I was a patient of Skin Wellness Dermatology. I needed the doctor to examine an irritating bump on my neck and so I called for an appointment and was told I couldn't get an appointment for three months (even though I had been a patient for over a year). I told them not to worry about it, that I needed to get the bump checked out immediately and that I would no longer be using them for dermatological services. About four months later I was notified that they had charged me $50 for not showing up to the appointment. I told them that I had cancelled this and all future appointments and the receptionist responded that she would remove the "no show" fee. Later I got a letter in the mail advising that I owed $50 for missing the appointment. When I called again the receptionist said they had no record of my call and refused to remove the fee! I have not paid this fee but I continue to receive emails, texts and letters every two weeks demanding that I pay the $50 fee. I would like them to remove the incorrectly charged fee, remove me from their patient rolls and to stop contacting me. At this point it feels like harassment and as it is their mistake I should not owe them any money.
