      I have had 3 different places diagnose my 2018 Toyota with needing the transmission replaced - including a transmission specialist and the Toyota dealership. However, because the transmission isn't reading a code and there is no contamination in the transmission fluid, they won't cover a new (or used) transmission. They are stating that there is no proof that the transmission is the issue while my car sounds like I'm driving a jet airplane due to the ball bearings in the transmission.

      ROUTE 66 WARRANTY IS AN AUTO SERVICES COMPANY, INC.
      THOUGHT THIS WAS A GREAT PROTECTION POLICY WHEN I PURCHASED A USED VEHICLE. UNTIL I ACTUALLY HAD TO PUT IN A CLAIM FOR REPAIRS. CALLED CLAIMS DEPT AND THEY VERIFIED MY CONCERNS WERE COVERED UNDER MY POLICY AND ADVISED TO TAKE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR FACILITY FOR AN ESTIMATE. THE DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED DIAGNOSTIC COSTS WAIVED IF THEY DO THE REPAIR. AFTER THE DEALERSHIP PROVIDED REPAIR ESTIMATE. ROUTE 66 SENDS AN INSPECTOR AND REPORTS VEHICLE HAS A LIFT AND TIRES. NOT COVERING ANY REPAIRS. CALLED ROUTE 66, CLAIMS REP AND SUPERVISOR BOTH RUDE AND TALKED OVER ME, WHEN I TRIED TO EXPLAIN WHY I AM REQUESTING A FULL POLICY REFUND AND DIAGNOSTIC FEE. I WOULD HAVE NOT INCURED THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE BECAUSE THEIR REP SAID IT WAS COVERED, THEY JUST NEED THE REPAIR COST FROM THE DEALERSHIP.
      AFTER NO RESOLUTION, I ASKED THE SUPERVISOR JIM (EMPLOYEE# ****) FOR HIS LAST NAME, SAID HE DOES NOT HAVE TO GIVE HIS FULL NAME. ASKED FOR HIS MANAGER'S AND CONTACT NUMBER, SAID THAT WOULD BE THE BOARD MEMBERS AND GAVE ME THE CLAIMS DEPT E-MAIL. RIDICULOUS!!!
      1 STAR RATING IS FOR THE CANCELLATION DEPARTMENT, VERY HELPFUL AND COURTEOUS.
      THEY'LL TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR A POLICY AND THEN THEY'LL FIND A POLICY EXCLUSION AND USE THIS REASON NOT COVERING NEEDED REPAIRS. REPS SHOW NO CONCERN AND TRY TO TALK OVER YOU.
      NO CONCERN ON HOW THEY CAN ASSIST WITH FINDING A RESOLUTION FOR BOTH PARTIES TO AGREE.
      I WAS TOLD "IT IS WHAT IT IS"! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE,
      WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

      Great service, competitive price and comprehensive coverage purchased via my credit union. I've used the warranty multiple times with no issues and $0 deductible. My mechanic said they were super easy to work with, better than most companies. So glad I decided to buy this warranty, will purchase again.

      On April 15, 2025, Athens Auto Care submitted all requested documents to ASC Warranty, including a sensitive W-9 form, our state sales tax certificate, and full client and vehicle details. Along with the submission, we specifically asked whether the client’s vehicle would be covered before proceeding further.
      Despite multiple follow-up attempts on April 19 and April 23, 2025, ASC Warranty failed to respond regarding coverage approval. Instead, they insisted the W-9 be sent again, despite having already confirmed receipt of the documents.
      Subsequently, a different representative claimed that nothing had ever been received, directly contradicting the confirmation emails we hold as proof. Throughout this time, our inquiries about the client's coverage were ignored. Rather than providing clarity, ASC Warranty continued requesting sensitive business information without even verifying whether the claim would be honored.
      Due to ASC Warranty's delays and lack of professionalism, the client ultimately retrieved her vehicle, frustrated by the absence of a decision. Athens Auto Care waived both the diagnostic fee and storage costs to avoid burdening the customer further.
      This experience shows a serious lack of accountability and communication on the part of ASC Warranty. Sensitive information should not be requested lightly, and businesses should not be forced to submit private documents without assurance of coverage.
      Both service facilities and clients deserve better support, transparency, and professionalism from a warranty company. We strongly encourage ASC Warranty to revisit its internal procedures and ensure more reliable handling of future claims.
