About $1500 Of merchandise in the car. I purchased a car for a young friend, *************************. I pd $3500 for the car. ****** was picked up from his job sight and put in jail. The job sight had Hurst tow it. I visited once and called on several occasions. I was told over and over that ****** would need to be the one to pick up the car.I spoke with a female on 11/24. I ask her if we would still be able to still get the car out for the promised $600 when ****** got out of jail. She said she would check and call me back. She called me back shortly after and said that the $600 would get the car out as soon as ****** got out of jail and came in with his ID. I could not do it because it was his name on the title and bill of sale. I told her it would be after the first of the year. I was told that was not a problem. As soon as ****** got out the first part of January and went in with his ID, he was told that the car had been auctioned off. We had several conversations with ***********. He said he would work to get the car back from the person that had purchased it, seeing how it was still on the lot of the towing company. When we talked to him last week, we were told that we could not get the car and he would have never said that he would hold it. Neither us or the seller got notification that the car was going to auction. Would like to recover the money for the car and merchandise.
