I ordered the PETKIT PuraMax Self-Cleaning Litter Box with N50 Odor Eliminator from a third-party seller on Amazon on May 28, 2025. The product was listed as in stock, and my order was confirmed with a promised delivery date of July 5, 2025. However, on the day of expected delivery, I received a generic message stating that the item was delayed due to “supply chain issues” and asking for my permission to continue or cancel the order. No tracking number was ever provided, and at no point was I able to contact the seller or cancel through the usual Amazon options. Despite this delay, the seller continued to list the same item as "in stock" (now showing 5 units available), which strongly suggests they are accepting new orders they are unable — or unwilling — to fulfill. I later found multiple customer reviews reporting identical issues, indicating this is not an isolated incident. This behavior gives the appearance of a bait-and-delay scam, where a seller lists items they cannot deliver in order to collect preorders, possibly with the intent of upselling newer or higher-priced models later. I reported the issue to Amazon support, but I believe this seller’s practices are misleading and potentially harmful to customers. Others should be cautious when ordering from this seller, especially for high-value items.
