11-8-21 I called herring because heat pump not heating. Technician "******" arrived and told me my unit lost freon because my evaporation coil was leaking and wanted $2,600 because my unit was out of warranty. I called the warranty on speaker phone and they said my parts are 100% covered under warranty, Then ****** said o.k.. then its $900 labor. I looked on the internet what the estimated labor is for a 4 ton package unit evaporation coil labor and it was $595 to $750. I called the office on 11-10-21 and on 11-12-21 and spoke to ****** and requested to speak to the owner about the problem and she said she would have them call me. They never called and my house was cold for over a week. I had to purchase kerosene and two electric blankets, I finally called another heating and cooling company and they came within two hours and said I had a bad reverse valve and fixed it free under warranty. They also replaced my thermostat . They checked and found no freon leak and said my evaporation coil was fine, I know the company intentionally misdiagnosed my problem so they could over charge me, When you test freon its full or its not and when they called the warrant company its under warranty or it's not. They want to charge me for a service call of $69 and I don't want to pay because of fraud.
