Today I was served a eviction for unpaid rent when I'm paid up even in advance. I was already "evicted" but was dropped. All of this is over a property manager that was hired when I was employed there and is a unreasonable and lack of a better word a c*** She has absolutely been harassing me since she started and even after I was forced to quit because of her. I'm absolutely done dealing with inspections and false claims of damage that's never occurred.Business response

This tenant was not served a notice for nonpayment. They were served a 30 day no cause eviction notice, as aloud by state law. Provided that they have a zero balance and the unit has been properly cleaned up, their security deposit is refundable.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
This is ******** I got served notices for everything under the sun had to miss several days of work for inspections or whatever they felt like they could get away with. Then even after all that and passing inspections get told they want to go a different direction. This isn't a **** job interview this is where me and my family live. I'm literally the only tenant that does anything around here. Let's bring up how nothing has been done at this property including fire alarms and the lawn only getting done once the entire summer. Per lease agreement if this s*** company wants to pull "legal" ******** I want a refund and compensation for missed work and unnecessary stress and strain on my family.

We have had ceiling damage which they only repaired using the minimal amount of effort the same damage is occurring again, multiple leaks in the same spot cockroaches brought in from other tenants they sprayed our apartment but it didn't help and mold growing in the building hallway all of these issues have been brought to there attention but they continue to dismiss the growing problems and health concerns in the this buildingBusiness response

As you acknowledged, every time we have received a maintenance request, we have responded right away. We have not received any new recent request. Please just simply call our office to report any new items that *** need attention and we will be more than happy to get it addressed. Thank you.

My problem is with Nova Property Management, their refusal to do any maintenance on the OLD house, which is not worth $1,500.00 a month, first off, they never told me about the rodent problem, the septic problem which was fixed before I rented the house, the washing machine which keeps breaking, the light fixture, in the bedroom, the lights keep burning out, 4 times already, and they refuse to send someone to fix it, the heat, which a person came, 4 times already, and still not fixed, the floors, which seems ready to cave in, the hallway, the kitchen, the bathroom, the closet doors in the main bedroom, which keeps falling off, reported it 3 times, no answer; the refrigerator, is not working properly; the kitchen and bathroom sinks, I reported that the water goes down slowly, reported it, nothing; when I moved in, 2 sheds in the back were broken into, I reported it, the property manager said he would send someone to check it out, never came; all this was mostly reported the first month I moved in, which was February 1, 2021; the last time I reported about the sink, the secretary just laughed; I did report this to the ************ Services, but the *********** did do little work; now, they are ignoring all that I report and all that needs fixing; the owner says he has no control over the ***********, but they did replace the person who was the landlord because he refused to even answer my emails, texts, and calls that the house needs repairs; all that I do report, nothing, its been 1 month now since I reported about the sink, nothing; I did take pictures of when the rodent problem started, and still have pictures; and some notes of when I reported about maintenance; I would like to get my money back, I am a elder, viet nam veteran, with PTSD, and all this problems is not helping with my condition; I did try reporting to 3 different tv stations, and the anchorage daily news, but nothing; nobody wanted to help; how can I get this problem solved? thank youBusiness response

We have spoken with the tenant and all items have been addressed. We informed the tenant that we definitely did not laugh at him, there may have been laughing in the background when he called but it had nothing to do with him. We apologized if there was a misunderstanding. All reported maintenance items have been addressed and taken care of. We followed up with him to verify everything was properly taken care of and the tenant reported to us he was happy and everything was good.

This property management company is very shady. They don’t fix problems in the houses. They don’t return calls or respond to texts. We moved out of state and have been trying to get our deposit back on the home we lived in. A friend of mine also rented from them and experienced the same issues. We were never late on our rent and the house was very clean with many updates we did just so we could live there. My husband fell through the deck. We made many calls to have it fixed and wasn’t until he was hurt did they fix it. I just want my deposit back. You can only pay with cash or cashiers check. The office is old and I truly question the business practices. I am a registered nurse and my husband is retired. Please check into them.Business response

Thank you for making us aware of your concerns. All of your maintenance concerns were always promptly addressed. Your husband even came into our office and thanked us for getting things taken care of right away. If this is stemming from your security deposit, you turned in notice to move out of the property at the turn of the month, just 12 days ago. By law we are allowed 30 days when there is a deduction against the security deposit. As your property manager has already discussed with you, the property was not left clean - photos can be provided. We needed the invoice for the cleaned to come in before closing out your deposit statement. You were always great at paying rent on time, so the cleaning charge is the only charge against your deposit. We enjoyed working with you and wish you the best. Thank you.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I will be receiving all but 380.00 of my deposit. I have not received it yet. I still feel that this company does not listen to its clients needs. I hope that going forward they will strive to work on fixing issues for clients in a more organized manner. They took 380.00 for cleaning purposes. I did clean the house but obviously it was not good enough. At this point I am happy to get what they are giving me.

On April 4, 2021 I gave 30 days notice of moving out of a rental property. On the last week in April I was told I did not give notice correctly and was still responsible for May rent. So I sent another notice and paid $1800 for May's rent. The movers moved most of my things May 3rd. I left some some things and all of my cleaning tools. Since I was paid up until the end of may, I took my time doing the final clean. Nova entered, showed the place and took my stuff and changed the locks. Nova claims no one took anything.Business response

Per your written communication to Nova on April 27th, you gave written notice "I am giving notice to move out on May 3rd, 2021." Copy can be provided in needed. We did not go to the property until after the date you had put in writing that you would be out of the house. We found the house empty, as you indicated your movers had removed everything. We simply changed the locks after the date you put in writing to us that you would be gone. We apologize for any inconvenience, we were simply following what you had put in writing.
