Tech Support - Tech Support

I looked up Geek Squad on my DuckDuckGo browser for Tech support. The number given was 713-489-9616. I had lost my contacts on my outlook and was looking for help to support to restore them. The contact person that answered the phone said he would have a Tech call me in 10 minutes. A man that identified as Peter Johnson called me back. He asked for permission to access my computer on line which I authorized thinking I had the Geek Squad. Everything seemed official, assigning a service order number. He said he knew what my problem was and that I had been hacked and that it was urgent to protect my sensitive accounts, credit cards, Amazon Account. He said to enter my passwords to check on the accounts and that he couldn't see from his end. Then I became suspicious and said how do I know you are the Geek Squad. He became belligerent and said you called me. I tried to disconnect from my computer but he had control on his end. I finally was able to disconnect but I don't know what kind of information he was able to extract from my computer. I immediately notified my credit card companies and Amazon Account and my Identity theft protection account about what occurred, I cancelled the cards and changed email passwords. The only damage I'm aware of at this point is he he ordered a Best Buy Gift Card on my Amazon Account. I reacted quick enough that Amazon did not charge my account for the gift card. I feel totally violated and can't believe I fell for it.

Online Purchase - Empire Accelerator

***** ******* and her husband ***** run a "business" called Empire Accelerator. She sells these "fake" mentorships on Instagram that lead people to believe they can create their own Amazon business. I spent several weeks, and hundreds of hours doing product research. For the kind of money spent, one on one coaching and mentoring should have been given. All of my submissions for products were denied, even though the criteria they outlined was met. Any feedback provided was so minimal, they were one word answers. One would have expected at least a paragraph to help mentor and provide guidance. There was zero return on my investment. It is completely amateur, and a scam. They run their business out of the UAE.

Both also ended up charging me more and Toysvibex recharged me after the refund so i don’t really get a refund. Toysvibex cost me 63.99 before I closed my account and toys2love 16.94. Online Purchase - Amazon Liquation Pallets

The scammers advertise Amazon return merchandise in boxes and then several boxes on a pallet. They advertise small, medium, and large pallets. The advertisement for a small pallet says, "As the warehouse rental agreement expires at the end of the month, we are selling pallets at a low price of $29 to avoid moving the goods. The vast majority of them are various types of high-end electronics"! I decided to buy a small pallet. What I received was a small box that fit in my mail box. When I opened the package, there was a box with the words 'Mystery Box". I opened that box and in it was another box that said 'Smart Band 7'. When I opened this box, it was a CHEAP plastic smart watch similar to a Fitbit. Not worth the money I paid! So an advertisement for a small pallet turned out to be a small box.

Online Purchase - petkit

I ordered the PETKIT PuraMax Self-Cleaning Litter Box with N50 Odor Eliminator from a third-party seller on Amazon on May 28, 2025. The product was listed as in stock, and my order was confirmed with a promised delivery date of July 5, 2025. However, on the day of expected delivery, I received a generic message stating that the item was delayed due to “supply chain issues” and asking for my permission to continue or cancel the order. No tracking number was ever provided, and at no point was I able to contact the seller or cancel through the usual Amazon options. Despite this delay, the seller continued to list the same item as "in stock" (now showing 5 units available), which strongly suggests they are accepting new orders they are unable — or unwilling — to fulfill. I later found multiple customer reviews reporting identical issues, indicating this is not an isolated incident. This behavior gives the appearance of a bait-and-delay scam, where a seller lists items they cannot deliver in order to collect preorders, possibly with the intent of upselling newer or higher-priced models later. I reported the issue to Amazon support, but I believe this seller’s practices are misleading and potentially harmful to customers. Others should be cautious when ordering from this seller, especially for high-value items.

Employment - Elite prime group

I applied to a job posted by a company called Elite Prime Group, which advertised a position that seemed legitimate. After I applied, I was contacted and told I was hired quickly, with very little screening involved. I was invited to attend an orientation, which raised several red flags: Here's a paragraph you can add to the report, detailing the hiring process: The hiring process began with a two-step Zoom interview. During the first interview, I was told that over 200 applicants had applied and only 15 were selected for the second round. In the second interview, they stated they would only hire 5 of the 15 remaining candidates. However, when I showed up to orientation, there were nearly 20 people present—far more than the number they claimed would be hired. This contradiction was extremely confusing and felt dishonest. It made me question the legitimacy of the hiring process and whether there was ever any intention of selectively hiring candidates based on merit. The original job posting I applied to made no mention of a company called Elite Prime Group. It was advertised as a Sales Associate position for AT&T, which led me to believe I would be working directly with or for AT&T. I had no idea who Elite Prime Group was until I received an email congratulating me on being hired—without ever being told I had officially gotten the job. Even after attending the orientation, the actual job duties remained extremely vague and unclear. They provided no formal job description, and it was difficult to get straight answers from anyone about what the day-to-day responsibilities would involve. This bait-and-switch tactic felt deceptive and misleading.  No identification or paperwork was collected. They did not verify my ID, Social Security number, or complete any tax/employment forms. During orientation, there were numerous inconsistencies between the information presented by different managers. One said another manager had only worked there for 6 weeks, while that same manager later claimed to have been there for over a year. A representative from the company admitted directly that they frequently change the name of the company, which they said was "normal." The company promised payment ($300) only after attending 11 straight days of unpaid training with 100% attendance, which seems predatory. I later discovered the company has no online presence aside from its own website. It is not listed on Google, not on the Better Business Bureau, and there are no verifiable reviews or history anywhere online. I now strongly believe this company is using a fake job offer to gather people under false pretenses, possibly to exploit free labor, steal information, or avoid employment laws. I did provide personal financial (background check) information, I am reporting this because I believe others could fall for this and potentially suffer real harm. Desired Outcome: I would like this business investigated and flagged to prevent others from being scammed by their false job postings and misleading orientation process.

