Floyd C******, sales rep did an excellent job coming to our home to spec and quote windows and doors for our remodel and home addition. He was very knowledgeable and responsive to questions. We delayed our addition, however moved forward with the remodel and replaced our French doors/solid window unit with a large slider. The door is beautiful. The installers were knowledgeable and had the rear wall of our home opened and closed in the same day to install the unit. We paid 50% when ordered and paid 50% at completion. Unfortunately, someone neglected to input the charge at completion 1/29/21 and I received a text 9/15/21 saying accounts receivable was saying I owed the $**** balance of the door and their accounting system only goes back 6 mo. It would not have been a problem had I used a credit card, but I used a Visa Reward card and threw the card away after zeroing it out. As a result, they reported me to a collection agency. There was no communication between January and September that the amount was outstanding. What happened to a 30, 60 or 90 day notice? The result was having to backtrack 10 months to find the issuer of the card, phone number, hours of explanation to find out PELLA NEVER CHARGED THE CARD. As a result of their neglect, I was insulted by being turned over to a collection agency (has never happened in my life), received repeated phone calls I thought was spam since they never said what the call concerned, and was told by the local office that management told her not to speak with me. Now I understand why none of the 4 contractors who quoted our home addition use Pella. The sales rep was great, the door is good, however the customer service was HORRIBLE. As a result, we paid what we owed, however will not be using Pella for the additional $****** worth of windows and doors for our addition.
