1 starYEAH they came here to repair my central air unit(heat pump) that broke down because one of there contractors didnt tighten everything down so what happened was a wire yes a wire wore a hole in the copper pipe and all the freeon leaked out so the guy came siad they dont make the freeon or sell it anymore for my unit and that it wasnt fixable that i needed to get a new unit which would only cost me $17,000 so after the uy literally did nothing i had to pay him $100 thwen he said a guy wiould be dowmn to talk about new units well the guy came to sell me a new unit for $17,000 i ended up not being able toget it. WHAT MADE ME MADE IS HE DIDNT DO NOTHING AT ALL BUT LIE TO ME AND I ALSO HAD TO PAY THAT ***** $100 SO AFTER COUGHING UP $200 I FOUND OUT ALL I NEEDED TO GET DONE WAS REOLACE THE PIPE OR HAVE IT SODDERED AND YEAH THEY LIED TO ME SAYING THEY DIDNT SELL THE FREEON MY UNIT TOOK THEY SELL IT AT HARBOR FREIGHT, ********, AND MANY OTHER STORES SO NOW IM WITH OUT HEAT BECAUSE OF THERE CRAPPY WAYOF RIPPING PEOPLE OFF LIKE I AM A DISABLED VETERAN IM ON A FIXED INCOME AND THEY GO AROUND S******* PEOPLE LIKE THISReview fromStacey C

1 starMy name is ****** ****. We had a brand new unit installed in June 2022, which we paid $10,000 for. In August of 2023 we discovered that there was a water leak and a gas leak. They came out and tried to charge us to repair it. The water leak caused damage to our guest bathroom ceiling & the gas smell was so bad the techs originally couldnt even work up there. They had to come back the next day. Then in September of 2024 during a heat wave, the entire unit stopped working. We called them and they tried to charge us to come out. We found out that the blower motor was bad.. on a two year-old unit. The techs admitted on BOTH occasions that the install was bad yet they tried to charge us $1200 in labor to fix it and refused to take any responsibility, blaming everything on Mojave, the prior company. 7 days later, we have filed a complaint with the Nevada contractors board and they came out to do an inspection. We are still without AC and have an elderly person, disabled person and a 9 year old in the home. I spoke to ***** who is the service manager and he flat out told me we aint fixing this for free and good luck holding Mojave accountable because the owner is dead. He tried to say they have nothing to do with Mojave, but on their website there is a press releases stating ***************************** are one big happy family after a merger in April 2023. We already spent 10k, we do not have thousands more to spend. This has been the most devastating and stressful experience since the death of my mother. Words cannot describe how awful & scary this has been. Countless phone calls to them & pleading for help and nothing.Review fromRichard Q

We needed to have a hot water heater installed and checked the box on ************ website for the to install it. The next thing we knew we had an appt. set up with Ambient Edge/Plumbing by Jake. When the 2 guys got here they immediately started telling us that there was a $99 fee just for them showing up and it was $201 for them checking the old water heater. Then they had to go out to their van to "run the numbers" to give us an estimate. When they came back in they said that if we join their *** club that the $99 fee and the $201 fee would be waved, adding that the *** club was $19 per month and they handed my husband a card that showed what the *** club covered. When we asked how long we had to do it they didn't know, all they knew was what the card said. They added that if we joined the *** club that it would be 10% cheaper for their services. They said it was going to be $2037.81 without the *** club and that it was $1765.13 with the *** club. Of course we had to do the *** club because we couldn't afford any more money. We both felt that we were strong armed into joining the "club" to save money. They also said that there was a fee to pick up the hot water heater from *********** even though ********** would have delivered for free. While they were here they really tried to get us to let them repipe our home which was over ten thousand dollars with the *** club and one of them told my husband that we'd never be able to sell our home without it, though our neighbor with the same type home just sold hers without a repipe. So our hot water heater and the 1 1/2 hr install was over $2500. We never got anything in writing showing what we paid for even after I sent an e-mail requesting it, nor have we received any information on how long we have to stay in this *** club that we'll never use. Talk about price gauging/preying on senior citizens! We did get an e-receipt for install from ********** so somehow they're connected..Ambient Edge

Complete and utter price gauging; took full advantage of a senior citizen. Charged ****** for our hour of labor to install a garbage disposal that I had purchased (and detected the problem. ****** for ONE HOUR LABOR. Beware!!!!!Ambient Edge

All of our employees are trained to present options and get approval before performing any work. If for some reason this was not the case we would be happy to investigate this further. Lies. Their website states that there is a 24/7 policy for emegencies The website LIED. The 'Plumbing by Jake' / 'Ambient Edge' website has an emergency number, supposedly good for 24/7 emergencies (no hot water). The 'best' time for service was Monday. We need showers and to do the dishes TODAY. We are prepared to purchase a new hot water heater, possibly a tankless system (Rheem)9Ambient Edge

Let me first start with the positive ... we had to have our hot water recirculating pump replaced. ***** did an excellent job turning off the water to the hot water heater, draining the tank, running to a local hardware store to purchase the $350 replacement, unscrewing the old pump and s******* the new one in, turning the hot water back on, and starting up the new pump. He managed to do all of this, start to finish, in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Everything works as advertised.The negative ... this all cost $1321.65! Even subtracting the $99 just-to-show-up fee and rounding up the cost of the pump to cover the tax, that leaves at least $800 for 1 hour & 45 minutes of work. ALL he did was literally UNSCREW an old part and S**** a new one back in. I called to complain and was told that no one from the plumbing department was available to talk to me and that they would call me back. I AM STILL WAITING?????Additionally, ***** did not leave the operating manual, so I had to call to ask for one (which I have NOT received as yet). I also had to request a copy of a VERY minimal "Description of Work" invoice, because that was not emailed to me even though ***** said I would receive it within 15 minutes. When I asked for a more detailed invoice, I was told that this was the way their system worked and that there is no further detail.Ambient Edge
