Southeast Gas installed a gas water heater at our family home in July 2019.The installed heater has never worked properly since it was installed. The pilot light goes out on a regular basis. When weve called for service for the same problem many times, were told about the $65 charge. Weve paid the charge several times and still ended up with the same issues for 3 years.Weve had problems with the water heater since it was installed. We had to call and request service for the heater several times because the pilot light continues to go out, which leaves us without hot water.This has happened several times. When weve called them to request repairs to be made, we were told that there is a $65.00 charge for a repairman to come out. Ive paid the $65 charge several times and we still ended up with a blown-out pilot light and cold water. The repair persons have informed us that they blew the system out and relit the pilot light. This was done twice. One time was not long after the water heater was installed. We still ended up during the Christmas Holiday without hot water. On another call in April of 2022, we had to pay $65 for a service call for the same blown power light. The repairman said an ant bed had developed beneath the water heater and that forced the pilot light out.The last service charge was in April of 2022 for the same issue. When I arrived on April 27th, there was no hot water even though I was told that an ant bed had forced the pilot light out. The ant bed was taken care of and still no pilot light or hot water. When I called on June 16th, I heard the same story about the $65 charge, nothing at all about trying to correct a defected water heater.On today June 18, 2022, I had a service tech to come out and look at the water heater. He tried to relight the pilot light and couldnt. He said the heater is probably defected because Ive had these same issues with it since it was installed. I'm really tired of this.