Online Purchase - Online Book Publishing Scam

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a fraudulent publishing company operating under the name KDP Publishing, which falsely claimed affiliation with Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) platform. I was led to believe this was a legitimate publishing service and unfortunately became a victim of what I now believe is a multi-state publishing scam. On March 20th, 2025, I was contacted by Jack Hudson, who identified himself as a Project Manager for KDP Publishing. He provided a phone number (929-404-1640) and email address ([email protected]). Mr. Hudson presented me with a publishing agreement, stating that my book could be published and distributed on major platforms, including Amazon KDP and Barnes & Noble, by Easter 2025. The contract I received was marked as legally binding and included a digital signature. An additional contact, Jacob Harrison, who identified himself as the Editing Manager, also communicated with me via phone (844-654-5010). The services offered included: • $1,000 for book publication and distribution on five platforms. • $5,500 for trademarking my author name. • $1,500 for marketing and promotional services. Mr. Hudson instructed me to create an IngramSpark account and provide him with the username and password so that he could upload my manuscript for eBook distribution. Despite multiple revisions and long periods of editing, I never saw my book published on any platform as promised. After initial contact, the company gradually stopped answering calls and emails. On May 30th, 2025, I received a printed copy of my book ISBN#*****************, which had clearly been processed through Lulu.com, not Amazon or IngramSpark. The package came from a company calling itself Book Marketers, with a listed phone number of 347-434-6677, but the number was non-functional. No one at Lulu.com could provide a return contact, and there was no available customer service phone number. I contacted USPS to gather information about the sender using tracking number **************************, and I filed a mail fraud complaint in the hopes of tracing the origin of the shipment. I also contacted my bank to dispute the $1,000 payment, which had been processed under the name "Book Services" with a bank listing address of 5900 Balcones Drive, Austin, TX. A Google search showed that the business at that location is a company called ONKlinical Research LLC, which has no associated website or contact information. I suspect this is a shell company used to mask fraudulent activity. I now believe I was defrauded by individuals or entities using the false name “KDP Publishing,” leveraging Amazon’s brand to gain credibility. The individuals involved used disconnected phone numbers, fake email addresses, and redirected funds through suspicious means. It is important to me that this complaint be reviewed and investigated thoroughly so that other aspiring authors are not targeted by this same scam. I am providing this information in full transparency and would appreciate any further guidance or assistance your office can provide to pursue restitution or action against these perpetrators. Thank you for your time and consideration. Here is a copy of the contract: AUTHOR PUBLISHING AGREEMENT This Agreement is made and entered into on this 20th day of March, 2025, by and between KDPPublishers (hereinafter referred to as the "Publisher”) and ***** ****** (hereinafter referred to as the "Author") WHEREAS, the Author wishes to publish a book using the services provided by the Publisher; and WHEREAS, the Publisher agrees to provide the Author with publishing, editorial, and distribution services as outlined in this Agreement. Online Purchase - Online Retailer Scam

Saw an ad for Beryse lip oils on instagram and clicked on it and ordered 2 lip oils. Products on their website show Beryse labels. I got the product and it says LakeRain Lip Gloss. The 2 products have the brand on them and I looked them up online and they are a cheap product only costing $8 on amazon. I reached out to customer service and showed proof of purchase and asked for a refund. They responded that they had relabeled some items or something. I put in another request for refund. No response so far.

There is a website you are linked to via a facebook advertisement in which states that you geta set of dentures that are real life, the company shows Bestdela.com but what I an tell you is the first email that I reeived I knew I was in trouble beause it had a bunch of chinese symbols then the name Bestdela. They advertise that you get them in no ore then 15 days, There is no form of contacting this comany to expres your concerns except for an email address everytime you email them they tell you oh what you order number, They depcit photos onlne of a set of real dentures they even do a comparable chart showing a real set of dentures that are supposed to heat and then they fit, HOWEVER that would not be the case, also next to the photo of the real set off dentures they depicit a photo of the plastic pieces you get from temu and say we not like other brand, That turned out to be lie. I could have boughten what I purchased from them for 2.00 from Temu they are seding you baiscally a box filled with white plastic beads that's what you get for almost $30.00 white beads you can melt in the microwave. they are a straight up scam I have been sending emails to them repetively, I checked amazon the same product is bieng sold, however amazon fosters and failitates unscrupulous business practices however other peple are reporting that they too are recieveing only a box of beads and they too are not able to get any contact with the company and I think it's tragic they sit over seas and are ripping people off they have treid to get money from paypal it was a burner account I took the bank card off so there is no money to get. Please if you see a boc hopefully there will be a place to upload photo bevause any box that looks like this is a part of the fraud it is a ring of them because same box customers complaining the same things There is no phone number or address listed I had to put an old phone number of mine under business phone number so plese don't post that phone as theeir phone number it is an invalid number that used to be mine however email of [email protected] or website www..bestdela.com It is a very minute amout of money but it's the principal of the fact of what they are doing and how many thousands of people they are doing it too every day no matter the time "you only have 30 moinutes until the sale ends.

Retail Business

Received a phone call that there was a $999 charge pending on my Amazon account. I called the number back, they said a new account has been opened on June 5, 2025 in my maiden name: Tracy T Bressan. I explained that was a fraudulent account, they asked me if I was certain, and I said yes. They asked me for my email address and BANK’s email address to contact them & follow up & let them know this was a fraudulent account. I did not provide that information. Then I called legit Amazon customer service at 888–280–4331. Spoke with representative and they confirmed no additional account and that the call was fraudulent. I have blocked that phone number on my phone.
