    Midas ******, AL Misdiagnosed Repair, No Refund, and No Resolution After Three Months Complaint Summary:On May 2, 2025, I took my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Midas in ******, ******* for an engine repair. The store committed to fixing the issue and charged my card $1,351.13 the same day. After picking up the vehicle and driving it home, my wife and I immediately noticed the same issues were still present.The following day (May 3, 2025), we returned the vehicle to the same Midas location. The store manager then informed us that the vehicle had been misdiagnosed, that the engine was unrepairable, and that the work charged for was not a valid fix for the actual problem. Despite acknowledging the error, Midas has not issued a refund.Timeline of Events:May 2, 2025 Vehicle brought in for engine repair; $1,351.13 charged.May 3, 2025 Returned vehicle; informed of misdiagnosis and inability to repair.MayJune 2025 Multiple unsuccessful attempts to obtain refund directly from store.Early June 2025 Took four weeks to obtain contact information for area manager ******* ********.June 9, 2025 First contact with Mr. ******** regarding refund.June 9August 12, 2025 Weekly follow-ups made with no resolution or timeline provided.August 12, 2025 Most recent communication; still no refund or corporate escalation contact provided.Attempts to Resolve:I have contacted the store manager and the area manager multiple times.The area manager has refused to provide contact information for his superiors.I have received no updates, no written explanation, and no refund in over three months.Desired Resolution:Full refund of $1,351.13 for misdiagnosed and incomplete *************** information for Midas corporate or regional leadership to ensure transparency.Supporting Documentation:Receipt showing $1,351.13 charged on May 2, 2025.Any text message communications with the store or area manager.Vehicle service notes from Midas acknowledging the misdiagnosis.

    Car was dropped off on Saturday 08/05/23. I have a dash cam in my car in front window. business unplugged my dash cam after watching the video on 08/09/23. got car back 08/08/23 at 1pm. sunday's and mondays camera footage of them working on car is missing. Camera was unplugged in my car when I picked up vehicle. called and asked why they unplugged my camera he said I cant film his mechanic working on my car. so what were they doing to my car that they had to unplug the dash cam to see where car was going? did they take the car out for joy riding? and why is my property being touched in my car and cameras being unplugged as if they dont want any camera footage very strange you would unplug a dash cam for 2 days while car is in shop. and when customer asks about it. you say I cant record without the mechanic's permission. this is not true. so why would they unplug my dash cam? he would no talk to me on the phone when I called business either. told me he was not discussing it. seems very shady. may get lawyer involved. please contact this business for this. I want to know why they unplugged my camera in my car window . business ph number to midas is : *************. owner name is ****.
