On about 20 March 2025 I posted an ad on Alaska's List under the premise that the posting would run as a free ad. However, the owner of the site claims my ad didn't qualify for free service even though there were many other ads that were running for free. The owner never ran my ad but now keeps sending me harassing emails telling me I have to either pay for the ad to run or pay $1.89 to cancel the ad. I don't understand why I have to pay money to cancel a service that was never provided. The owner sends me a daily email telling me to pay for the service. I refuse to pay any amount of money for a service that was not provided. I keep responding to his harassing ads by telling them I will not pay the money, but they won't respond. I simply want this harassment to stop since I did not receive any service from this company. My ad number is ******. Titled Large Rifle Primers.

In October 2024 , I attempted to sell a vehicle by listing an ad on the ************************** site. I completed the form, added a few pictures, and added my contact information. Within a day or 2, I received an email and a text indicating that I needed to edit my ad and that it didn't qualify a Free listing. The site offered multiple options to pay for a preferred listing. There was no option for a free **** assumed the listing was not qualified to be free due to including photos so I attempted to edit the listing and remove the photos, however, the ad could not be edited. I decided to try to delete the ad and was directed to a ****** page requesting payment to cancel the **** have made several attempts to have the webmaster just remove the listing and have not made any progress. As a consumer, I believe the program should prompt for payment if a Free Ad is not available as an option and the forced payment to cancel when the service was not provided is unethical.I have since sold the vehicle and have a rule setup to delete the daily emails. I have attached the emails and screenshot of the results of clicking the edit link and the delete link.

I posted an ad for at least one gun named Archon type B, and received text message response from ********** and was told to pay for upgraded featured ad status or else ad would be inactive. I paid and did not receive an email receipt or confirmation of any kind that the ad was up and running-this was in the amount of $10. Then I paid again after not hearing anything back shortly after this in the amount of $8-(for less features). I still did not receive a confirmation of any kind nor did I receive a link to edit my ad. I paid a third time in the amount of $8 and finally received a link to edit my ad and was told the ad was up and running through text from the same phone number. The date I posted the ad and received the link was 11/23/24. I asked for a refund the next day 11/24/24 for the extra $16 paid for the same service on accident and cited that I did not receive a confirmation or receipt for the original payment that it had gone through. I had assumed the card was not charged or the system had an error processing payment. I was told that refund were not possible, so I explained the situation and said I wanted a refund. Then the person I was messaging responded: We think Agreements are important, and only wish to do business with folks who will abide by the Agreements that they enter into with us. Obviously, you are NOT such a person, which is why you are now banned from ever using our service again. And sent me a graphic saying BANNED in red lettering. I said I had at least one ad running-(I think I have multiple ads actually but cant access the others). Then he replied: You obviously have a reading comprehension issue and It's impossible to deal with people who are functionally illiterate such as yourself. Thus insulting my intelligence. My ad link was then taken down and showed banned user on the top-indicating the ad was no longer active. Thus I paid for the service and did not receive it

I was looking at posting an add to stud my dog, but never clicked post add. A few months later they sent an email saying I was committing larceney by not paying for the add even though I had not posted the add and the add in question was never featured on their website. I tried contacting the website with no response from them. I tried deleting the add and paying for it and they denied it and said I am banned from there website, and they are keeping my information to share and they will not respond to my inquires and they tried keeping the money I tried to use to delete the post even though they would not delete it.

I paid for an ad with them. They changed my title without my knowledge and consent, plus they moved it from the relevant category. There were no guidelines available before hand, had I realized they would relegate my ad to a different section and complete change my heading, I would not have paid for an ad.They will not allow me to change the heading or category not will they refund me. They contacted me to ask me for payment and to let me know my ad posted, but have ignored any attempts at resolution.

I advertised my puppies and followed all the guidelines. I paid the fees. Nothing was published and I got a nasty text saying I didn't follow the rules. When I asked about a refund I did not get a reply. He was a thief and excessively rude.

Paid **** for a ad to be featured. As stated in ad I am posting puppies to be born any day. Requirement to post I had to send a photo of what I am selling with a clothes hanger (technically I did because the dog is pregnant and in photo) I text a photo of parents, also parents photos posted in ad, I very clearly stated that these are parents are babies are not born yet. The owner said "Those are not puppies". The owner of Alaska Web Services stole my ****. I just wonder how many other people have posted an ad for upcoming puppies and were ripped off? That just doesn't seem right to me. He should have refunded the money or explained to post after puppies were born and apply my **** to that ad. Please help. I read online many other horrible experiences with this individual.

I tried to advertise a new litter of puppies we were expecting. Immediately after submitting the ad, I received an automated text which notified me that my ad was suspended because Alaska List "will not run ads posted by people advertising animals which have not been born yet." This first attempt was on May 30th, 2023.June 1st, 2023, puppies were born, and on June 3rd I tried again. This time I got this message:"We're sorry, but because your ad does not qualify for placement as a Free Ad (a charitable public service), you will be required to upgrade to a Featured Ad in order to publish this advertisement...Featured ads are a paid option to give your listing greater visibility. Nowhere on the site does it say that you have to buy a featured ad. It's advertised as optional. Alaska List sent me many texts and emails advising me that my ad needed attention (i.e. I needed to pay for a Featured ad.) I got fed up and tried to delete it, but they required a $1.89 deletion fee in order to delete it. Mind you, this was a deletion fee for an ad that was NEVER visible on their website! I finally paid for a 30 day ad ($9.99, July 17), but they deleted it on July 29th because it had an asterisk in it. August 3rd, 2023, I attempted to post another ad. I paid $4.99 for a 10 day Featured Ad. I got a text that my ad was suspended because external website links are only allowed in Featured Ads. I'd gotten up to take care of my baby between writing the ad and paying for it through PayPal. I sent them a text and an email to get it resolved. No reply. I tried repeatedly over several days. Their contact address kicked my email back with an error, so I sent it to the webmaster Alaska list email and to their text line.August 9, I opened a case through PayPal to get my $4.99 back. PayPal issued me a refund. I received an email from PayPal confirming this at 11:56 AM. At 12 PM (noon), I received a text from Alaska List stating that I am now banned from using their service.
