person who quoted me so he can call me and go over that issue, that was almost a month ago. I know Ill never use them again or even recommend them. Like I said, The job was done right but they shared me $1000 just to install and all theyre little add ones that dont make sense. But oh well, ****** learned ??

      Technician didn't know how to turn the water off in order to install a water heater. Fired him on the spot. He said it wasn't his house so of course didn't know. Any plumber worth his salt should know basic procedures.
