  I would not recommend this company's services to anyone. I would recommend avoiding them altogether. I was solicited for services over the phone and had not even moved into my house yet. It was explained that if I start services with them while they were in the area, they would waive the initial $299 start-up fee. Then, I moved in, and after having additional retreatments for fire ants, I was still getting bitten every time I worked in my yard. Every tech that I was able to speak with had a different answer about the ants and even tried to upsell me to treat the same ants during a requested retreatment. Now, when I cancel, they send me a bill for the $299 that was waived over the phone. Yes, they had me sign on a small screen after the yard was being serviced in my absence, so I was already "under contract" and never was informed that the "waived" charge to start the service would be charged back to me.

  Have tried multiple companies over the years both in ******* and outside of ******* and I have loved Quell! Price is pretty standard not cheap but not expensive either. I have spoken with the manager ****** and he was great and super knowledgeable. Ive only had to have them out once after a heavy rain and we started noticing some bugs but they are responsive and do a great job!

  Don't sign up! This business gave an initial service and waived the $299 startup fee if I signed a 12-month contract; for which I would pay $45.00 per month for 4 services. Guy was here, sprayed inside and out and the next day we were infested with tiny flies. I called for a free re-service but it took a tech six days to come back (supposed to return in about 24 hrs per sales pitch.) He had no clue what type of pest they were and said he'd have someone "more knowledgeable" come out. A couple days later, another tech arrived, and he also had no clue. Could only suggest I get more fly traps. A guy named ****** started calling me to talk about the problem. I scheduled a t/c with him, but he never called. Spoke to him today to tell him I wanted to cancel my contract. He said flying pests were excluded from the contract, however, they are not named in the "excluded" section. He said the ones in our home were "fungus gnats" probably caused by the humidifiers one of the techs saw. I told him we don't use humidifies and what the tech saw were air purifiers for the dust. Another guy, ******* called and said pretty much the same thing. When I again said I wanted the contract cancelled and that I would not be paying the $299, he threatened me with collection. I believe Quell Pest Control is a worthless company that is only out to scam people into paying $299 for nothing. Wish I'd looked at the BBB before getting involved with them.

  DO NOT sign a contract with this company until you fully understand what you are signing for. The contract is cunning and it amounts to a trap if you decide to terminate it prior to completing the year. They will give you a so-called discount which amounts to nothing but a cancellation fee of an additional two month charge.

  We recently purchased a home in ********. I was contacted by a person claiming to have to been servicing the home and the neighborhood. NOT TRUE. I signed up thinking the it was a continuation of the current service being done on the home monthly. To my surprise and disgust I was LIED to by the company and it was for a 12 month commitment that they refused to cancel unless I paid the 299 if I didnt pay they would send it to collections, need less to say. I said cancel my service and try to collect

  Its a complete scam. The service is subpar and being that you sign a contract for 1 year; they feel no obligation to provide the service they say. I paid 300 to cancel after joining about 1 month earlier. Thought I shouldnt complain Ill just wait for them to come out thinking its monthly. Well when I called they let me know its not monthly. The first service was exterior only and didnt get rid of any of the ants or other pest. Never met the person who they said came out. At the end of the day they made 300 for what may have been 10 minutes in my yard if you have a pest issue choose someone else.. you cant just cancel if unhappy dont believe what they say only whats written.

  I have been contacted by someone who claims to be a representative for this company implying the previous homeowners had a service contract with them and that I could transfer it. This is a lie. I know the previous homeowners, they are my parents, and they have never done any business with this company.
